KALAWI DDS

Dr. Sophia Kalawi is not a stranger to the dental chair. As a child she spent a lot of time having work done on her teeth. Her love for art and science, as well as a history of female dentists, inspired her career choice. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Chapman University with a Food Science and Nutrition degree and a minor in Psychology. She then went on to pursue her doctorate in dental surgery from University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she was invited to become a member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Dental Fraternity, an honor offered to select students from the top 12.5% of the graduating class. While in school, she was a teacher's assistant for most pre-clinical classes and a member of Dr. Stanley Malamed's IV sedation team. She served on the emergency response team for the clinic floor and worked as a CPR instructor through the American Heart Association...
