The Sandstone Ridge Trust is a company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 17 June 2011 (Company Number 7673603), and which was granted charitable status on 28 October 2011 (Charity Number 1144470)... In June 2021 we were shortlisted for AONB designation. We are currently involved in this very lengthy and rigorous designation process. Natural England is working closely with us and other major stakeholders. An area of natural beauty with significance at the national level has now been identified and we look forward to the Desirability Assessment stage whereby it will be determined whether designation of a new National Landscape (AONB) is the best course of action for this landscape.
