Dr. James H. Silverblatt

Dr. James H. Silverblatt formerly served as the Medical Director at Glow Wellness and brings a depth of knowledge and experience in both traditional Internal Medicine and Functional Medicine. He has been providing his medical services to Northeast Ohio communities for almost 30 years. In his years of service to the community, Dr. Silverblatt has worked in private practice as well as in group practices with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and University Hospitals. Now, being independent, allows Dr. Silverblatt the flexibility to make excellent referrals to any physician, in any system. He also is on staff and maintains admitting and consulting privileges at Lake Health. Dr. Silverblatt not only practices traditional Internal Medicine and may serve as a patient's primary care physician, but also offers a "Functional Medicine" pathway in which a holistic approach to problems seeking to treat causes of illness rather than symptoms is utilized. His patient care is designed to address the whole human being, encompassing care of the mind and body and recognizing the integral connection between the two. Dr. Silverblatt does so by embracing, whenever possible, a holistic and natural approach to the problem Judicious use of nutrient infusions and herbal supplements in conjunction with healthy nutritional guidance often take the place of medications and their consequent untoward side effects. Some common entities which Dr. Silverblatt is adept at treating include: Dr. James Silverblatt uses the latest evidence in medical research in conjunction with his 30 plus years of clinical experience to look "upstream" into the complex web of your body's function to uncover imbalances that lead to symptoms and disease. These consultations are an hour in length.

Mike has always been interested in helping others and this is evident when looking at his career that began as a personal coach while attaining his Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Bowling Green State University. As Mike's success as a personal trainer grew he opened up his own fitness center, Club Olympia in Westlake, Ohio, which was named "Best Gym in Cleveland. Mike was also named "Best Trainer in Cleveland" multiple times and his clients ranged from professional and college athletes to those who were looking to lose weight and get in shape. Mike served the city of Lorain as a firefighter/ paramedic for 20 years before graduating as a family nurse practitioner. Several of his relatives were firefighters, including his father, who was a decorated hero. Over the years, Mike has witnessed the failures in the current medical paradigm of disease management. Instead, his philosophy is to uncover root cause and to partner with each client to educate and motivate them towards reaching their health and wellness goals. Uncovering dysfunction and correcting it before it becomes chronic disease. Mike refers to himself as both practitioner and coach helping his clients take an active role in improving and preserving their health. Before joining Glow Wellness, Mike worked at the Tenpenny Integrative Medial Center, guiding individuals to become the best, healthiest versions of themselves. Mike brings a deep knowledge base around integrative, regenerative and anti-aging medicine. With him onboard, Glow Wellness is excited to grow their Younger For Longer programs that promote a high quality, high functioning life for as long as possible. In addition, as a family nurse practitioner, Mike will expand Glow's services to include whole family wellness. Glow Wellness is honored to welcome Mike as part of our team.
