The mission of the Business Department is to be fiscally responsible and provide accurate information to employees, vendors, and members of the community. We manage finances, payroll, insurance, grants, and other cost-related needs for the district... We have a current operating budget of approximately $36 million dollars, which includes the General Fund, Federal Funds, Major Maintenance, Enterprise, Recreation Board, and Agency funds. The district's General Fund makes up the majority of this number, which equates to just over $28 million dollars. Of this $28 million in the General Fund, we spend approximately $22.7 million on district staff salaries and benefits, which equates to 80.86% and falls in line with the governing board's resource allocation model... We also oversee our operations and maintenance staff responsible for nine buildings with a total gross square footage of 555,424 sf.
