Britenae Pierce

Britenae is the Chair of Ryan Swanson's Employment Rights, Benefits & Labor Group and member of the firm's Litigation Group. She is a trial lawyer with an extensive and diverse practice in addition to her employment advising and litigation work. She spends the majority of her practice handling both employment law and real property matters as well as commercial and business litigation, contract/breach of contract cases, construction law, title insurance defense, trade secret and misappropriation cases, dispute resolution, and state and federal appellate work. Within Ryan Swanson, Britenae is a valued and active member of the firm, including the following groups and committees. Outside of work, Britenae is an avid home remodeler, designer, and craftsperson. Her favorite projects are large scale DIY remodels and designing and constructing bespoke built-ins for her home. When she puts down the power tools, Britenae enjoys the never-ending pursuit of sunshine, teaching her kids how to travel internationally with only a carry-on, the guilty pleasure of young adult dystopian novels, attempting to train her covid puppy, recipe testing (and eating), and many other creative endeavors to offset her hours spent at a computer screen.

Haley is an associate at Ryan Swanson, working throughout the firm's various practice groups. Haley worked as a Summer Associate with Ryan Swanson in 2022, until returning to finish law school at Seattle University. While in law school, Haley served as the Executive Research and Training Editor of the Seattle University Law Review and the President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. She was also a student attorney at the Seattle University Civil Rights Clinic and a summer law clerk at the Washington State Attorney General's Office. Additionally, Haley was the recipient of six CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Constitutional Law, Business Entities, Property Law, Employment Discrimination, Legal Writing, Skills, and Values, and Persuasive Writing and Oral Advocacy.

Jason Miller

Jason Miller is the director of the firm's Marketing & Business Development Department. He focuses his efforts on building and maintaining the firm's visibility and public reputation, and supporting the firm's attorneys in creating and cultivating productive relationships. Before joining Ryan Swanson in 2007, Jason spent nearly eight years at the international law firm of K&L Gates LLP. As Business Development Manager at K&L Gates, he directed the business development and marketing activities for six of the firm's national practice/industry groups. This involved developing and implementing strategic marketing and business development plans that included public/ media/community relations, brand positioning, events, targeted collateral materials and new business pursuits. Jason's experience prior to joining K&L Gates included work as a Northwest sales representative for a major sporting goods manufacturer and account management at a large worldwide advertising agency. He has a B.A. from the University of Washington in Marketing and Business Administration. Jason served as President of the local chapter of the Legal Marketing Association in 2007, which constitutes over 100 members from across the Pacific Northwest United States. He served on the Board since 2004 in a number of different leadership positions and was most recently the Treasurer. Jason is also a member of the American Marketing Association.
