Andrew Holmes

Job Titles:
  • Works Delivery Manager Environmental
Andrew Holmes Works delivery manager Environmental Andy has over 25 years' experience in his field with 20 years in the rail industry. Andy also holds IOSH, CSCS, Relevant NPTC and a number of safety critical competencies. Andy manages all vegetation maintenance work, both within the rail sector and other ‘high street' environments. Chris Duke

Job Titles:
  • Isolations Planner
Chris has 25+ years' experience in the rail industry. He started his railway career working for various contractors within the Permanent Way and OHL departments. Chris holds a range of safety critical competencies, is an active Nominated Person and currently plans the OHL isolations for RTG.

Dan James

Job Titles:
  • SWP & Possessions Planner
Dan started back in 2016, initially as a full-time COSS and then as a Safe System of Work Planner. His current role is creating SSOW packs and their distribution. Dan also holds Safety Critical competencies including OLE Authorised Person (AP).

Dave Murrell

Job Titles:
  • Director
Dave started his Rail career in 1996 as a trainee Lineman within British Rail's OHL department. Being keen to learn he thrived in this environment. He worked hard to progress from Trainee to Supervisor /Manager within other organisations. Dave also concentrated on the training aspect of the Electrification sector and is fully qualified to carry out training/assessments. Dave's Directorship within RTG started in 2009 after working for the company for 3 years. Dave concentrates fully on the company's steady growth and delivering a service that complements colleagues and clients alike

Gary Naessens - COO

Job Titles:
  • Operations Director
Gary has over 20+ years' experience in the rail industry, mainly in the Overhead line sector. He currently oversees all rail operations within RTG and is the main client liaison contact. Gary holds a number of track competencies, is a licensed SSOW planner and an active Nominated Person.

Heather Kirby

Job Titles:
  • Accounts Payable
Heather has worked in accounts for in excess of 30years. She joined RTG in 2008 as an accounts assistant, progressing upto her current role as to accounts supervisor. Heather is responsible for all accounts payable and payroll functions.

Lee Ruston

Job Titles:
  • Isolation Manager
Lee has over 20+ years' experience in the rail industry, both in safety critical roles and on the Permanent Way (P-Way). Lee also has 3 years' experience in Metronet SSL/BCV/LUL and is currently the Isolations Manager for RTG.

Lucy Disley

Job Titles:
  • Sentinel Co - Ordinator
Lucy started working for RTG in 2018 as a receptionist/admin assistant but has since developed her skills and knowledge and was promoted in 2021 to become our HR/Compliance Coordinator. She has also taken on the role as Lead Sentinel Coordinator and now manages our sponsoring and compliance in relation to Sentinel requirements.

Mark Livings

Job Titles:
  • SHEQ Advisor
Mark joined RTG in 2015 as our HSQE Advisor to help the company's continual development within the rail industry. He started his rail career in 2004 with NwR in their Pway gangs and then progressed into compliance and HSQE roles within Principal Contractors.

Mollie Driver

Job Titles:
  • Safety Critical Resource Co - Ordinator
Mollie Driver Safety Critical Resource co-ordinator Mollie has 5+ years' experience in the rail industry, initially in an administrative role to the isolations department, now combining this with managing the safety critical labour supply division E / mollie.driver@rtggroup.co.uk

Rachel Fage

Job Titles:
  • Accounts Receivable
Rachel previously spent over 10 years in banking, working her way up to Bank Manager. Following a career break, in which time she had 2 children, she began working for RTG, heading the credit control department. Rachel has many qualifications including 4 A-levels, 10 GCSE's and Degree BSC HONS in Financial services. Rachel is responsible for all accounts receivable and assists with payroll functions.

Russell Fage - Chief Commercial Officer

Job Titles:
  • Commercial Director
Russell joined the company in 2013 to oversee our business activities ensuring that we remain on track to meet both our clients and business goals. His career started in 1995 in the construction sector where he achieved his Hons Engineering degree before progressing into senior management where he obtained his experience in both project and business management. When not nose deep in a spreadsheet he spends his time keeping fit and tinkering at home.

Simon Everitt

Job Titles:
  • Accounts Manager
Simon joined RTG in 2016 to manage the accounts department. Previously he had worked in practice for 29 years and has dealt with the RTG accounts since 2009. He specialised in SME's and managed a portfolio of clients dealing with all their accounting and tax requirements. He was also involved in IT and software support and was directly involved in database design and development; the introduction of a document management system to enable paperless working and the implementation of a suite of new accounting programs

Stephen Coker

Job Titles:
  • Planning Manager
Steve has 16+ years' experience in the rail industry including Project Management. Steve has been a member of the RTG team since 2008 and is Head of SSOW planning. He holds a number of Safety Critical competencies, including OHL.

Steve Bastable

Job Titles:
  • North Office Manager
Following a career in the oil industry Steve started his rail career 22 years ago on the West Coast Route Modernisation Project and has worked on various isolation projects around the country. Steve joined RTG as North Office Manager in 2020, he is still an active Nominated Person and Isolation Planner.

Steve Maclean

Job Titles:
  • SWP & Possessions Planner
Steve started in the rail industry in 2015, with the most recent 18 months in a Access Planning role here at RTG. His role includes identifying suitable access that enables the works to be completed safely. In addition to access planning, Steve also creates and distributes Safe Works Packs (SWP) in accordance to the NWR's 019 Standard. Steve holds a number of Safety Critical competencies including Engineering Supervisor (ES) and AC Nominated Person (NP).

Terry Dersley

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager for Construction and Environmental
Terry has in excess of 30 years experience in the rail industry with 8 years' experience with LUL/TFL. Terry is qualified as a Trainer and Assessor, and holds a number of other qualifications including NEBOSH and Track Handback Engineer. Terry's background is in P-Way Track Maintenance & Renewals, Project Engineering and Management, New builds & Groundworks

Tina Bastable

Job Titles:
  • North Office Administrator
Tina worked previously in the health sector but left the NHS in 2018 and joined the rail industry. She joined RTG in 2020 as North Office Administrator. Her qualifications include 7 GCSE's and a degree in Health and Social Care.

Tony Foreman

Job Titles:
  • Isolation Planner
Tony has over 30+ years' experience in the rail industry with 16 years in the overhead line department, Tony also has 11 years' experience in the civils sector. His current role at RTG is the completion of SSOW packs for the RTG OLE isolation department. He holds various safety critical competencies and is an active Nominated Person.

Wayne Tilley

Job Titles:
  • Director
Wayne worked as a professional chef in the City of London before joining the rail industry in 1999. He joined RTG in 2007, becoming a director in 2009. Wayne is still an active ‘Nom' and can often be found out on track carrying out isolations. He is married and has 2 children. Hobbies are going to the gym, Football and Golf.
