JIN LAB - Key Persons
Dr. Jin is a Professor in the Division of Biostatistics, Institute for Health Equity (IHE), Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). He is also a member of MCW Cancer Center, a member of Mellowes Center for Genome Science and Precision Medicine. He holds Linda T. and John A. Mellowes Endowed Chair of Bioinformatics and Data Analytics.
Dr. Jin received his M.Sc degree in the computer science with specialized in bioinformatics from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada in 2003, and the Ph.D degree in biological chemistry from Queen's University, Kingston, ON, Canada in 2001.
He was awarded a prestigious and highly competitive "Up-on-the-Roof" Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Human Genetics Program at OSU before moving to a research scientist position in the Genome Center UC Davis from 2005-2007. He has an impressive level of productivity with more than 127 peer-reviewed articles in some of the most prestigious and highly cited journals in genome, cancer and molecular biological research and book chapters. He is involved in organizing numerous conferences and meetings and currently an Editorial Member for BMC Genomics and Genes, respectively.
