Alistair Brogden - CFO

Alistair Brogden joined the Royal London Group in 1991 after graduating from Durham University with a BA (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Economics. He joined in 2008 and became Appointed Actuary in 2009. Alistair is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Asad Pervaiz

Asad has worked in the life insurance sector for more than 20 years, across multiple markets, including Asia, the Middle East and UK. After working for Lloyds Banking Group, Legal & General and Phoenix Group, he joined Friends Provident International (then Friends Life Group) in 2013. Asad is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

David Kneeshaw - CEO

David graduated in Law in 1980 and subsequently joined Times Newspapers. He then worked in the advertising industry in London before joining Swiss Life UK as Marketing Director in 1992. David then set up Swiss life's UK Personal Insurance division. In 2002 he joined the Royal London Group as Group Business Development Director and in January 2004 became Chief Executive of the international division, subsequently known as RL360 and then IFGL following the MBO in November 2013.

Denzil Williams

Denzil rejoined in October 2008 having previously spent 7 years with the company (in its days as Scottish Provident International and Scottish Life International). He has over 20 years of financial services experience, most of it being in the development and change arena. Denzil is responsible for IFGL's corporate office, HR and Projects teams.

Donald Macleod

Donald has 25 years' experience working in life insurance, having graduated from Glasgow University with degrees in Mathematics and Accounting and Finance. With extensive expertise in merger and acquisition activity, he was Chief Actuary and Head of Investments at Scottish Friendly before joining IFGL in 2018. Donald is a Fellow and former Council member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Greg Watson - CTO

Greg joined IFGL as Chief Technology Officer in January 2023. He has 30 years IT experience within financial services at Sainbury's Bank and Standard Life. Greg is resonsible for group technology.

Mike Crellin - Managing Director

A former Naval man, Mike trained to become a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young before going on to become one of the founding members of Scottish Life International (SLI). Mike then, together with David Kneeshaw, oversaw the formation of RL360 and subsequently IFGL. He is Manx born and bred (a dying breed) and a former Isle of Man Tourist Trophy competitor.

Rebecca Sowerby

Rebecca joined IFGL in March 2020 as the Compliance Officer for Ardan International, having previously spent almost 20 years with Quilter International (previously Royal Skandia International). Graduating with a degree in law, she has almost 30 years of financial services experience across a wider variety of roles, with the last 20 years, specialising in risk, legal and compliance.

Simon Barwell

With over 25 years experience in the financial services industry, Simon has held senior Marketing/Management roles for several blue chip companies. Simon joined in February 2016 and has played the lead role in developing and implementing Marketing strategy for the group.

Simon Pack - VP of Sales

Simon Pack joined in 2001, having spent a distinguished career with Royal Sun Alliance International (previously Lloyd's Life Assurance) in both London and Hong Kong. Simon is responsible for leading the global Sales teams, and plays a pivotal role both in maintaining and developing new business relationships and shaping the company's business strategy.

Steve Weston

Steve has over 25 years experience within Financial Services spanning across both Retail and Private Banking, Wealth Management and the Life Insurance sectors. He has held a variety of senior executive level positions with responsibilities ranging from product management through to IT and operations, and managing large teams across different countries across the globe.

Sue-Ann Ind

Sue-Ann is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Executive Director with over 25 years' experience at global FTSE50 and private companies in the financial services sector. Expertise in business risk management, mergers, acquisitions, demergers, shareholder restructures and IPOs, as well as change management and integration. Regulator-specific expertise in risk management (prudential and conduct), compliance, internal audit, financial crime prevention and forensic investigations. Sue-Ann has accountability for the Group Risk, Compliance, Legal and Company Secretariat functions.
