Alexis Bassett

Alexis is originally from Michigan but moved to Indiana as a youngster. Living in Alexandria with her husband Chris and their 3 children, she enjoys gardening and spending time outside with the many critters on their farm. Horses, donkeys, goats, emus, turkeys, and chickens, as well as 2 dogs and 5 cats all call Bassett Family Farm home! After studying at Purdue University, Alexis joined the staff at AAH in 2002 and became a licensed RVT in 2012, received a BA in Business Management in 2020, and is Fear Free Elite Certified. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering within our community and serves as a co-chair member of the Indiana Veterinary Technician Association.

Alyssa Robert

Alyssa grew up in San Diego,CA but moved to Indiana in 2015. She currently lives in Gas City with her fiancé Cory, and their 3 dogs: Jayda, Duncan and Oliver and their cat Lynx. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and binge watching shows on Netflix. She is currently attending the veterinary technician program at IBC and set to graduate in the spring of 2024.

Beth Holloway

Beth grew up and lives in Fairmount, Indiana with her cat Zorro. Before coming to AAH, she worked in the Computer Science and Systems Department at Taylor University and retired from there after 25 years. She has three daughters and a son that lives nearby and seven grandchildren- six grandsons (including triplet boys) and one sassy granddaughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking and traveling the world.

Brittany Coe

Brittany grew up in Pendleton, and currently resides in Anderson. She was a 9 year 4H member in Madison County, active mostly in Dog Projects. She graduated from Harrison College Schools of Veterinary Technology in 2012 and then spent several years working in emergency veterinary clinics. She joined the AAH team in 2019 and has a special interest in animal behavior and training. She completed her Certified Dog Trainer certification course through the Karen Pryor Academy in the Spring of 2022 and is Fear Free Elite Certified. Brittany currently provides training services at the clinic in addition to her technician skills. Brittany married her husband Lee in April 2017 and shares their home with 5 dogs (Revv, Rico, Dexter, Kelcie, & Phlox), 2 bunnies, and several chickens. In her free time, Brittany enjoys competing in dog sports (Obedience, Rally, and Agility), hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing!

Cheyenne York

Cheyenne grew up in Muncie, IN and currently attends Ball State University to obtain her Master's degree in Biology. Cheyenne went to Purdue Northwest for her first two years as an undergraduate and transferred to Ball State to graduate with her Bachelor's degree in Biology & Zoology. Cheyenne currently resides in Muncie with her fiancé and her two dogs - a whippet named Zayn, and a pit bull named Ellie Mae. At a very young age, Cheyenne always found an interest in animals and always wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she could remember. She is excited to have the opportunity to work at Alexandria Animal Hospital as she follows her dream of becoming a veterinarian

Dr. Clint Peacock

Dr. Clint Peacock grew up locally in Fairmount, Indiana and obtained a BS in Animal Sciences in 2018 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2022, both from Purdue University. Growing up on a grain farm, Dr. Peacock was heavily involved in 4-H from a young age. This included a particular interest in showing pigs, having shown them competitively throughout Indiana and the Midwest and, during undergrad, co-owning a 20-sow showpig operation. While at Purdue University, Dr. Peacock was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Agricultural Fraternity and served on a variety of other committees and clubs, including the Animal Sciences Ambassadors, the Purdue Agricultural Council, the Indiana Junior Swine Circuit- Senior Board of Directors, and, most recently, he was the President of the Purdue Chapter of the Student American Veterinary Medical Association. During his summer breaks of college, Dr. Peacock worked as a veterinary assistant here at Alexandria Animal Hospital. Currently, Dr. Peacock lives in Fishers, Indiana with his fiancé, Jenna, and their two cats, Ophelia and Oliver. In their free time, they enjoy traveling and hiking, and are working to visit all of the US National Parks sometime soon, having visited 8 of the 63 so far!

Dr. Megan Phelps

Dr. Megan Phelps grew up locally in Farmland, Indiana and attended Purdue University for both her undergraduate and veterinary degree's. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Phelps moved to Virginia and practiced medicine there for three years before returning to Indiana in the summer of 2005 to work at Alexandria Animal Hospital. Currently, Dr. Phelps lives with her cat Newton and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Fennik. As far as her human family is concerned, Dr. Phelps is the proud aunt of Ethan and Sophia Mortonson.

