Kolukkumalai, the site of the highest tea estate in South India is a destination worth visiting. The tea leafs here contain a distinctive flavour because of the altitude, weather and soil conditions in the area. Meesapulimalai (so named because when the peak is silhouetted in profile, it bears an uncanny resemblance to a cat with whiskers) is South India's third highest peak and a visit, especially at sunrise or at sunset. Looking down at the panoramic view of surrounding mountains, their peaks at times wrapped in vividly coloured clouds is an experience that guests will take back with them for a lifetime.
