Anne Musuva

Anne Musuva is a health systems specialist with over 13 years experience in both the public and private sectors. At ThinkWell, Anne is the Regional Director and is based Kenya. She has extensive experience in designing, implementing, and leading the scale-up of various health programs. Prior to joining ThinkWell, Anne was the chief operating officer and head of programs at Population Services Kenya. Her role involved oversight and strategic direction of all programs at PS Kenya (including a franchise of over 400 private health facilities - Tunza franchise). Anne also worked in the Ministry of Health as a medical superintendent and district medical officer of health. This experience helped her appreciate the challenges and opportunities in the public sector and with health systems in general. She has a MSc in public health - disease control from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium. She also holds a Bachelors degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She has also participated in various courses on health financing and public health. She serves as a member of the University Council of the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium and chairs the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Committee of the Kenya HealthCare Federation. Universal health coverage (UHC) sums up Anne's vision for health. Anne is passionate (if not frantic!) about ensuring that all people can access quality healthcare without financial hardship.

Caroline Mohan

Since 2019, Caroline has worked as a content creator and editor for nonprofits in the DC area. She's collaborated on everything from annual reports to deep-dive research reports and loves to scavenge exciting details from dense technical writing. Caroline earned a B.A. in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication from James Madison University, where she found her knack for writing for NGOs. As a member of the ThinkWell communications team, she'll work with leadership and the projects team to create long-form and organizational writing that is compelling, informative, and human. "ThinkWell falls at the intersection of people and policy, and I see a bright and equal future in the research that the organization does and the progress it helps create. Writing about issues that often get lost in the mix of international health is just one way I'm excited to contribute."

Dai Hozumi

Dai Hozumi is an experienced global health expert with more than 20 years of success in designing innovative health systems solutions and strategic analysis of complex health system challenges. He also brings expertise in deepening collaborative partnerships with governments, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and for-profit corporations in more than 20 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Dai has an outstanding record of organization growth with innovative private foundations, traditional donor governments, and for-profit corporations. He holds an MD, MPH, and MS in Innovation Management. As ThinkWell's CEO, he is responsible for driving the firm's vision, culture, strategy, and approach. "Global health development is full of unspoken conventions, rules, authorities, and assumptions. Challenging them requires deep knowledge, insights, and courage. Daniella Fanarof

Daniella Fanarof has 23 years of experience in program management and implementation in International Public Health. Over the course of her career, she has worked in increasingly senior roles both in the field and headquarters. She brings a wealth of experience in Program Operations and believes that clear, manageable and efficient systems and processes are critical for high quality program implementation. She has a special interest in enabling technical teams to focus on technical excellence by creating a supportive operational environment and believes that program operations is an exciting and satisfying career path. She brings a Master's in International Development from American University and was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. She lives in Baltimore with her fiancé and spoiled dog, Zula. I joined ThinkWell to use my experience to create something new. I am inspired by the firm's values and desire to push the envelope. Dr. Anooj Pattnaik

Dr. Anooj Pattnaik joined ThinkWell in 2019 with the goal of supporting countries to assess the real-world challenges facing their health systems and codesign pragmatic paths forward. Anooj most recently was leading efforts to evaluate how family planning programs, especially those targeting the youth, were being implemented across Malawi using innovate digital health methods at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to this, Anooj was at the World Bank evaluating how countries were implementing a range of policies and programs related to universal health coverage. Anooj got his start in public health in post-Katrina New Orleans working alongside local and state health departments to evaluate their health systems and design quality improvement projects. Anooj has a DrPH and MPH from Johns Hopkins, specializing in health systems and finance.

Emily Hanks

Emily Hanks is a seasoned human resources practitioner with ten years of experience working across multiple sectors and continents. She's worked on start-ups for multiple global and regional donor funded projects, proposal staffing, and hiring home office staff around the globe. She's spent the last few years improving talent systems and hiring exceptional talent at other INGO's such as PSI, MSH, and IRG. Emily brings a master's in international public administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and is a proud Returned Peace Corps Volunteer - Peru. She now lives in Maryland with her husband, two children, and two kittens. "I joined ThinkWell to work with exceptional talent around the globe who are encouraged to think big and challenge the status quo."

Hasbullah Thabrany

Dr. Thabrany joined ThinkWell as a senior policy advisor in 2018 on the Strategic Purchasing for Primary Healthcare project, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Currently, he is the Chief of Party for the Indonesia Health Financing Activity (HFA), funded by the USAID. He works closely with the Center for Health Financing and Health Security (PPJK) of the Ministry of Health.

Hyeladzira (Adzi) Garnvwa

Hyeladzira Garnvwa is a health specialist with over eight years of experience in promoting quality and equitable access to the delivery of Primary Health Care through developing strategic documents and using evidence to shape national policy. Prior to joining ThinkWell, Hyeladzira worked in Nigeria's National Agency for Primary Health Care implementing results-based financing approaches in health. She has provided technical assistance on the design, implementation and monitoring of guidelines for Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) under the National Health Act (NHAct 2014), which provides a legal framework for the provision of health care services to all Nigerians. Hyeladzira is passionate about finding innovative ways of integrating evidence-based research into the country's health policy, to optimize value for health investments. She is Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity Program at George Washington University, DC.

Joy Walubita

Joy is a Management Accountant with expertise in public financial management in the Health Sector in Zambia. With a career spanning over 20 years working in the government and non-government organizations, she has worked in the health sector's administration in two (2) districts and one (1) Province promoting systems of accountability, implementing policies aimed at achieving organizational goals, coordinating teams, supporting the strengthening of the Ministry of Health's systems for annual planning, performance assessment, provincial and district integrated meetings and the improved use of quality data for performance and program management. She has been instrumental in the identification and resolving of risks pertaining to financial and procurement management systems using prescribed assessment tools in the institutions she worked.
