Adrienne Orilla

Adrienne is a designer with a background in marketing, digital design, concept creation, storytelling, animation and photography. Her experience includes her work at Green For All where she began her career with Dream.org, she later moved into the marketing and communications department where she served as the graphic design associate and most recently the visual content manager. Adrienne has also served as the media specialist and executive assistant for the Governor's Office of Planning and Research, The California's Strategic Growth Council, and California Housing and Community Development. Her collective work enhanced her interest in serving the community and fighting for the people whose voices are not often heard. Outside of work, she also is an avid volunteer for many community engagement programs, specifically in elementary schools and communities of color in Northern California. Her hope is to expand her work through digital design / art in social justice not only to local communities in California but to communities nationwide.

Alana Lewis

Alana Lewis has spent the last ten years helping workers build power through their unions as a Political and Legislative Organizer. Alana has advocated for workers' rights and community empowerment for people who provide essential services to the American people. She learned through her family the importance of serving the community by educating and empowering others through the political process. Alana's motivation to follow her passion in advocacy stems from her grandmother, recently retired Vice Chair of the Indiana Democratic Party ,and long-time political activist, Cordelia Lewis Burks. Alexis Uzoh

Alexis Uzoh is the Program Assistant of Green For All. Her responsibilities include streamlining the procurement process across the Green For All team, providing support for Solutions Tour events, and facilitating team meetings to cultivate a culture of belonging. Her commitment to environmental justice began in high school where she participated in creek clean ups, planned fundraisers, and collaboratively created a video PSA about environmental pollution to be presented at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Ocean Plastic Pollution Summit. Alexis is a first-generation Nigerian-American who graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Psychology. She previously interned at the California Department of Civil Rights where she helped create and present an employee training workshop and webinar about the problems that unconscious bias can cause in the workplace and the strategies that can be implemented to improve them. She is committed to pursuing environmental justice for disenfranchised communities and advocating for policies that promote climate equity and address racial disparity. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys writing poetry, attending concerts and festivals, and trying out cool new restaurants.

Amanda Hall

Amanda Hall is the Campaign Director at Dream.org JUSTICE. Before joining Dream.org JUSTICE, Amanda was a Policy Strategist at the ACLU of Kentucky. Amanda was a leader of Kentucky Smart on Crime, a broad-based coalition working for common-sense justice reforms that enhance public safety, strengthen communities, and promote cost effective sentencing alternatives. Through coalition building, advocacy, and following the lead of directly impacted Kentuckians, Amanda was able to be on the forefront of substantial bipartisan Kentucky reforms. Prior to policy work, Amanda served as program director of The Healing Place for Women in Louisville, KY. Amanda graduated from the University of Louisville with a Masters degree in Social Work. Amanda has been directly impacted by the criminal legal system and has a personal passion and drive to end mass incarceration and to create a better world in its place.

Andrew Milton

At the age of 20, Andrew left his home state of California and moved to Auckland, New Zealand for University. He lived the majority of the next 20 years overseas, calling Aotearoa, Japan, Korea, and Argentina his home. His two decades abroad have taught him to appreciate his country's strengths and critique its flaws in the hopes that we can become a better nation. Andrew has worked in online social campaigns engaging and mobilizing people all around the world. He has worked on issues as diverse as criminal, racial, and environmental justice, as well as women's, LGBTQ, and animal rights. Andrew is working toward creating an equitable and inclusive America where all have the right to pursue their lives and dreams without discrimination or fear of violence. As the Email Manager, Andrew helps to deliver piping hot, engaging email to Dream.org members and keep them up to date with the organization's important work.

Apryl Alston

Apryl Alston is the Development Manager at Dream.org. Apryl graduated from Hampton University with a degree in Business Management. After graduating, she taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in South Korea. This experience opened opportunities to start her career in the nonprofit field. Prior to joining Dream.org, Apryl has worked in various nonprofit roles serving underserved communities in the Washington Metropolitan area. As Dream.org' Development Manager, Apryl identifies, researches, and prepares funding opportunities and proposals. In her free time, Apryl enjoys traveling, scuba diving, skiing, and drinking tea.

