Tory is registered with the BC College of Social Workers (Registration # 08615) which is the regulatory body in British Columbia that upholds standards of practice for Social Workers in the province... Tory draws from variety of counselling modalities (or theories) based on the needs of each individual client and each session. Some of these modalities include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, Expressive Play Therapy, as well as Mindfulness. Tory is also trained as a Triple-P Positive Parenting Practitioner and uses some of these strategies in her work with parents facing parenting challenges. Tory is certified as an Advanced Therapist in Emotion-Focussed Family Therapy (EFFT) which is effective in working with carers of individuals struggling with eating disorders, as well as general mental health and behavioural concerns.
