ACCREDITATION

West Virginia University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which guarantees the quality of the university as a whole. More information can be found on this website. Given the many changes WVU is currently undertaking, the University requested and received approval from the Higher Learning Commission to delay the University's 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation comprehensive review, which was scheduled for the 2023-24 academic year. Instead, the HLC will conduct its review and site team visit during the 2024-25 academic year.