Becca Minkoff

Becca is the Senior Communications Manager for Dream.org. Becca collaborates with Dream.org staff to plan and implement communications and event strategies. Becca has over 15 years of experience executing complex programming. The breadth of her experience includes digital and live events, marketing and communications strategy, and fundraising. Most recently, Becca worked as the lead project manager for the San Francisco Discovery Gala, the largest American Cancer Society fundraiser in the West. The event successfully pivoted to a fully virtual platform in 2020 and raised over $1.5 million. Becca is a graduate of University of California, Davis, where she studied Spanish and History. She lives in Oakland, California with her partner, their Chihuahua mix, and their many plants. In her free time, she volunteers in support of human rights initiatives in the Bay Area, enjoys reading (and discussing with her book club), travel and trying new restaurants.

Benjamin Suarato - CCO

Benjamin is a political and communications professional who has dedicated his career to social justice and equality. He comes to Dream.org after 10 years in the House of Representatives, first with Rep. Michael McNulty (D-NY) and then for eight years as the Communications Director for Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) where he built an award-winning social media presence, worked extensively with the Congressional Black and Hispanic Caucuses through the Tri-Caucus, and helped lead communications around movements like #StopAsianHate. He also served as a legislative assistant, bringing experience with the legislative and appropriations process. In addition to experience on Capitol Hill, Benjamin has years of organizing experience through his time with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA), an umbrella organization of national and local Jewish advocacy groups where he helped create a communications department and organized efforts around poverty, climate change, and gun violence. Benjamin is a native of upstate New York who graduated from Colgate University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and cat and is happiest by a body of water.

Brenda Medina-Maldonado

Brenda grew up in California's Central Valley surrounded by agriculture and hard working families. She attended the University of California Santa Barbara and in 2013 received a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in Linguistics. After being in the workforce for a couple of years she decided in 2018 to go back to school to learn as much as possible about climate change. While at Santa Monica College she completed an A.A. in Public Policy with an emphasis on the Environment and an A.S. in Recycling and Resource Management. To round out these degrees she also got certified in Organics Aide and as a Sustainability Assistant. Looking to further her active involvement in promoting positive changes, she worked as the Student Greening Program Director at the environmental education non-profit, Sustainable Works. Through this experience she found that the key to change is through community focused movements that center people and purpose. By joining Dream.org Green For All she will continue to expand her community work through ongoing and new partnerships to best serve communities.

Brittany Stewart

Brittany Stewart is the Government Affairs Associate at Dream.org. Brittany joins Dream.Org with over 5+ years of experience in policy analysis, strategic communications, and qualitative and quantitative research. She previously held several internships at organizations such as NASA, EMILY's List, The Ron Walters Center for Public Policy and Politics, and the United States Senate. Brittany is passionate about community service and providing academic resources to Black and Brown students. She Co-Founded the Scholar Network in 2020, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering students with tools and resources to strategize and build equitable solutions to pressing issues in their communities. Brittany holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University. She is originally from Columbus, Ohio, and resides in Washington D.C with her husband and fur baby (dog).

Brooke Durham

Brooke serves as the Deputy Director of Communications. She helps craft and implement communications strategies that connect the diverse audiences to the Dream.Org mission, with an emphasis on the GReen For All program. Brooke loves collaborating across the communications and program teams to tell the story of the amazing work Dream.Org is doing. A climate activist at heart, Brooke brings years of experience in environmental nonprofit communications experience to the team. Before joining Dream.Org she worked with the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy to develop content strategy and manage unique brands for 15 regional grassroots campaigns. She also worked with the Center for Transportation and the Environment to grow the organization's reputation and market national events. Brooke holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the College of Charleston, with an emphasis in environmental policy and urban planning. She currently resides in the Atlanta area with her family, and enjoys playing violin and spending time outdoors.

