Atlas West USA (AWU) is a California based Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) founded in January 2008, and based in Los Angeles, California. AWU is a food commodities export company with a mission to export mostly U.S. commodities such as wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, and sunflower oil. AWU also exports sugar, beans, legumes, chickpeas from Brazil. AWU's first successful export was in March 2008 when it exported wheat to Yemen. In the following months and years, AWU exported wheat, corn and sugar to several African countries as well as countries in Asia and South America. AWU sales topped US$50,000,000 gross in 2008 alone. AWU also sold Durum Wheat to Italy, sunflower oil to Australia and Sugar to Sri Lanka. Currently, AWU has a standing government contract with a major African country to supply U.S. wheat.
