After qualifying in 1992 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital I moved to London and trained in burns and plastics nursing at Charing Cross Hospital. In 1997 I moved to The Royal Marsden hospital and did my degree in cancer nursing. I then moved to Kent in 2003 and worked as a breast care nurse until starting a family in 2009. I now run the East Kent family history service assessing womens' breast cancer risk and liaising with Guy's genetics service to arrange BRCA gene fault testing. I now co-host the Canterbury BRCA Kent meetings. I love my job! I live near Canterbury with my husband, 2 girls and my cat Monty.
