The company was originally founded by Charles McKenna in 1964 as an additional enterprise to the small, family, dairy farm. He supplied fresh eggs to local grocers in Dundalk and to the wholesale market in Dublin... Today, succeeded by his sons, Owen and Dermot, Annaghs Poultry Farm remains a family business. They continue to expand the company in order to cater for the ever-changing market. Unlike many other egg-suppliers, Annaghs Poultry Farm produces, grades, packs, sells and delivers fresh eggs to wholesale and retail outlets. As a result, the company has complete control over the supply chain and so can meet all customer requirements. This also gives continuity of supply as they produce their own eggs.
