ACORN ALUMINIUM LIMITED - Key Persons

Craig Key

Job Titles:
  • Operations Manager
Having previously headed up the design team, I still work very closely with them, but now also have a key responsibility for operations and manufacturing. This includes all aspects of fabrication from stock control to scheduling and delivery. The remit is to make sure that everything gets made how it should and delivered to site, when it's needed. I started my career within the industry as a trainee draughtsman in 2015 and I soon realised I had a love for what I do. I joined Acorn Aluminium in October 2016 as a draughtsman within the design team. I worked hard, and quickly made my way through the ranks to design manager, and then Pre-Construction Manager in 2020.

Paul Moss

Job Titles:
  • Contracts Director
I joined the Acorn team in October 20, to head up the contracts department with a remit to improve service and delivery to our commercial client base.

Paul Stevens - Managing Director

Job Titles:
  • Managing Director
As Managing Director, ultimately the ‘buck stops with me' for everything that we do, however, I still remain part of the Sales and Estimating Team, so continue to oversee the preparation of all tenders, client liaison, and order conversion. I joined Acorn what seems a very long time ago now, in 1997 having worked in construction industry since leaving college 10 years earlier. My first role with Acorn was as an Estimator, becoming Senior Estimator in 2002 and then, Commercial Director, in 2018. Put it this way, along the way I've probably made ‘cups of tea' for a lot of people! What motivates me most, is that focus on quality and service, both of which we recognise need to always be high, in order to ensure that our commercial contractor partners get solutions they can have confidence in founded on the service they deserve.

Sean Robinson

Job Titles:
  • Estimating Manager
Estimating sits as an amalgamation of the whole company because the knowledge base that we have to have, is so broad. We need to understand what the products we supply can do but also how they fit and integrate into buildings. It's a little bit of design, understanding our factory and manufacturing processes and installation - and how those different things converge, in successful project delivery. I spent a little bit of time in the Army as a Groundcrew Operations Specialist. I began a career as an estimator a little over six years ago, starting out as a trainee and then working my way up to a management role. This included time spent with a number of different roofing and architectural glazing specialists. The thing that I enjoy most about my role is winning business on the back of a customers' successful bid. You put a lot of work in, so when it comes through, there's a definite feelgood factor.
