Audrey Luu

Audrey Luu is the newest attorney on the Shebby • Hirashima LLP team. She is excited to grow in her practice and looks forward to receiving a specialist designation in the coming years. Prior to joining Shebby • Hirashima LLP, Ms. Luu represented family law litigants from the inception of their dissolution or paternity proceeding through judgment or subsequent modification. She gained experience with drafting and preparing necessary law and motion papers, financial documents, discovery requests and responses, and settlement proposals. She has appeared on behalf of clients at Request for Order and Domestic Violence Restraining Order hearings. Ms. Luu attended Loyola Law School where she served as an editor of the Entertainment Law Review. She graduated from University of California, Irvine, with B.A.s in Criminology, Law, and Society and Psychology Social Behavior. In her free time, Ms. Luu enjoys watching competitive cooking T.V. shows and being the ultimate tourist in her own city and beyond.

Belinda To

A native to Los Angeles, Belinda earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was a Certified Law Student for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office and Legal Extern for Loyola's Collaborative Family Law Clinic. Belinda graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a B.A. in Global Studies and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. Belinda also participated in the Travel Study Program on Global Governance at New York University, School of Law. Belinda commenced her family law career as a DV-Certified Legal Intern for 1736 Family Crisis Center, a nonprofit shelter and outpatient services for domestic violence survivors, runaway and homeless youth, and low income individuals. She also clerked for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Family Violence Division and Major Crimes Division, which gave her the opportunity to address family law issues from a criminal law perspective. Since Belinda's admission to the California bar, she has exclusively practiced family law in the Los Angeles area. Prior to joining the team in 2016, Belinda worked at the family law firm of Joy Stanley Law Corporation, where she assisted with multiple international custody disputes and complex family law matters. Belinda is currently a volunteer attorney on the Pro Bono Panel for Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law. In her free time, Belinda enjoys exploring the new restaurants in Los Angeles, skiing in the wintertime, and spending time with her friends and family.

David P. Shebby

Mr. Shebby's legal career has benefited from a rigorous academic experience. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1993 and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1990. In 2011, he was certified as a Family Law Specialist by State Bar of California Department of Legal Specialization. A rare commodity in the Family Law community, Mr. Shebby is a highly experienced trial lawyer. He has more than two decades of trial experience, and has litigated scores of jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations to verdict. Los Angeles Magazine recognized Mr. Shebby as a Southern California "Super Lawyer" each year since 2010. He has received an AV® Preeminent™ peer ranking (the highest possible rating) with regard to both Family Law and Civil Litigation. Mr. Shebby is a member of the Board of Directors of the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law. The Center provides free family law assistance and legal education to the poor. He served as President of the Center from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, he was awarded the Center's Hall of Fame Award, which "honors a volunteer whose efforts exhibit, by action and deed over an extended period of time, exceptional service and dedication to the Center, its clients and its causes, and who has left a permanent mark in its history."

Jacqueline M.Cruz

Jacqueline M.Cruz is a Certified Public Accountant. She is the in-house accountant for Shebby • Hirashima LLP and owner of Archer Accountancy Group. She specializes in family law forensic accounting and personal wealth management in the Greater Los Angeles area. Prior to forming Archer Accountancy Group, Ms. Cruz worked as a professional staff accountant in the Litigation Services Department at Gursey |Schneider LLP, where she specialized in the area of forensic accounting in family law litigation matters. She performed a wide range of forensic accounting and litigation consulting services, including, but not limited to, business appraisals, determination of gross cash flow available for support, analyses of marital standard of living, tracing of separate and community property funds, and analyses of apportionment issues. In addition, Ms. Cruz developed a method for determining child support in cases with more than two parents; this method is increasingly being taught to and used by California family law attorneys and forensic accountants. Ms. Cruz also previously worked as an account manager in the Business Management Department at Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP, where she specialized in the management of all financial matters for entertainment and investment clients with a net worth of up to $500 million. She performed a wide range of accounting services, including, but not limited to, financial statement preparation and analysis, financial forecasts and projections, budgeting, banking, accounts payable, preparation of various tax forms (e.g. sales/use tax returns, Form 1099/1096), as well as the setup and maintenance of client chart of accounts and general ledgers. Ms. Cruz is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is also a graduate from the University of California Los Angeles.

Judith Rushlow

Judith Rushlow was born in Germany and emigrated to the U.S. at the age of eight. She received her B.A. in German Language and Literature from Occidental College, Los Angeles, and earned her paralegal certificate through the UCLA Extension Paralegal Training Program. She has worked in family law since 2008. Judith lives in Santa Monica with her husband, Michael, a former punk rock musician who is now a graphic artist and talented cook. Outside of work, Judith is on the Advisory Board of the Greater Los Angeles Writers Society (GLAWS), a non-profit educational organization. She volunteers for both GLAWS and its sister organization, West Coast Writers Conferences. In her spare time, she loves to read and is working on several writing projects.

Ryan Mitchell

Ryan graduated from California State University Northridge in 2015, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. While at California State University Northridge, Ryan was a recipient of the D.C. Scholar Award, which afforded her with the opportunity to intern in Washington D.C. at the Department of Commerce, where she published two online articles in the Orlando Business Journal and MBE Magazine. Ryan served as a Judicial Intern at the Van Nuys Courthouse West for Judge Cotton and Judge Brandolino. She also supported Scripps College New Leadership of Southern California, where she introduced and interviewed congresswomen running for office.
