Clay Forsberg

Dr. Forsberg is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Arizona Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as a staff-member at 6 valley hospitals. Knowledgeable and accomplished in his field, Dr. Forsberg has authored and presented multiple scientific papers in the field of Plastic Surgery to audiences worldwide.

Dr. Anthony Nuara

Dr. Anthony Nuara a board-certified dermatologist and is well trained in advanced medical, surgical, cosmetic and pediatric dermatology. He is a member of the Phoenix Dermatology Society, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatologic Surgery and serves as an organizer for the Phoenix Dermatology Journal Club. His training includes a medical and surgical internship at St. John's Mercy Medical Center and dermatology training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Nuara graduated with honors as the Outstanding Senior in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona. He went on to earn his PhD in molecular microbiology and immunology where he studied the interaction of viruses with the immune system at St. Louis University where he also received his MD.

Dr. Arun Sood

Dr. Arun Sood is a dual Board-Certified Dermatologist, General Pediatrician, and Fellowship Trained Pediatric Dermatologist. Dr. Sood approaches all encounters with the importance of patient centered quality medicine, applying the personal touch to establish long term fruitful relationships. He focuses on coming up with treatment options fitting patients busy lifestyles and minimizing invasive approaches. The importance of family integration is a unique skill Dr. Sood implements during pediatric visits. Dr. Sood graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) and completed a general pediatrics residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship at Phoenix Children's Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center. He then completed his dermatology residency through Kansas City University Graduate Medical Education Consortium here in the valley. During his career, he has received several teaching awards and published several papers. He is happy to accept any and all patients, from newborns to geriatrics. Outside of dermatology, Dr. Sood enjoys spending time with his wife, playing basketball and is happy to discuss the NBA with any and all of his patients.

Dr. Bradley Rasmussen

Dr. Bradley D. Rasmussen is a Board-Certified Dermatologist. For over 23 years, Dr. Bradley Rasmussen has been dedicated to providing expert dermatology care to patients. After graduating from George Washington University, Dr. Rasmussen interned at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, followed by his residency in General Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Named as one of the 3 Best Dermatologists in Salt Lake City, Dr. Rasmussen's years of experience have led to his expertise in general and surgical dermatology. Some of his specialties include treating skin cancer, rosacea, psoriasis, rashes, and acne. Dr. Rasmussen is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), chaired for a major health group as The Department Head of Dermatology in Salt Lake City for 10 years, and served as Secretary of the Phoenix Dermatological Society. Dr. Rasmussen moved back to the Valley, which feels like home to him. He enjoys spending time with his large family, tennis, hiking and the outdoors.

Dr. David Kelly

Dr. David Kelly is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has a comprehensive background and offers a range of expertise in reconstructive, cosmetic, hand and microsurgery. His cutting-edge techniques and drive for excellence have led him to publish and present multiple research articles to national and international audiences. He was a missionary in Slovenia, educated local surgeons in Chisinau, Moldova and helped children with deformities in Guatemala and Kenya. Dr. Kelly received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Utah, where he received the Paul Wintrobe Memorial Award for most outstanding senior medical student. He completed a six-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Wake Forest University and was named best surgical burn ICU resident of the year. He then completed additional training at the world-renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery.

Dr. Gary McCracken

Dr. Gary McCracken is a board-certified dermatologist and founded Center for Dermatology & Plastic Surgery in 2000 and has been ranked as one of Arizona's top dermatologists by Phoenix Magazine fourteen times since 2005. He specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology, as well as skin cancer surgery and is well known for his vast knowledge, personal care and attention to patients. Dr. McCracken received his BS in Biology from Creighton University and an MD from Creighton School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also served as Chief Resident. He also completed his residency to attain board certification in internal medicine as well as a yearlong clinical research fellowship in dermatology at Emory University in Atlanta, one of the most prestigious dermatology departments in the nation.

