TransplantFirst Academy's mission is to encourage those who could benefit from a transplant to seek a better quality of life by securing a preemptive kidney transplant before they require dialysis. Our purpose is to boost patient voice and expand access to preemptive options... We understand your challenges because our founder, Risa Simon, has experienced many of them. You see, Risa is a kidney patient just like you. She was in need of a transplant and hoped to find a living kidney donor. She prayed she would be able to avoid the need for dialysis, just like many of you. She was terrified by this assignment, but as luck would have it, she found the courage to re-purpose her fear into unstoppable momentum by using her voice to secure a better and longer life.
