Arthur Lucas

Arthur is another of our mentors, he supports and supervises the students of his group throughout their year, and lives at the residence with the players.

Bryn Halliwell

Bryn comes to the Academy with a vast amount of experience between to the two posts. The Englishman went through the youth system at Wimbledon before making his way north of the border to sign for Clyde FC. Bryn made over 150 appearances for the Cumbernauld side whilst making himself a fans favourite at Broadwood. Very professional and competent, his experience combined with his strong personality gives an original way of working. Bryn is the Head GK Coach for the Edusport Academy and Caledonian Braves, the professional club of Edusport Academy.

Clément Boudon

After obtaining a BTS Management in Commercial Units, Clément went to a business school specializing in sports management to combine his passion for sport and studies in commerce. Clément is also an avid football player, and playing for over 10 years. Clément is one of our recruiters and customer relations, he mainly focuses on our players wishing to participate in our summer course. He will therefore be your privileged liaison for the discovery course.

Cory McCabe

Cory is our Head Coach of the Edusport Basketball Programme. He is an experienced coach who has been coaching for over 10 years at various levels. He graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a Bsc Sports Coaching Degree and is Head Coach of Scottish National League Side Stirling Knights. Cory also has national coach experience working being involved in various age groups as a Assistant Coach for Scotland in the men and woman game.

Gary Strain

Gary is an experienced rugby coach at both club and international level. His playing days had him represent clubs like Newcastle Falcons and the Glasgow Warriors. He also had a spell at RC Massy Essonne in France during his career. Gary is now a highly regarded coach and educator certified with World Rugby and Scottish Rugby Union, working with the Scottish U17 National Team as well as with the BT Glasgow Warriors Academy. He also works with Scotland Woman's team and the Scotland Mens U18s as a scum coach. As a Coach he is the holder of the UKCC Level 3 coaching diploma as well as the UKCC Level 2 Strength and Conditioning.

Ines Welter

Jean-Guy Lucas

Jean-Guy is a former Edusport Academy student (year group 2016-2017). After signing a contract with a club in our league the year following his program at the academy, Jean-Guy returned to play in France, then joined our Senior team again since the 2018-2019 season. In addition to being one of the players on our first team, with his personal experience, Jean-Guy is one of the academy's "mentors", in order to support and advise the students of his group throughout their year.

Julie Anastasie

After a Masters in Pharmacology and professional beginnings in the basic sciences, Julie specialized in project management and coordination. With a heart to help young people in their professional career and their personal development, Julie joined the Edusport Academy in 2017. Responsible for administration and recruiting future students from Paris, she is also in charge of communication and coordination between the various staffs in France and Scotland. Julie will therefore be one of your contacts when you register for the academy, as well as during your year in Glasgow.

Julien Bolard

Julien is a graduate from the 2018-2019 group, and joined the staff of the academy as "Mentor" this season, allowing him to extend his experience in Scotland, and to be able to also support, advise, and share his past experience of student with the players of his group.

Marius Odin

Marius is a member of our media team. After studying business, Marius went to live an experience abroad in Norway, after which he changed his orientation and took a BTS in editing.

Nic Humphries

Nicolas Bouchand

Nicolas obtained a STAPS Sports Management license and is preparing a Master in Sport Business. Nicolas is also a handball player, playing for 10 years up to National level 2, allowing him to have an insight into the professional sports world. At the Edusport Academy, he is in charge of customer relations. He will therefore be one of your contacts from your registration on our site, until your arrival in Scotland, and will be there to support you throughout your efforts.

Nils Mérique

After 20 years in the East of France, Nils studied cinema and obtained his diploma as an editor at ESEC Paris. Nils began by filming music events before working for Minutebuzz, a famous humorous web content company. He then joined the academy in 2020, to produce video content and allow you to follow the news of the academy.

Noémie Desalle

Noémie is studying at the BSB business school in Dijon. She joined the team in January as part of her gap year. She is now based in Paris, as a recruitment and customer relations officer. Her role is to support players and their families throughout their recruitment and enrollment at the Academy. Noémie will be one of your liaison and will therefore answer all your questions concerning the program, the Academy and the registration procedure.

