Cody Xuereb

Cody Xuereb is the Analytics Strategist at DataSF. Cody joins DataSF with a decade of experience leading and managing analytics and evaluation projects for public sector agencies and a passion for using data to inform decision-making. Prior to joining DataSF, Cody worked as a Principal Analyst for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors' Budget & Legislative Analyst/ Harvey M. Rose Associates. He also set up and managed the Research & Planning Unit at the San Francisco Juvenile Probation Department, which was responsible for advising the Department on performance and legislative changes Cody Xuereb is the Analytics Strategist at DataSF. Cody joins DataSF with a decade of experience leading and managing analytics and evaluation projects for public sector agencies and a passion for using data to inform decision-making. Besides his experience in San Francisco, Cody spent six years in the United Kingdom, where he worked as an economist for the British Government, including in the Prime Minister's Implementation Unit, analyzing and advising on the implementation of national policies. He has also worked as a research associate at the London School of Economics and the University of California, Berkeley. Cody holds a Master of Science degree in Public Policy from University College London and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dan Tonkovich

Dan Tonkovich is the Data Program Manager at DataSF. Before working for the City, Dan spent the last decade as an analyst, product manager and analytics manager at various finance and technology companies. His primary focus was using data to build and improve consumer-facing products. When not working, Dan bikes around SF, stopping a lot for snacks. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Tulane University. Dan Tonkovich is the Data Program Manager at DataSF. Helen McLendon

Helen McLendon is DataSF's Senior Analytics Engineer. She has a background in computational neuroscience, experience developing healthcare software, and a zeal for building well-structured, meaningful datasets. She received her B.S. in Biology from Stanford University and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCSF where she studied the neuronal mechanisms underlying auditory perception in songbirds. She has also worked in health insurance, serving in numerous roles including Data Scientist, Operations Manager, and Data Engineer at a Medicare Advantage startup. She is passionate about creating trusted Helen McLendon is DataSF's Senior Analytics Engineer. Jane Gong

Jane is an immigrant who received government services when she immigrated to San Francisco with her parents in 1986. She has had the honor of serving San Franciscans for the past 12 years helping small businesses seek assistance, residents find affordable housing, and every San Franciscan get vaccinated.

Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is an Analytics Engineer at DataSF. A Bay Area local, Matt began working for the City after receiving his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. First beginning as a data engineer at San Francisco International Airport, Matt spent 2 1/2 years working for the Department of Public Health on the City's COVID-19 response. He built the daily process that brings in vaccination data from the state's registry, and managed the data pipelines that populate the open data portal datasets for COVID and mpox. In his free time, Matt enjoys long bike Matthew Smith is an Analytics Engineer at DataSF. Michelle Littlefield - Chief Data Officer

Michelle Littlefield is the Chief Data Officer for the City and County of San Francisco, where she leads the City's data strategy and expansion of the City's analytics ecosystem. Michelle brings 10 years of experience leading and building analytics capabilities and driving digital transformation in local government. She served as the Data & Analytics Manager for SF Planning where she focused on establishing consistent data governance standards, increasing GIS capabilities, and expanding the department's Data & Analytics team. Prior to this role, Michelle served as the Digital Services & Michelle Littlefield is the Chief Data Officer for the City and County of San Francisco, where she leads the City's data strategy and expansion of the City's analytics ecosystem. Michelle brings 10 years of experience leading and building analytics capabilities and driving digital transformation in local government. She served as the Data & Analytics Manager for SF Planning where she focused on establishing consistent data governance standards, increasing GIS capabilities, and expanding the department's Data & Analytics team. Prior to this role, Michelle served as the Digital Services & Analytics Program Lead for Redwood City and co-founder of the Code for America Brigade for San Mateo County. Michelle earned Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Urban Studies & Planning from UC San Diego, completed her Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and is pursuing an M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the Johns Hopkins University. She's passionate about connected urban systems and serves as an advisor on smart cities and urban analytics at various academic institutions and organizations.