CeCe Grant

CeCe Grant comes to us with more than 12 years of experience in issue advocacy, political campaigns, and federal policy. She is a transportation policy leader and has led efforts across the country in building strong local and statewide coalitions with community, labor, faith, and environmental groups. CeCe has extensive experience in managing statewide field campaigns, including national campaigns to pass the Affordable Care Act and the FederalTransportation Reauthorization bill. Most recently, she ran Conservation Voters of South Carolina's ‘Change the Climate' campaign, successfully getting virtually every Democratic Presidential candidate to make a strong commitment to act on Climate Change within the first 100 days. A native Detroiter, she holds a master's degree in Political Management fromGeorge Washington University and a second master's in Communications from Wayne State University. She now lives in exile from Winter weather in Durham, North Carolina.

Chelsea Moore

Chelsea Moore is the Policy Manager for Dream.org JUSTICE. Prior to coming to Dream.org, Chelsea co-founded Look2Justice, an organization that provides peer-led civic education to system-impacted people and works to pass criminal legal system reform that leads with racial justice. Chelsea holds a PhD in political science from the University of Washington. Her dissertation, "In Pursuit of the Pervert: Sexual Dangerousness and the Creep of the Carceral State," examines the relationship between fears of sexual dangerousness and the expansion of mass incarceration by analyzing the emergence and development of sex offense registries and the practice of civil commitment. Chelsea is a published researcher, an award-winning instructor, and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. In 2020, she was named an American Association of University Women Dissertation fellow.

Diana Frappier

Diana is a founding member of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, and has proudly supported the organization's growth from a small-scale operation of one full-time staff into a grassroots powerhouse. Diana received her B.A. in Social Welfare and her J.D. at Hastings College of Law. While she is not focused on the Ella Baker Center, she is operating a private community criminal defense practice, and serving on the boards of Bay Area non-profits Machen Center and TURF (Together United Recommitted Forever.) This San Francisco native is also a real estate broker, supporting activists and other members of her community to empower themselves through homeownership.

With a passion for finding new ways to bring brand ideas to life and an almost obsessive interest in the ever-changing landscape of social media, Effy has marketing and social media experience across industries. Prior to joining Dream.Org, she worked at the agency of record for PeacockTV producing thumb-stopping content for Peacock's main socials and for many of its original shows. Effy's expertise lies in social media strategy and content development, backed by passion and an "always on(line)" mindset. Outside of marketing, she has a large background in research, community service, and non-profit work across organizations in California and Illinois. Effy has a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in Human Development and Psychological Services. She currently resides in South Carolina but has previously called LA and Chicago home.

Emily Frappier

A Bay Area native and UC Berkeley graduate, Emily's community commitment is evidenced through her long time work with youth and justice organizations. She is a mother to two young adults and is active in their educational and athletic pursuits.

Emily Latimer

She joins Dream.org with nearly 10 years of experience building communications campaigns for political, business, and nonprofit leaders. Over her career, she has worked for Hawaii's congressional delegation in both the U.S House and Senate, and trained and advised more than two dozen organizations, legislators and executives in crisis communication, community relations, and advocacy. Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Emily is rooted in the Aloha State's values of service, multicultural inclusion, and family. She is a volunteer and advisor to AccesSurf-a nonprofit leader in adaptive surfing-and has taught and studied movement-based healing practices for over a decade. Emily Woodall

Before joining Dream.org, Emily spent five years with the League of Conservation Voters as a Field Director for Climate Action Nevada. Emily has eight years of experience organizing issue based, labor, and electoral campaigns and looks forward to continuing that same line of work at Dream Crops. Born and raised in Western North Carolina, Emily received her Bachelor's degree at the University of Missouri in Biological Anthropology with a minor in Psychology. She currently lives in Las Vegas, NV and she enjoys hiking with her dog Sky, and traveling through the Western states.

