Atul K. Gupta

Atul K. Gupta is vice president of IoT products at Syntiant Corp. He is expert in mixed signal microchip and system design with over 12 years of leadership roles. Prior to joining Syntiant, he was vice president of engineering at High Performance Analog (HPA) division of MACOM. His role was not only limited to lead the design but also lab validation, test and characterization and customer support through firmware and software support. Mr. Gupta was VP of engineering and CTO of HPA division of Mindspeed before it got acquired by MACOM. Prior to joining Mindspeed, he was director of technical marketing at Inphi and director of analog design at Inphi and Gennum Corporation. His leadership and contribution in video and broadcast market led to technical Emmy award for MACOM in 2016 and Gennum in 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Technology from IIT, Kanpur, India and master's degree from University of Calgary, Canada. He has over 20 granted US and European patents. Poupak Khodabandeh is Syntiant Corp.'s vice president of product. She is an experienced global leader, fluent in semiconductor and electronics industries, who's excelled at leading major strategic SBU's and corporate initiatives. As leader of a 250M global semiconductor materials business for Henkel Corporation, she converted decline to double-digit growth in 3 years. She later steered critical transformation initiatives across their 10B adhesives enterprise. Prior to Henkel, she honed her skills at Mindspeed (acquired by MACOM) and Gennum Corporation (acquired by Semtech) in profitably growing key business lines. Poupak holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, with an early career experience as an IC design engineer. She has lived in three continents and four countries and is fluent in both Farsi and English.

Stephen Bailey, Ph.D. is chief technology officer at Syntiant Corp. His influence and expertise are global in scope, having served as Broadcom Switch's chief technologist since 2006. Dr. Bailey's achievements include creating Broadcom's most advanced switching platform, driving 6x business growth and creating a China solution team to transform component- to platform-level engagement. Dr. Bailey was CTO of Sandburst, acquired by Broadcom in 2006, Chief Scientist at OverX and Genroco, and hardware and software engineer working on storage, network and computing at Digital Equipment Corporation. He earned his BS EE from Carnegie Mellon, and Ph.D. CS from the University of Chicago. Pieter Vorenkamp is chief operating officer at Syntiant Corp. He brings decades of operations and engineering experience to the company, with a career that includes nearly 20 years of leadership roles at Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO). Most recently, Mr. Vorenkamp was senior vice president and general manager of the IP Group at Cadence Design Systems (NASDAQ: CDNS). While at Broadcom, Mr. Vorenkamp was senior vice president of operations engineering where his responsibilities spanned world-wide manufacturing technology and support of all hardware programs from inception through engineering samples into high-volume production. Prior to his operations role, Mr. Vorenkamp was VP & chief architect-central engineering developing core IP for use throughout Broadcom. Mr. Vorenkamp received the equivalent of a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Twente in The Netherlands. He is the named inventor of more than 125-issued U.

Kurt Busch - CEO

Kurt Busch is the chief executive officer of Syntiant Corp. He has extensive experience in product development, having driven the successful launch of new products, ranging from SaaS and semiconductors for telecom and broadcast video to consumer electronics and data center systems. Prior to Syntiant, he was president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors at Lantronix (NASDAQ: LTRX), a global provider of secure data access and management solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) and information technology (IT). He also served as a senior vice president and general manager of high performance analog business unit at Mindspeed Technologies, acquired by MACOM. Prior responsibilities include technical sales and marketing roles at Analog Devices, Intel, Digital Equipment Corporation and two start-ups. Mr. Busch is an engineering hall of fame inductee of the University of California at Irvine, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and biological science. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.

Mallik P. Moturi

Mallik P. Moturi is chief business officer at Syntiant Corp. He has more than two decades of semiconductor industry experience, working with diverse applications, such as neural network processors, digital signal processing, multimedia, networking, systems on chips and FPGAs. Mr. Moturi has held senior roles, such as vice president, general manager and managing director at various companies, including Qualcomm, Xilinx, Conexant, Hughes/DirecTV and Bell Labs. Mr. Moturi has also been instrumental in the development and introduction of many industry innovations, including the first multi-core DSPs, the first HDTV chipset, and the first commercial implementation of low-density parity-check codes for satellite broadcasting, neural network processing in mobile devices, and high-performance FPGA-based computing solutions. Mr. Moturi received a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Syracuse University, and pursued his Ph.D. in electrical and communications engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Syntiant, Paul worked with several early-stage technology companies in a chief financial officer capacity. His previous experience also includes various roles in finance and accounting with Conexant Systems (acquired by Synaptics), Hyperion Solutions (acquired by Oracle) and Marvell Technology Group. Paul began his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Silicon Valley and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Europe, working with both public and private technology companies. Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and holds an active CPA license in the State of California. Dave Garrett, Ph.D. is Syntiant Corp.'s senior vice president of engineering. He is a technical expert in semiconductor design, focusing on digital signal processing, VLSI architecture, and chip design flows. Prior to Syntiant, he held the role of associate technical director at the Broadcom office of the CTO and is recognized as a Distinguished Engineer within the company. He was responsible for the transmit beamforming (TxBF) architectures in both the client and router side of Broadcom's 802.11ac/ax chipsets, shipping in more than a billion devices. He is an IEEE Fellow, holds 95 granted US patents, and is the previous General Chair of the International Symposium on Low Power Electronics and Design

Jeremy Holleman, Ph.D. is the chief scientist of Syntiant Corp. He is an expert on ultra-low power integrated circuits and directs the Integrated Silicon Systems Laboratory at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, where he is an associate professor. Dr. Holleman received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington where he studied micro-power integrated circuits for neural interfaces. Previously, Dr. Holleman was an analog design engineer at National Semiconductor where he designed and implemented a DAC to be used in precision amplifiers. He also served as a software systems engineer for Data I/O Corporation. Dr. Holleman has served as the Session Chair for the IEEE Midwest and International Symposiums on Circuits and Systems. He is also the co-author of the book Ultra Low-Power Integrated Circuit Design for Wireless Neural Interfaces, in addition to co-authoring articles on ultra-low power and analog deep machine learning published in IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, Express Briefs and IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits. Most recently, Dr. Holleman directed the "Near-Zero Integrated Analog Classifier" project as a result of a grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Robert Saman is vice president and general counsel of Syntiant Corp. He brings to the company over 25 years of legal, corporate and international experience at top-tier global law firms and public, pre-IPO and private technology companies, including venture-backed enterprises. Mr. Saman has extensive experience in corporate and board governance; business development and international expansion; compliance and risk management; intellectual property; public/private M&A; securities laws; and equity and debt venture financings. Mr. Saman also serves as a fractional general counsel of Levyx Inc., a high-performance, ultra-low latency big data processing software company. Previously, he served as the chief legal officer and secretary of sTec, a Nasdaq-listed company and pioneer of enterprise SSDs that was acquired by Western Digital in 2013. Prior to sTec, he held senior leadership roles within the legal departments of Gateway computers and Eclipsys Corporation, a publicly-traded provider of healthcare information technology solutions. Mr. Saman began his legal career at a top Silicon Valley law firm (Cooley). Prior to law school, he had a complementary seven-year business career that included consultancy/auditing at Ernst & Young.
