April is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, having advised clients and colleagues on this area of law for more than 15 years. April works with organisations of all sizes, advising on a broad range of commercial matters, including contract creation, contract negotiation, intellectual property, consumer law, governance, dispute resolution, and privacy law. Prior to joining Seneworth Legal Partners, April held Senior Legal Counsel roles at multinational pharmaceuticals giant, Johnson & Johnson, for more than seven years. Combined with more than six years working in in the commercial / corporate team at a top tier law firm in Sydney, April has both the legal and commercial experience to solve the most complex of issues affecting organisations of all sizes. In addition to her extensive industry experience in the medical and pharmaceuticals industries, April works with clients who operate in the communications, creative, digital agencies, e-commerce, FMCG, not-for-profit, agriculture, and communications industries. April enjoys developing deep relationships with her clients and becoming truly integrated in their business as a trusted advisor. April is the current company secretary of Australian Eggs Limited, and the co-founder of online legal template business Cherrypicka Legal Docs.

Emma Appleby

Emma is a specialist trade mark attorney, having worked in this area for more than 14 years. She advises local, regional and international organisations across a broad range of industries - with clients ranging from start-ups to well established businesses, including highly recognisable Australian and overseas brands. Emma's expertise extends to all facets of trade marks - she is also experienced in drafting and submitting trade mark applications and legal and associated correspondence with IP Australia and WIPO, including working with foreign agents. Prior to joining Seneworth Legal Partners, Emma held the role of Senior Trade Mark Attorney at a mid-sized corporate law firm for more than 10 years, specialising in trade marks and collaborating with partners and lawyers across a broad range of legal expertise. Having previously worked at a specialist intellectual property firm, Emma also brings a deep level of understanding of the broader trade mark process - from inception through to commercialisation and renewal. Emma's clients describe her as collaborative, personable and reliable. Justin Senescall - Founder

Justin is a highly experienced intellectual property lawyer, having advised clients in this specialised area for more than 20 years. Prior to founding Seneworth Legal Partners in 2017, Justin held senior intellectual property roles in Sydney and Brisbane based firms, including the role of Partner at multi-award-winning international IP law firm, Bird & Bird. Justin advises local and international clients on the Australian aspects of their intellectual property portfolios including advising on intellectual property strategy and structuring, trade mark portfolio management as well as enforcement and disputes. Justin advises clients from a range of industries including creative agencies, retail and brands, automotive, fashion, agriculture, financial institutions, fast moving consumables and health. Nicole Doyle

Nicole is an experienced commercial lawyer, having advised a broad range of clients - from start ups to national organisations - on a variety of legal issues for more than 10 years. Nicole joined Seneworth Legal Partners in 2021 as a consultant assisting with employment, property and general commercial law matters. Nicole has particular experience working with clients in the accounting industry and is well placed to advise accountants, financial advisors and CFOs on compliance and risk associated with their practice. Prior to working on a consultancy basis with Seneworth Legal Partners , Nicole held an in-house legal role at J Tax Legal Solutions and also previously worked as an Associate at Miller Sockhill Lawyers on the Sunshine Coast. In her early career, Nicole worked in insurance litigation for the Queensland Government's legal department, Crown Law. Nicole is recognised by her clients and colleagues as no nonsense, approachable, clear and pragmatic and uses these skills to provide prompt and practical solutions to her clients.
