JAMES PEGG - Key Persons
Dr. Federico Moreno received his degree in Dentistry in 2009 from the European University of Madrid, Spain.
From 2009 until September 2012 he worked as a general dentist in mixed NHS and private practices in the Lancashire region. During this period he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Implant Dentistry at the Trafford General Hospital, Manchester, directed by Prof.Cemal Ucer from the University of Salford. Dr.Moreno has a keen interest in dental research and managed to publish a number of articles in international dental journals. From a very early stage, Dr. Moreno was fascinated with the complexity of gum disease and was clear he wanted to pursue his passion enrolling in a full time specialist training program. In 2012 he was accepted in the 3-year Periodontology course in the world-renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London. The Eastman MClinDent(Periodontology) program is one of the 11 european periodontology programs, and the only one in UK, that is accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). After graduating, besides working as a specialist periodontist he dedicated part of his time as an Honorary clinical supervisor and Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow for the MclinDent specialist trainees in Periodontogy at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. Most recently, he has been appointed as a Clinical lecturer at the same institution where he will also carry cutting edge research investigating the use of stem cells for periodontal regeneration as part of his PhD project. Federico welcomes referrals for all aspects of periodontal care and dental implant placement alone or in combination with grafting procedures. Outside dentistry, Federico enjoys cycling and playing football as well as attending many of the social and professional events available in London!

Hannika joined the team at James Pegg Dentistry team in January 2017, having previously worked with James at another practice. Hannika is our Reception Manager and is also a fully qualified Dental Nurse. Although she now devotes most of her time to practice management and welcoming patients to the practice, she also regularly undertakes a nursing role, assisting James; our Specialist Periodontist Dr Federico Moreno Sancho, and our hygienist Lisa Tomlinson. Hannika qualified as a dental nurse in 2013, and took an additional qualification in 2015 to become an Oral Health Educator.
Hannika enjoys all aspects of her job, in particular meeting new patients and making patients feel welcome and comfortable at the practice. Her considerable knowledge and experience in dentistry means she is ideally suited to help with any queries patients may have about any aspect of dental care, or dentistry in general.
Away from the practice Hannika spends most of her time with her horse Billy and miniature Shetland Pony Jasper. Hannika is also keen on travelling to new countries and experiencing new cultures and seeing what the world has to offer in general.

Lisa qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Manchester University Dental Hospital in 1996. She was awarded the Dentsply Hygienist of the Year Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance, and the University Prize for the Highest overall Final Examination result.
Lisa is a long-standing member of the practice team, having worked here for 14 years before James took over the practice in 2016.
Lisa is involved in the care of routine dental patients, as well as those with more complex and advanced gum problems. She especially enjoys working closely with Federico Moreno Sancho, our Specialist Periodontist, from the initial assessment of people with gum problems, through active treatment to ongoing maintenance to help them achieve their goals of keeping their teeth and gums healthy. She regularly assists Federico with complex gum surgery procedures, including implant placement, gum reshaping, crown lengthening, and regenerative gum surgery.
Away from work Lisa is a busy mum, with 3 grown kids and a menagerie of pets to look after. And a husband - she's never sure which of these needs looking after the most! She is an accomplished cook and especially enjoys baking for family and friends.
Zoe joined the team at James Pegg Dentistry in November 2015. She qualified in 2002, and so has considerable experience in the dental world. Zoe is our Senior dental nurse and Infection Control Lead.
Zoe enjoys all aspects of Dental nursing in particular enjoys working with James in complex dental restorative and cosmetic procedures. Zoe also assists our specialist Periodontist Dr Federico Moreno Sancho with the placement of implants and advanced gum surgery at the practice. Zoe has a calm manner which helps put patients at ease and feel more relaxed during dental procedures.
Away from the practice Zoe enjoys spending time with her family and going on long walks with Stanley the dog. She also enjoys exploring different parts of the UK and Europe in her motor home for family holidays with her husband and two children.
