Since our founding over 40 years ago, we renamed to Womankind in 2017, and have grown tremendously while staying close to our roots, working with and for marginalized communities. Our expertise lies in supporting Asian communities, but our services are inclusive, welcoming everyone regardless of background. We offer culturally-sensitive healing methods to survivors of all kinds of gender-based violence, including human trafficking and sexual violence. By prioritizing survivor-centered approaches in our service and advocacy, Womankind's reach has extended nationally and even internationally... Since 1982, Womankind has served survivors of gender-based violence in a holistic way-from supportive counseling and legal assistance to emergency housing (shelter) and wellness groups.