Hillary Leisure

Hillary was born and raised in Yorktown, Indiana and lives in Tipton with her husband, Nick and their 3 kids (Braxton, Blakeleigh and Mason). She has been in the veterinary field for 2 years and loves animals of all kinds. Her animals include 3 dogs (Baileigh, Kali and River), parakeets and many, many chickens and ducks. Outside of work, she enjoys hunting, competitive archery and crafting.

Jean Rice

Jean loves her job and is great with our patients! She says that getting to take care of pets is a dream come true for her and can't imagine a better position to have. At home she spends a lot of time outside with her dogs- Jill, Izzy and Maximus and her cat named Punk. She loves to garden, harvest, and canning everything. She enjoys having family dinners and cookouts. After 37 years of marriage, her husband's family is her family.

Jessica Jarrett

Jessica grew up in Middletown, Indiana and currently lives in Muncie with her husband John. She graduated from International Business College in 2007 and has special interests in veterinary surgery and internal medicine. She currently has two cats, Simon and Charlie and loves music, photography, antiquing, and spending time with family.

Julie Brashears

Julie grew up in Frankfort, Indiana and moved to Anderson in 2003. She resides with dog Tallee a pitbull mix and 6 cats- Pennee, Poppee, Pearl, Satch"Mo", Roo, and Moonepie. She started in human medicine, but quickly realized her passion was animals and has now worked in the veterinary field for 15 plus years. Special interests include cat behavior, reading, and international travel with her daughter Sheradan.

Karla Hunt

Karla was raised in Fishers, Indiana, and moved to the rural Elwood/Frankton area in 1995. She shares her mini-farm home with her husband of 33 years, Dan, and 4--four-legged kids (subject to change at any time!) She has 2 sons, 1 daughter, and 2 precious granddaughters. Her favorite time is spent with her family (both 2 and 4 legged) and at church where she helps with the youth and other special activities. In her spare time, she loves drawing, painting, crafts, gardening, and taking care of animals. After spending the last 17 years in education, she is finally living her dream of learning veterinary care and getting to take care of animals for a living.

Lacie Petty

Lacie grew up in northern Indiana in the small town of Rome City where she was homeschooled through high school with her four siblings. She has always had cats growing up and her love for animals increased at her first veterinary job at Sylvan Lake Animal Clinic in 2003 as a kennel worker, then progressed to a veterinary assistant for the last 19 years. Lacie lives in Middletown with her husband Nick, a cattle dog Wynona, two cats Randy and Polly, as well as their two horses Cash and Grace. Outside of work, Lacie enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, working outside, horseback riding and camping.

Lilly Thomas

Lilly has grown up here in Alexandria and currently attends Alexandria Monroe High School. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to work at the animal hospital as she follows her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She hopes to attend Purdue University to study veterinary science after graduating in 2023. Lilly is very involved in 4-H and school athletics. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family and walking her black labs, Eli and Bella.

Morgan Jarvis

Morgan grew up and lives in Gaston, Indiana with her husband Andrew. She currently has four dogs (Abby, Wayne, Nugget and Soda Pop), three cats (Tofu, Frizzle and Derp) and five horses (Tru, Star, Fancy, Buddy and Moonshine). In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and attending horse shows on the weekends.

Regan Randol

Regan grew up and lives in Anderson, Indiana. She resides with her boyfriend of 9 years and their dog named Boba. She found her passion for animals when she was young when she would help her grandmother foster and care for several dogs. A dream she can't wait to continue by adding more into her family when they relocate to a larger home. Outside of work, Regan enjoys wood burning, painting and crafts.

Tammy Chastain

Dr. Tamara (Tammy) Chastain earned her veterinary degree in 2003 from Purdue University. She spent her first five years of practice in Sheridan, Indiana focusing on equine and small animal medicine. She joined Alexandria Animal Hospital in 2008. In early 2016, she had the opportunity to fulfill a long-time dream of becoming a practice owner and purchased Alexandria Animal Hospital from Dr. Larry Owen. Tammy grew up in Sullivan, Indiana and now lives in the Summitville area with her husband, and their three sons. Boxer (Callie), cats (Puddin', Peanut Butter, Snickers, and Oreo), and Arabian horses (Chip and Tilly) round out their family. Outside of work, Dr. Chastain keeps busy supporting her boys in their various activities and helping her husband with the family farm. She is active in her church, and when she is lucky enough to find free time, she enjoys following Purdue basketball, mountain bike riding, spoiling her horses, hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
