Deeptee Jain

Deeptee Jain, MD, is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches. Prior to joining the Center for Bone and Joint Surgery, Dr. Jain was an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Her practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of degenerative spine conditions, including lumbar and cervical disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, and spinal stenosis. Dr. Jain also specializes in minimally invasive (MIS) spinal procedures and uses traditional approaches when necessary. Dr. Jain attended Duke University School of Medicine and then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she was awarded Chief Orthopedic Surgery Resident. She went on to receive subspecialized fellowship training in orthopedic spine surgery at New York University Hospital for Joint Disease, where she focused on minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Jain is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the North American Spine Society (where she is also an Advocacy Council Member), the Lumbar Spine Research Society, and the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and a contributor to Forbes.

Dr. Anand P. Panchal

Dr. Anand P. Panchal is a board-certified, dual fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon practicing both sports medicine and surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and knee for adult and pediatric patients. He is currently one of the only dual fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons in all of southeast Florida. His training started with a rigorous orthopedic surgery residency program in Ohio, followed by two well-renowned fellowships. Dr. Panchal's first fellowship took place at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, where he assisted in the care of high school, college (Towson State University), and professional-level athletes (Baltimore Ravens, Washington Nationals, and the Baltimore Blast). He then completed a comprehensive upper extremity fellowship at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, where, under the tutelage of Dr. William Mallon and Dr. Julian M. Aldridge, he learned complex shoulder, elbow, and knee procedures. Dr. Panchal's areas of expertise include: Shoulder arthroscopy and arthroplasty Complex shoulder and elbow trauma/reconstruction ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery, and arthroscopy of the knee Elbow arthroscopy, arthroplasty, and ligament reconstruction All sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow, and knee Dr. Panchal is on staff at Wellington Regional Medical Center, Palms West Hospital, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, and Palms Wellington Surgical Center. Currently, Dr. Panchal serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He has won numerous awards related to his research, including multiple national awards at the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics' annual meeting. He also won the prestigious AOSSM Aircast Award at the 2013 annual meeting. This project, which has been presented at numerous national orthopedic conferences, focused on a novel technique to treat recurrent shoulder instability. Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Panchal has had the privilege of living in numerous metropolitan areas across the United States, due to his training. He spends his free time exercising, playing sports, reading, and spending time with his wife. The two of them enjoy good food and traveling. They consider themselves blessed to be living and working in the Palm Beach County area.

Dr. Dana Desser

Dr. Dana Desser is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Desser focuses on joint replacement surgery and injury prevention. Before joining The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery, he spent many years treating patients at Florida OrthoCare. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Desser is at the cutting edge of joint replacement excellence. His orthopedic residency was done at the York Medical Hospital and he then completed his fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Desser earned his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and his undergraduate degree from John Carrol University. During his collegiate years, he completed an orthopedic internship at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Desser is committed to advancing the field of orthopedics through extensive research which is then published in peer-reviewed journals. Along with being a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, he has also been an honorary chair member for the Arthritis Foundation Walk and served as a co-chair for the Wellington Boys and Girls Club Gala.

Dr. David Simpson

Dr. David Simpson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine, as well as a special interest in fracture care. Dr. Simpson has advanced training in arthroscopic hip surgery and is one of the few orthopedic surgeons in the entire state of Florida to perform this surgical procedure. He also has extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. Dr. Simpson earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed both his internship in general surgery and orthopedic residency at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Garvin Yee

Dr. Garvin Yee is a dual board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in sports medicine and knee arthritis. He specializes in knee arthroscopy, including ACL reconstruction, all arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, and minimally invasive tennis elbow repair. Additionally, Dr. Yee specializes in non-surgical management of knee arthritis, including aquatic therapy, customized bracing, and viscosupplementation injections. Dr. Robert Rochman

Dr. Robert Rochman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Veronica Pedro

Dr. Veronica Pedro is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, certified independent medical examiner, and certified workers' compensation manager with expertise in orthopedic hand surgery. Her areas of expertise include hand and wrist fractures, upper extremity traumatic soft tissue injuries, and reconstruction of the arthritic hand and wrist. After earning her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, she completed her general surgery internship and orthopedic residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Pedro also performed an orthopedic hand surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama- Birmingham. She was honored with the Janet M. Gavin P. Hart

Gavin P. Hart, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the operative and non-operative care of hip and knee arthritis. Utilizing his training at some of the top hip and knee replacement centers in North America, Dr. Hart utilizes the most up-to-date techniques to provide his patients with the highest quality of care. From non-operative options, including cortisone and viscosupplementation ("gel") injections, to operative interventions, such as hip and knee replacement, Dr. Hart enjoys working with his patients to create personalized treatment plans. Dr. Harvey Montijo is the founder and board president of The Center for Bone & Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and total hip and knee joint replacement specialist. Dr. Montijo has extensive knowledge in the latest surgical techniques and trains surgeons around the world, as well as in the United States. He serves as the medical director of Total Joint Center at Wellington Regional Medical Center, member of the Board of Directors of Wellington Medical Regional Center, and founder of the Optimal Wellness and Longevity Institute. Dr. Montijo earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico. A veteran major of the US Army, he completed his surgery internship and orthopedic surgery service at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. Marc F. Matarazzo

Marc Matarazzo, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and related injuries with over 20 years of orthopedic experience. His scope of practice ranges from minimally invasive to complex reconstructions and joint replacements of the shoulder and knee. In addition, he is certified in the MAKO robotic-assisted knee replacement system and has a special interest in cartilage restoration and preservation. Dr. Matarazzo earned his medical degree from The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University, now known as Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He then completed a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he served as the Assistant Team Physician for the New York Jets, the New York Islanders, and the Hofstra University and Hunter College Athletic Departments. Before joining The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery, Dr. Matarazzo served Palm Beach County and the South Florida region from 2002 to 2020. He held an academic appointment as the Medical Director of the Athletic Training Program at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he served as their head team physician for over ten years. He also served as Head Physician for Palm Beach State College and several Palm Beach County high schools. In 2020 he was offered the opportunity to lead the inception of the Sports Medicine Department at Christus Trinity Clinic in Longview, Texas. There, he oversaw a team of certified Athletic Trainers, East Texas Baptist University and LeTourneau University athletic departments, and over ten local powerhouse football high schools. He covered Friday night and Saturday football games, ran Saturday morning injury clinics, and made weekly training room visits. Dr. Matarazzo is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and an active member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has presented nationally and internationally on various sports medicine topics since 1999. He is very excited to be back in Florida, serving the northern Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast communities.
