Alex de Alvarez

Mr. de Alvarez has over thirty years of experience in physical security, cyber security, intelligence, and risk management in both the private and public sectors. As a former Chief Security Officer for two Fortune 500 companies, he is a seasoned professional in all aspects of security including strategic risk mitigation, insider threats, business continuity planning and crisis management operations. While a Senior Executive at the US Department of Energy, his department received the Secretary's Award for Excellence in responding to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Mr. de Alvarez was one of the founding members of the US Department of Homeland Security, serving on the White House Transition Team and as Chief of Operations for the Infrastructure Protection Directorate. He is a former US Marine infantry officer and a former CIA case officer. In addition to his long career in security and intelligence, he is an expert in cyber security and is a Certified Information Security Manager. Mr. de Alvarez attended the University of Dallas for both his BA in Political Theory and his Master of Politics.

Allan Gutierrez

Allan Gutierrez is the Chief Executive Officer of the Urbana group of companies that focus on real estate development, investment, and management. Mr. Gutierrez has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to Urbana, Mr. Gutierrez was a Principal and the Chief Investment Officer of Songy Partners Ltd, the Founder and CEO of Alliance Partners, Inc., a Vice President with Sonnenblick Goldman (a national real estate investment banking firm); and a Manager with Kenneth Leventhal and Company (a real estate consulting group). Mr. Gutierrez has also been engaged as an independent advisor on more than 100 occasions to deliver professional guidance on commercial real estate assets spanning 48 states. He is often sought out for his business acumen and his knowledge of deal structuring, partnership agreements, operating agreements, and finance. Further areas of expertise include strategic management, assessment of investment feasibility, sourcing investment capital, the acquisition and repositioning of underperforming real estate assets, debt restructuring, non-performing loan sales, and mergers and acquisitions of public and private real estate companies. A Detroit native, Mr. Gutierrez received his MBA from Michigan State University, his BS from Wayne State University, and he pursued postgraduate real estate studies at the University of Houston. He is a member of both the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Real Estate Investment Advisory Counsel.

Douglas H. Wise

Mr. Wise has substantial leadership and operational experience across a broad spectrum of Intelligence Community issues. Following 20 years of active duty in the Army where he served as an infantry and special operations officer (including his last five years detailed to CIA). He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree, and also graduated from the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. While in the military Mr. Wise also served in the Pentagon with the, then classified, National Reconnaissance Office as Director of Research and Development focused on developing future capabilities for overhead reconnaissance. During his CIA career, he had the privilege of leading several of the Agency's most important components at Headquarters and in the field. In the course of multiple field assignments, Mr. Wise served four times as a Chief of Station, including a tour in a war-zone location that was then the largest field station in the Agency's history. Mr. Wise was also the CIA's Chief of Operational Training where he supervised a joint cadre of CIA and DoD instructors. Mr. Wise has extensive leadership experience in integrating Intelligence Community components, from his service as a senior leader in two of CIA's largest multi-agency centers. In addition to assignments in Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, South Asia and East Asia, Mr. Wise has served multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. Prior to his DIA assignment, Mr. Wise led a major CIA covert action program. Mr. Wise earned Master's degrees from the Dartmouth College School of Arts and Sciences and from the Thayer School of Engineering, Hanover, New Hampshire. He also completed a post-graduate fellowship at one of the National Laboratories and served on the teaching faulty of the United States Military Academy. He is married to Cynthia C. Wise a former FBI Special Agent and has three sons.

Kevin Hulbert - CEO

Kevin Hulbert founded XK Group Business Intelligence after a distinguished career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he held a variety of high-level jobs and became a recognized expert on counterterrorism, counterproliferation, counterintelligence, human intelligence (HUMINT), Latin America, South Asia, non-traditional operations, cybersecurity, and covert action. An accomplished senior leader in the CIA's Directorate of Operations, Kevin spent many years analyzing political and security issues around the world and responding to requests to deliver high-level briefings to the intelligence community, Congress, and White House policy makers on a variety of issues. He has collaborated extensively with multiple foreign liaison partners, particularly in the areas of counterproliferation and counterterrorism. From an overseas location, Kevin led some of the Agency's most complex counterterrorism operations abroad. Kevin's final job in government service was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he was the Senior Advisor for Counterterrorism. In 2018, President Trump appointed Mr. Hulbert to the 12-person President's Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB). For more than six decades, the PIAB has been a trusted advisor to the President of the United States. The PIAB provides advice to the President concerning the quality and adequacy of intelligence collection, and advises on analysis, counter intelligence, and on a broad variety of other intelligence activities. Having spent years in the intelligence community dealing with some of the most complex issues facing our national security, Kevin is well positioned to advise your company on overcoming the political, bureaucratic, and cultural obstacles that matter to your bottom line. Kevin is fluent in English and Spanish and holds current TS/SCI (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information) clearances, with full background investigation and polygraph. Before government service, Kevin worked in real estate development and finance. After leaving Government, Kevin started the XK Group in July 2014.

Robert Kandra

Robert Kandra is currently teaching at Mars Hill University, serves as a Senior Advisor to the Intelligence, Cyber and Security Consulting Firm, The Chertoff Group, serves as a Special Instructor with USN/NSW SEALs at Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is an active Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. From 1984 to 2012, Mr. Kandra had a distinguished career with the Central Intelligence Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He entered on-duty with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 1984; served there until appointment to the Senior Executive Leadership Team of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as the Associate Executive Assistant Director of the National Security Branch. In this role, provided executive oversight, leadership and direction of all foreign and domestic FBI programs for Counterintelligence, Counter-Proliferation, Counterterrorism, and the FBI's Directorate of Intelligence. Additionally served as the CIA and Special Intelligence advisor to the Director FBI, Robert S. Mueller and United States Attorney General, Eric Holder. Prior to this assignment, excelled as a career CIA National Clandestine Service Operations Officer and Senior CIA Executive; became an established specialist for Covert Action, Intelligence Collection, Clandestine Operations and Intelligence Analysis on the Near East and Southwest Asia, Transnational Counterterrorism, and Weapons of Mass Destruction/Proliferation. He is a specialist in the area of Cybersecurity and U.S. Domestic Terrorism.
