CLAYDANCE DESIGN

Gyula Vajto studied ceramics in his native country of Hungary. Early in his career, Gyula was inspired by ancient Greek and Roman pottery and by the themes and forms of European folk art, which are still apparent in his more recent sculptural pieces. Geometric shapes in nature have been an equally powerful influence in his work where he blends the traditional and the modern.
