Bio
Alex Stalvey is a managing partner of Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, LLC. He is a former prosecutor, having served as an Assistant Solicitor in Spartanburg and Greenville counties. He began his career with the firm in 2008. His practice areas include criminal defense, divorce and personal injury litigation. He has represented clients in a range of complex criminal matters, including murder, criminal sexual conduct and Title IX sexual misconduct cases on university campuses. In 2014, Alex was certified in the area of criminal trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.
Alex previously served on the Board of Governors for the South Carolina Association for Justice and was a former board member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is member of the Judicial Conference of the Fourth Circuit, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Federal Bar Association.
Mr. Bannister served as an assistant U.S. Attorney from 1970-1974. With over 35 years of experience in the courtroom, Mr. Bannister provides counsel and advice in the areas of Criminal Law and Family Law. Bruce Wyche Bannister is a partner of Bannister, Wyatt, & Stalvey, LLC and a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives.
Mr. Bannister graduated from Davidson College in 1995 and went on to earn his law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1998.
Mr. Bannister focuses on Family Law, Eminent Domain, and Real Estate Law. He has tried cases involving Personal Injury, Premises Liability, Eminent Domain, Education Law, Residential Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Government, Zoning, Planning, and Land Use.
Admitted to the practice of law in South Carolina in 1998, Mr. Bannister was elected as the SC House District 24 Representative in 2005. He currently serves as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. Mr. Bannister was elected by his peers to serve as the Majority leader for the SC House Republican Caucus from 2012-2016. He also serves as the Chairman of the South Carolina Bar Lawyer Legislator task force.
Mr. Bannister is a lifelong resident of Greenville, where he serves as a member of the Wig and Robe, Greenville County Young Lawyers, South Carolina Bar, and the Better Business Bureau. He is a LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rated lawyer, and has also taught as an adjunct professor at Greenville Technical College. He also holds previous experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Larry R. Patterson, Circuit Court Judge.

Elizabeth McCool focuses her practice on her true passion of family law and helping others. Divorce and child custody actions are trying, emotional experiences and her goal is to help each client through this difficult time of life. Mrs. McCool handles all types of domestic actions ranging from divorce, custody, visitation, termination of parental rights, step-parent adoptions, and grandparent visitation.
Mrs. McCool graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She continued her education receiving an MBA from Gardner Webb University and law degree from the University of South Carolina. During her time at USC, she served as Production Editor of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal and was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
Active in professional and community organizations, she served as co-coordinator of the SC Bar's Upstate Cinderella Project from 2020-2022 and is a member of the SC Bar Publications Committee.
A native of Greer, South Carolina, Mrs. McCool enjoys spending her free time with her husband on the golf course, sampling local cuisine, reading, or with her dog Howard.

Jack McDonald ‘s practice is primarily focused on real estate transactions. He represents buyers, sellers and lenders in residential and commercial transactions. He also represents creditors in foreclosures and collection actions and handles probate and estate matters. Jack graduated from Clemson University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. In 2000, he received his Law Degree from The University of South Carolina and was admitted to the practice of law in South Carolina. Upon graduation, Jack served as law clerk for the Honorable Wyatt T. Saunders, Jr., Judge for the Eighth Judicial Circuit. A managing partner of Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, James W. Bannister graduated from the University of South Carolina honors program in 1992 as a Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995, after which he served for two years as clerk to US Federal Judge Henry M. Herlong. Since then, he has been with Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey.
Mr. Bannister is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Federal Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, South Carolina Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Bannister has been honored among Greenville's Legal Elite for criminal defense each year the award has been offered.
In 2007, Mr. Bannister earned his Criminal Trial Advocacy Certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has tried numerous felony cases in both Federal and State Courts, and holds notable experience in cases involving Drugs and Narcotics, RICO, Internet Crimes, White Collar Crime, Security Fraud, Tax Evasion, Murder, Criminal Sexual Conduct, Criminal Domestic Violence, and DUI.

A founding partner of Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey, John F. Wyatt has practiced law at Bannister, Wyatt & Stalvey since its inception. Mr. Wyatt graduated from The Citadel in 1967 and received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1970. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1970 and the U.S. Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit in 1974.
Mr. Wyatt served as a captain in the U.S. Army from 1967-1975. He was born in Greenville in 1944 and has received a listing in Best Lawyers in America for 15+ years (1999-present). He has been listed in "Super Lawyers" since 2010, and he was also listed in Best Lawyers in America, Property/Real Estate in 2004.

Ryan W. Pasquini of Bannister Wyatt & Stalvey is an attorney in Greenville, SC and is licensed to practice in South Carolina and North Carolina. He practices in the area of general civil litigation and advises clients on data privacy and information security laws and regulations, including compliance with HIPAA/HITECH and Gramm-Leach-Bliley. He has represented clients from general civil litigation matters to personal injuries.
Mr. Pasquini graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics. Mr. Pasquini earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During his time as a student, Mr. Pasquini was on Dean's List multiple semesters, earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in International Trade Law, and served as a Research Assistant to Intellectual Property Professor Ned Snow.
Mr. Pasquini is an active member of the South Carolina Bar. He is a member of the South Carolina Lawyers Helping Lawyers Commission and assisted the program in developing, designing, and implementing a secure database for historical and future client data. He continues to assist the South Carolina Bar in developing a strategic plan to increase services utilization in rural areas of South Carolina. Stephanie Hoffman works with her clients on a variety of family law matters such as: divorce, custody, visitation, and termination of parental rights. Ms. Hoffman strives to help clients effectively and efficiently navigate through some of the most emotional and trying times in their lives. She is a member of both the South Carolina Bar and North Carolina Bar Association.
Ms. Hoffman graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. She then went on to obtain her law degree from the Charleston School of Law where she was a member of the Student Federal Bar Association and the Women in Law Society. While there, she was also recognized for completing over 100 hours of pro bono work.
Stephanie is very dedicated to her communities and enjoys volunteering in her spare time. She is a graduate of Leadership Clemson Class of 2023. Ms. Hoffman also serves as a board member of the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce.
A Greenville native, now living in Central, SC. Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and cheering on the Tigers!
