An MBA in Marketing and Systems, he began his career as a Management Trainee with "The Times of India Group." After attaining three promotions in less than 3 years, he went ahead to make his mark in a few more product-lines of the group. As a part of the "three member team" which launched "Times Music" in Delhi, he lead the Sales & Marketing function to significantly contribute in developing the network in North and East India, making the company a profit centre, within less than a year from the launch. As a part of the launch-team in Radio Mirchi, Vivek received the "Flame Thrower" award for over achieving his business targets. Subsequently, as Marketing Head for Delhi & NCR Circle of Idea Cellular, he bagged the first "National Roaming Overdrive Trophy" for significantly over-achieving his targets and the "Best Cross Functional Team player Award" from the CEO. He later led/managed the operations for three portfolios of Collections-COE at GENPACT, as the Process-owner.
