Alona Gilliam is the co-founder and COO of Advanced Primary Care, a direct primary care practice. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelor's degree in Healthcare and Business Administration. She is licensed as a limited radiographer. She assisted her parents with their successful electrical mining business. Alona has coordinated the startup and operation of two physician offices, a primary care clinic and a continuing care retirement community. She is now the co-founder and COO of the first direct primary care practice in the area, now serving patients in two locations. She has over thirty years of experience in the healthcare field. Alona enjoys boating, fishing, ocean, listening to a variety of music and visiting the Smoky Mountains. She gives God all the honor and glory for her success and thanks her parents for blessing her with the gift of compassion, ambition and the will to fulfill her dreams.
Dr. Lori McCoy is the co-founder and CEO of Advanced Primary Care. As a family physician, she strives to be an advocate for her patients and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She enjoys personally connecting with her patients and encouraging them as they work to achieve their health goals. That must be obvious to her patients as well: Advanced Primary Care was named a national "Hero of Healthcare" in 2019, based on patient submissions across the country. Dr. McCoy believes in practicing medicine that puts patients first. She also seeks out opportunities to help employers "think outside the box" when it comes to providing affordable and high-quality health benefits to their employees. She believes "with God, all things are possible." In her free time, she enjoys traveling, concerts, and fly fishing.
Teresa Boggs is a lifelong resident of Greenup, KY. She has worked in the healthcare field for over thirty years. She is licensed as a CNA and CMT. Teresa is compassionate and caring and is an indispensable member of the Advanced Primary Care team. She is a mother of three and grandmother of eleven. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you with your healthcare needs. In her free time, she likes to travel, go antiquing and spend time in the country.