Emmanuel Mammah

The son of a Nigerian immigrant and daughter of the American South, Emmanuel learned early lessons in the value of civic participation. At the tender age of four, he joined John Kerry for President as the youngest registered volunteer in the nation. By the age of 8, Emmanuel earned his first job as a paid campaign operative in Denver, CO. In 2018, a recent High School graduate eager to apply his passion for civic engagement, Emmanuel relocated to Florida to assist with mid-term voter registration efforts. It was a short while before his performance saw him promoted to Deputy State Data Director. Between semesters at CU Boulder, where he majors in Computer Science, Emmanuel joined a D.C based consulting firm where he served as deputy field director for various political campaigns throughout the country. Notable career highlights include his work on Andrew Gillum's gubernatorial campaign in Florida, Stephen Daniel‘s congressional campaign in Texas, and Amy Klobuchar's presidential primary campaign in multiple states including New York, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Indiana, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Nevada. Geri Yang-Johnson

Geri Yang-Johnson is the Director of Green Jobs and Entrepreneurship for Dream.org Green For All. Geri's decades of experience improving communities through advocacy, philanthropy, and development are integral to the innovative work within Green Jobs and Entrepreneurship. In addition to uplifting Black and Brown innovators, Geri and her team launched a national Clean Energy Scholarship Fund and green jobs cohort. Geri will lead the work of the Green For All Business Council, a council composed of Black and Brown cutting-edge CEOs in the clean energy and green sector while working alongside Climate Pledge companies to ensure they make more equitable pledges and commitments. Before Green For All, Geri served as the Vice President and Social Impact and Sustainability Sr. Specialist at Wells Fargo. Geri is a 2017 Bankers Without Borders Global Fellow and a 2014 Funders Network PLACES Fellow. She currently serves on the board of The California Wellness Foundation and the James B. McClatchy Foundation where she oversees efforts implementing innovative solutions to California's most pressing social and economic issues. Geri also serves as an Executive Committee Member for Fresno DRIVE, a $4 billion regional inclusive economy investment plan. She previously served on the boards of The Women's Foundation of California, Access Plus Capital (Fresno CDFI), Reinvent Stockton Foundation and on the Statewide Steering Committee for Smart Growth California. He is an administrative professional with 3 years of experience in the mental health industry working with college aged young adults. Prior to joining Dream.Org, he specialized in connecting college students to therapy and psychiatry services as well as educating on navigating the health insurance realm. At Dream.Org, Giovanni is excited to contribute to building a better future for everyone. He graduated from the University of Houston in Texas with a BA in Arts and loves to draw and paint in his spare time. Harrison Ribeiro de Oliveira

Harrison Ribeiro graduated from Chapman University in 2017 with a B.A. in sociology and a minor in rhetoric and writing. After graduation, he worked simultaneously at a state park and at an independent record label. In addition, Harrison volunteered with underserved youth, as an advocate for mental health patients, and with the unhoused population of Orange County to combat the opioid crisis on the ground. Harrison moved to Oakland in early 2019 to intern with the Center for Biological Diversity's organizing program, quickly falling in love with the natural beauty of the Bay Area and the widespread commitment to social and environmental justice of its residents. As the Dream.org Senior Digital Organizer, Harrison mobilizes volunteers across the country to take action in their communities and builds creative engagement strategies for the organization's base. As an avid birder, Harrison spends most of his free time outdoors with his binoculars, reading, illustrating, watching horror movies, and organizing to fight the climate crisis.

Heidi Bailey

As Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO, Heidi coordinates meaningful connectionsand paves a smoother path for Dream.org leadership to create change in our communities. Heidi lends her experience in administrative leadership, human resources,non-profit management, and customer service to act as a resource for Dream.org staff, partners, and the public. A lifelong activist and advocate for underserved communities, Heidi earned her B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in American Government and Public Policy from Boise State University in 2013. Immediately after graduation, Heidi joined AmeriCorps VISTA, where she volunteered her time to an organization that serves people with developmental disabilities. Though she worked in development during her time in AmeriCorps, Heidi became passionate about supporting the staff and volunteers who propped up the organization more directly. This desire to be more involved with employee support led Heidi to serve in non-profit roles such as Member Services Coordinator, Director of Training and Recruitment, and Director of Administration. Heidi is excited to use her many administrative and people support skills to further the Dream.org mission. In her free time, Heidi loves cooking and baking, enjoying live performances, and snuggling with her sweet and energetic fur baby.

