Palmetto Family Alliance began as the Legacy Alliance Foundation, a 501(c)(4) organization founded to fight the expansion of video poker. When Legacy Alliance accomplished its goal of helping to shut down South Carolina's highly addictive 33,000 video gambling machines, the name was changed to Palmetto Family Alliance and became governed by the board of Palmetto Family Council... Palmetto Family Alliance complies with all applicable state and federal laws. Our accounting practices and procedures are consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and are overseen and reviewed by a board of directors.
