Anyone with a safe traditional carriage is welcome to take part in our competitions. It is open to all equines from small pones to large teams of horses. You are only limited by your own imagination! We have a number of categories to accommodate the variety of equines taking part including small ponies and donkeys, ponies, horses, singles pairs, tandems and multiples.Depending on the size of equine and combination of turnout, each category will only differ in time allowance on the routier... AIAT GB is a governing body for the United Kingdom the premier traditional carriage driving competition ( a CIAT) conducted under the rules of the AIAT (Association International d'Attelage de Tradition) The competition is designed to promote the use of pre-1945 design traditional style carriages, both private and trade, and to reflect the skills and heritage of the driving of harness horses and ponies.