Henriette Vinet-Martin

Henriette Vinet-Martin is a bilingual Chilean-American immigration attorney, born and raised in the Washington DC metro area, and the daughter of immigrants. Henri received her BA in Global Affairs from George Mason University and her JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She has worked for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), while based in the Deep South, fighting deportations and defending immigrant rights. Prior to her work with the SPLC she worked for Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (CLSEPA) in the San Francisco Bay Area and for Catholic Charities in Louisiana representing detained immigrants seeking asylum, among other forms of relief.

Isabella Goñi

Bella Goñi is the Policy Analyst for Green For All. Bella supports Green For All's federal policy advocacy and Justice40 Campaign, working to ensure that federal climate investments go to the communities that need them most. She also works on Green For All's state policy and Common Ground Campaign, advising on equitable and inclusive regenerative agriculture policy. She is passionate about motivating a just transition to a green economy through community-centered policy advocacy, and advancing the economic inclusion of Black and Brown communities in the process. Bella graduated from UC Berkeley in 2020 with a degree in Environmental Sciences and Food Systems. She wrote her Honors Thesis on ensuring the representation of small regenerative agriculture producers in Federal conservation programs, and in the process developed a strong passion for working in the intersection of lived experience, analytical research and policy advocacy. Prior to joining Dream.org, Bella worked for Change Food NY, focusing on food justice and sovereignty in urban areas. She has also worked with the Restaurant Opportunities Center United to plan strategic convenings bringing together policymakers and immigrant restaurant workers to improve wages and working conditions through state legislative campaigns. In her free time, Bella loves hiking and backpacking, expanding her botany and mycology knowledge, and finding funky underground music venues in the Bay.

J Alexandria Hunt-Garcia

J Alexandria Hunt-Garcia is the Digital Community Organizer at Dream.org JUSTICE. Before joining Dream.org, J worked closely with ACLU of Arizona Smart Justice as a volunteer to drive criminal justice reform in Arizona, with a heavy focus on women's rights within the carceral system. Through expert relationship building with even the most unlikely allies J has worked fiercely to fight against mass incarceration. J uses her eleven years of personal experience in the criminal legal system to fuel her passion for change. With five years spent in prison J uses her experiences and expertise to change hearts and minds. J is currently working towards a degree in Non-Profit Management and Leadership through Rio Salado College. J also serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors & Legislative Coordinator at Arizonans For Transparency and Accountability in Corrections, driving independent oversight legislation that would institute transparency and accountability in the ADCRR and increase public safety while ensuring proper care for the incarcerated.

Jamie Lunder is a passionate supporter of the arts in all its forms. Jamie is actively involved with SFMOMA, the Studio Museum in Harlem and the Guggenheim Museum. She has served on the Board of Trustees at the San Francisco Art Institute. He has spent his career fighting for racial justice and taking on corruption - as a civil rights lawyer, special counsel to the Moreland Commission to Investigate Corruption, and as attorney investigating police misconduct for the City of New York. In 2016 he was named the first advocacy director of JustLeadershipUSA, where he managed the historic #CLOSErikers campaign. He then ran criminal justice programs across the country for the ACLU. As a candidate for Manhattan District Attorney in 2020, Janos ran on a bold platform to use prison as a last resort, receiving praise for groundbreaking policies that became the gold standard in the race.

