Having been in the pharmaceutical trading industry for 35 years, Sekar Viswanathan, on a visit to the Government Royapettah Hospital Cancer Block, stumbled upon the need for better sanitation to enable quicker recovery of cancer patients susceptible to secondary infections due to low immunity. Born in a middle-class family, the impetus to serve humanity was intrinsic to him, and Viswajayam Foundation was born on 10th July 2013 in memory of his parents, Shri. Viswanathan and Smt. Jayalakshmi... Viswajayam foundation established in 2013 is a Non-Profit Public Charitable Trust registered with 80G exemption. With the core objective to provide a clean and hygienic environment for cancer patients undergoing treatment, the foundation provides Hygiene and sanitation (housekeeping) services at Oncology ward (Cancer Block), Government Royapettah Hospital & Pediatric Heamatology (Cancer Ward) of the Institute of Child Health, Egmore.