Dr. James Young

Dr. James Young is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. Dr. Young specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. He is a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon and completed his fellowship through St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, MI. He has a love for the details and aesthetics of dermatology and strives to help patients achieve the healthiest skin possible through passion and commitment. Dr. Young received a BA in Fine Art from Brigham Young University and attended medical school at Touro University Nevada. He then completed his internship at Valley Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV and dermatology residency at Michigan State University/St. Joseph Mercy. Dr. Young has had extensive exposure to general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, including cutaneous surgery rotations in Melbourne, Australia and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Dr. Jason Michaels

Dr. Jason Michaels is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in general dermatology. He will be seeing patients at our Casa Grande and Gilbert locations and is very excited to be back in Arizona! Dr. Michaels completed his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees at the University of Nevada, Reno. From there, he received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine followed by dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona where he served as chief resident. He is a general dermatologist, providing skin cancer screening, mole checks, acne and rash management, and performance of surgical procedures to remove skin cancers. Dr. Michaels has special interest in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin cancer. He has published his research is several major medical journals including the highly prestigious and respected journal Nature Genetics. During his training at the Mayo Clinic he completed additional specialized training in dermoscopy, a tool that helps dermatologists to detect the earliest stages of skin cancer. Above all, Dr. Michaels strives to provide the highest quality care to his patients. Recognizing the critical importance of healthy skin, his practice philosophy is to help his patients achieve the best outcomes and to fully understand and participate in their treatment plan. Outside of the dermatology office, Dr. Michaels enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife Megan and their kitty RC. He enjoys reading, hiking and camping.

Dr. Lara Rosenbaum

Dr. Lara Rosenbaum is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologic oncologist. She specializes in taking care of patients with skin cancer. As a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, she has received training not only in the surgical removal of skin cancers using the Mohs micrographic surgery technique, but also in complex reconstructive techniques and the medical management of skin cancers, both common and rare. Mohs surgery provides the highest possible cure rate for many skin cancers. Dr. Rosenbaum grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with minors in Spanish and Biomedical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), she went on to Yale University School of Medicine. While there, she was awarded a competitive Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship allowing her to engage in an extra year of research evaluating how melanoma spreads throughout the body. In addition to her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Yale, she also graduated with a Master of Health Science (M.H.S). She went on to an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, followed by her dermatology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She was selected to be a Chief Resident for two consecutive years, focusing on medical student education. While in residency, she continued to be interested in cutaneous oncology and developed a passion for the surgical and medical management of skin cancers and pre-cancers. As a result, she sought additional training as a Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologic oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, which is consistently recognized as one of the leading cancer centers in the world. She completed a rigorous one-year fellowship in Mohs surgery and advanced reconstructive techniques. Dr. Lori Asztalos

Dr. Lori Asztalos is a Board-certified Dermatologist, with a specialized interest in pediatric, adult, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Asztalos strives to address all the skin concerns her patients present; from medical, to surgical, to cosmetic. She treats many medical skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema as well as preventative skin cancer screenings and surgical procedures to treat skin cancers and other benign skin growths. Additionally, she performs cosmetic procedures such as filler, Botox, laser, sclerotherapy, chemical peels, TCA cross and subcision. Dr. Asztalos was born in Romania and immigrated to Arizona as a child. She attended the University of Arizona for both undergraduate and medical school. She graduated summa cum laude with a major in physiology and minors in chemistry and French, and was granted membership into Phi Beta Kappa. She was active in medical school as president of the American Medical Student Association and graduated among the top of her class in 2011. Dr. Asztalos completed residency in dermatology at Loyola University in Chicago, and also in Pediatrics at St. Christopher Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She completed two additional years of training as a clinical research fellow at Northwestern University with a focus in pediatric dermatology. She has published research in several top peer-reviewed journals and authored several book chapters. She has also given many oral presentations at the American Academy of Dermatology and World Congress of Dermatology meetings. She began her career as the solo Dermatologist at Aurora Healthcare in Lake Geneva where she served as a clinician and active educator. She worked with medical students and resident physicians and trained them in dermatology. Dr. Asztalos is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Dermatologic Society and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, with a focus on social media. Dr. Asztalos, her husband and 3 children are thrilled to be moving back to their hometown.

Dr. Ryan Stevens

Dr. Ryan Stevens is a dual board-certified dermatologist by both the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology. Dr. Stevens was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology.He continued at the University of Arizona where he achieved academic honors at the top of his class and received his Doctor of Medicine in 2009. He completed his Dermatology Residency at University of Southern California and Los Angeles County Hospital in 2013, where he served as Chief Resident. Following his training, Dr. Stevens became as Assistant Professor at the University Of Southern California Department Of Dermatology. Dr. Stevens then completed a prestigious Dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Colorado, and is an expert in the microscopic diagnosis of skin disorders, including skin cancers and inflammatory skin conditions.

Susan Van Dyke MD, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Center for Dermatology & Plastic Surgery has been a leader in skin resurfacing, injectable fillers and non-invasive cosmetic procedures for over 3 decades. Dr. Van Dyke works closely with the premier companies in cosmetic dermatology.
