Curt Gray - CEO, Founder

Prior to starting Breakaway Holdings, Curt was the COO of Recovery Ways, a leading addiction treatment program based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Recovery Ways is a Joint Commission Accredited (JCAHO) facility, offering residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Curt was involved as a consultant in the initial start-up of Recovery Ways in 2009. His early involvement included creating the company's business plan. Previous to his position with Recovery Ways: Gray was the SVP at The Joint Corp., the largest chain of chiropractic clinics in the U. S. The majority of Gray's career has been spent in senior leadership positions with involvement in developing and expanding great businesses including: Chapters (Canada), Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Dean and Deluca, and Sundance. His forte in all previous affiliations has been innovative operations management, successful real estate selection and negotiation, fast paced on time and on budget development of new growth, and successful procurement of investment capital.

Dr. Nick Greenwood

Dr. Nick Greenwood is Board Certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and practices in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the founder and CEO of Greenwood Addiction Physicians. Dr. Greenwood earned his medical degree at the University of Arkansas, College of Medicine. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, subsequent to which he completed a Family Medicine residency at the University of Utah/Salt Lake Regional Hospital. Additional postgraduate training includes certification and waiver to treat opioid dependence with buprenorphine. Dr. Greenwood has practiced Addiction Medicine exclusively for the past five years. He has consulted for numerous treatment centers, including Recovery Ways, Turning Point, and Lighthouse Recovery. He has served as Medical Director of the Department of Chemical Dependency at Salt Lake Behavioral Health Hospital, and Senior Partner and Medical Director at Steinmann Institute. Dr. Greenwood is a diplomat of the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the Utah Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Greenwood brings expert medical direction and decision making to Breakaway Holdings, making the Company a leader in medically assisted treatment in a patient's path to sobriety. Dr. Greenwood is a cornerstone in building the Company's center of excellence program.

Mandi Stevenson

Mandi Stevenson believes in fostering creativity and tending to nature as two of the most powerful components to soulful healing. Her route to this decision included obtaining a BFA at the University of Utah, followed by extensive Pilates teacher training and certification in Boulder, CO; and finally the pursuance of an MA in Counseling Psychology in Carpinteria, CA at Pacifica Graduate Institute. For many years Mandi practiced as a therapist in a private setting with diverse populations that included adult, children, couples, domestic violence perpetrators and survivors, as well as group facilitation of Prime for Life classes. This experience was followed by nearly three years of continued professional development in an adult mental health and substance abuse treatment setting. Her duties ranged from direct clinical care in a residential setting, to the development and supervision of the outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. In addition, Mandi was the co-creator of a cohesive recovery living structure. She is thrilled to have accepted the position of Clinical Director of IOP Centers at Breakaway Holdings, LLC. She realizes there is no single approach to the treatment of human beings and as such, she enjoys continuing to learn about treatment modalities and engaging in creative exploration and development with staff and patients in order to find what works for each individual. She specializes in dual diagnoses; she is EMDR trained and is passionate about assisting people on their pathways toward wellness through a depth psychological lens.

Sara Davis

Job Titles:

Sara is a graduate of the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Sara has worked in the finance area of healthcare as well as served as the VP of Finance for the Slaymaker Group. Sara is well versed in debt financing, multi-unit financial management, and banking relationships; as well as the intricacies of relationships with multiple investors. She also has extensive experience in working with franchise partnerships. Sara brings the financial discipline necessary to run an efficient and profitable business model.
