A former psychiatric nurse Andrew changed his career direction, working in Local Government Community Development and Environmental Services in senior management positions in metropolitan Adelaide for a couple of decades, gaining a BA in psychology and an MBA. In his middle years Andrew returned to university and completed Masters' Degrees in Mental Health Science (Flinders University: Department of Psychiatry), and Social Work. An associate of the Australian and NZ Association of Psychotherapy, Andrew has worked as a Mental Health Clinician with NGO's since early 2009 using a mix of evidence based second and third wave cognitive therapies: CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Mindfulness. Dr John Durkin

Dr John Durkin specialises in crisis intervention and works to prevent mental disorder and suicide. As a firefighter he spent 17 years in frontline fire and rescue work which led to his PhD research investigating social support and posttraumatic growth. His early crisis intervention work was in post-9/11 New York with fire and police officers and in 2017 led the crisis response to the terrorist attacks in London for the Metropolitan Police Service. Dr Durkin sits on the Board of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (Baltimore, USA), and is current President of the European Crisis Incident Stress Management network based in Switzerland. He was recently appointed to the Editorial Review Board of the American Psychological Association's journal ‘Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, and Policy'.

Dr Perry Morrison

He holds an honours degree from the University of Queensland and PhD in Psychology from the University of New England. Janet has more than thirty years' experience in psychiatric research and hospital and community clinical psychology roles in the private, public and not for profit sectors across Australia. A former Police Officer and Police Psychologist, she has worked on several Royal Commissions and was previously the Clinical Director for the NT Police, Fire and Emergency services critical incidents. She has also worked extensively at the forensic interface with young offenders and adults in criminal justice and has worked with a range of organisations in a medicolegal capacity. She works across the age spectrum and has a special interest in youth mental health as well as those in their senior years.
