Tanya has been referred to as one of the most technically astute and competent human resources consultant in the Atlantic area. She is unique insofar as she has extensive experience in all functional areas of human resources management. Tanya has worked within a wide range of industries as a human resources consultant(including municipal government, sales, mining, manufacturing, contact center, services, security, head hunting, IT and consulting) and is valued for the eclectic approach she has developed around problem solving. Tanya has a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University and an Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Nova Scotia Community College. In 2000, Tanya was certified as a Diversity Trainer. She has delivered diversity training to more than 1000 participants in five countries. Tanya obtained her national human resources designation, the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certification in 2001. Tanya has won a number of awards including: the national John T. Ryan Safety Award (for two consecutive years), the ACCESS Nova Scotia award for creating an environment of inclusion, and the USG Award of Excellence. Tanya is a current member of the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia and has served as its Vice President and a member of the Professional Development and Sponsorship Committees. Tanya is past Secretary of the Security Action Council, Royal United Services Institute. She is recognized as a "Life Long Learner" and advocate and has deliberated on Nova Scotia Community College and Nova Knowledge panels. Tanya has acted as a curriculum consultant for the Nova Scotia Community College and has been a key note speaker for both the Nova Scotia Community college and the HRDC Young Women's Conference. Tanya served on the membership committee of the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise. She is the Human Resources Management Advisor to the Entrepreneurs with Disability Network.
