Sustainable Biomass Solutions (SBS) Ghana Ltd is a Free Zone Enterprise, specialising in processing waste wood from the major sawmills of the region into solid fuels that are exported to Northern Europe. SBS is based in the city of Kumasi, Ghana and is a leading sustainable biomass company in West Africa... We manufacture and export a premium standard of kindling wood, with a high degree of finish, whilst being environmentally considerate in using various types of waste wood and biomass that are otherwise generally thrown away or burnt in Ghana... This means that, where possible, we make the finished product in the region where the waste is found, rather than doing it in factories overseas. This approach enables us to have a closer relationship with the sawmills who process the timber, so that we can work together to improve quality and lessen our impact on the environment, whilst maximising value of the product in country.