Jessica "Jessie" Buendia is the National Director of Green For All, an initiative of Dream.org. Green For All works at the intersection of the environmental, economic, and racial justice movements to advance solutions to poverty and pollution. Before coming to Green For All, Jessie served as the Acting Executive Director/Chief Deputy Director of the California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) under the Governor's Office of Planning and Research. SGC promotes sustainability, health, and equity across the State by helping California achieve its climate change and racial equity goals through place-based, community-driven infrastructure investments and transformative programming. At SGC, Jessie oversaw a $1 billion annual budget and launched two new programs, the Community Assistance for Climate Equity Program and the Health and Equity Program that expanded SGC's reach and impact in communities across California and propelled SGC as a leader on equity at the state level. Jessie spearheaded the passage of the nation's first state-level, multi-agency Racial Equity vision statement, action plan, and resolution and served as the State's host for the Capitol Collaborative on Race and Equity and the Interagency Racial Equity Working Group. Jessie currently serves on the board and executive teams of the Fem the Future Foundation and the East Bay Community Law Center. She has held positions at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, San Francisco Foundation, Health Access Foundation, Rose Foundation, California State Legislature, Urban Habitat, and the Greenlining Institute. She has also lived and worked in Mexico, France, India, and South Africa. Jessie has a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Princeton University, an Advanced Project Management Certificate from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's Degree from Macalester College. She is a certified coach with a focus on building transformational leadership within the social justice sector. Jessica MacTurk is the Program Operations Associate & Executive Assistant to Michelle Romero at Dream.Org, working across program teams to establish consistency, cohesion, and collaboration between the program areas. Jessica believes strongly in continuing education and has earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology, a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Paralegal diploma. She comes to Dream.Org with more than 7 years of systems and data experience supporting many cross functional teams. As a justice impacted individual, Jessica is passionate about ending mass incarceration. To achieve this, Jessica works as a volunteer with ACLU of Arizona Smart Justice program, is a board member and policy coordinator for Arizonans for Transparency and Accountability in Corrections (ATAC), and mentors returning citizens through the Televerde Foundation. John A. Fabricius

John A. Fabricius is a Digital Campaigner at Dream.org JUSTICE. John has been directly impacted by the criminal legal system as both a family member of an incarcerated person and as an incarcerated person himself having served 15-years in Arizona State Prisons. He graduated from The Paralegal Institute in 2008 and earned an associate degree from Rio Salado College in 2019 with a focus on government and political science. He also has an extensive history working in information technology & digital roles. After earning a degree in paralegal studies, John began assisting fellow incarcerated men with post-conviction relief, habeas corpus, civil-rights, family law, and civil matters. Accordingly, John brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding of the inner workings of the criminal legal and carceral systems. Additionally, John served as the Executive Director of Arizonans for Transparency and Accountability in Corrections (ATAC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to creating comprehensive, independent oversight of the Arizona Department of Corrections. In his role with ATAC, John has worked with lawmakers, organizations, directly impacted individuals, and unlikely allies of every political affiliation in an effort to pass legislation to create independent, external oversight of one of the most punitive and draconian prison systems in the country.

Josie Diether-Martin is the Development Assistant at Dream.org. Josie graduated from the University of Redlands with a degree in Sociology and Anthropology with an emphasis in social inequalities. She participated in her University's Inside Out Program, studying the school-to-prison pipeline alongside young men currently incarcerated at a nearby juvenile detention center and developed a deep interest in criminal justice advocacy and reform. She also volunteered with the American Cancer Society, planning fundraising and engagement events for her campus community. Prior to joining Dream.org, Josie served as AmeriCorps VISTA, supporting fundraising and communications at Root & Rebound. As Dream.org' Development Assistant, Josie provides support to the development team's fundraising and data management work. As the Policy Director for Dream.org JUSTICE he is charged with working with state and federal officials to make policy changes that will impact our criminal justice system. Kandia is a person who has been directly impacted by this system and he brings to our organization more than 18 years of experience in policy and government affairs. Over his career he has served as a senior congressional staffer, and in his role as Chief of Staff for the City of Detroit, he managed multiple City agencies and intergovernmental relations. Kandia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and an English minor from Niagara University. He is intentional in building sound political strategies, crafting evidence-based policies and developing strategic messages. As a community organizer he was successful in getting a coalition of fellow community organizers and public health officials in Michigan to declare mass incarceration a public health crisis. As a result, the coalition actively engaged in efforts to reform the criminal justice system.