Pablo Bodin

Pablo is a member of our media team. Pablo graduated from EICAR school, and started his own business. He is used to working in a team as well as directing filming.

Richie Salveta

Richie is known for his work with young people having spent a lot of time with the youth at Dumbarton FC. He helped the BSC Glasgow to reach 2nd place in the Lowland League during the 2018/19 season as assistant manager. After taking a break at the start of this season, Richie joined as a coach for Edusport Academy in November last year and is also the assistant Manager for Caledonian Braves.

Ricky Waddell

Once Ricky retired from playing at the early age of 31 years old, he was quickly making an impact on the sidelines. He worked as a development coach at clubs like Queens Park, Motherwell, St Mirren and Rangers. Ricky holds the prestigious UEFA Pro License coaching qualification. Ricky has been part of Edusport Academy since the beginning and has only not been involved in one year of the academy. He started out as a coach before working his way up to now being head coach of the full Academy. Ricky is also coach of Caledonian Braves FC and is highly respected by his peers and the Scottish FA.

Ross Anderson

Ross is a full qualified Sport therapist, he has a key role in the staff of the Edusport Academy. Ross has a lot of experience, the majority of this coming from working for many years at Scottish Championship club, Partick Thistle FC. Ross' has a great communication with our students and is always on hand to offer expert advice and treatment to those who need it. His main function is to ensure that our players are well and stay in the best physical condition possible.

Ross Mathison

Ross is another of our Basketball coaches this year. During his playing career he played abroad in Italy as well as the prestigious NCAA in America. Whilst a coach at Edusport he is also working with City of Glasgow College as a Sports Coaching Lecturer. He also gained a MSc degree in Sports Coaching as well as a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Ross is the U18s Head Coach at the Glasgow Rocks and previously worked with Scottish U18s National team squad as an Assistant Coach.

Ross Urquhart

Ross is our newest physio who works with all sports involved within the academy. He qualified as a Sport Therapist in 2018 when he graduated from City of Glasgow College whilst also gaining an outstanding academic achievement award for finishing top of his class. Ross' main role is to ensure the fitness and health of our students, he holds weekly physio clinics where our students can book appointments for any issues or concerns, and is present at some rugby trainings.

Roy Campbell

Roy is a member of our media team, roles including match day filming, social media, interviews and general media duties. He graduated from City of Glasgow College in 2018 studying Television. During this year her volunteered at Scottish Premiership side St Mirren FC as a camera operator for their home fixtures. Following this he work for companies such as QTV Sports and Great Big Events, last season he worked with Sports Media GB as a Sports Vision Operator for all Motherwell FC Home games. He was also a Sports Writer Intern for 90min.com. Roy works for both the Academy and Caledonian Braves FC.

Simon Mensing

Simon is the Head coach of the U23, our reserve team which plays in the South of Scotland League, the 6th division of the Scottish Leagues. Simon holds a UEFA A license. He has a great experience as a professional player because he played in England, Scotland, and the USA. Simon moved to England in the late 1990s playing at Wimbledon FC. He then joined Clyde FC, who then played in the Scottish Championship. Simon has also had great success at Hamilton Academical and St Johnstone FC. In addition to his coaching role at the Edusport Academy, Simon also coaches youth football at the Thistle Weir Youth Academy.

Vincent Lavandier - CTO

Vincent Lavandier is the Head Coach of Glasgow Rocks in BBL 1st Division and the technical adviser of the Academy. A very experienced coach with 29 years of professional experience. He has been the assistant coach for many years with excellent French coaches like Greg Beugnot or Jacques Monclar. He has worked as a Head coach for more than 15 years in France and Scotland where he is recognised for his ability to develop projects and train young players. His career has allowed him to be responsible for a training centre such as Paris Basket, Elan Chalon, to be Head Coach in ProB, LFB and N1. His results also earned him being awarded Coach of the year on three occasions during his career. He holds a Professional Trainer Diploma in basketball, a Masters 2 in Marketing and Management of Professional Sport and a License level certification in communication and team management.
