MCLAREN HUNT - Key Persons
Alison has been with McLaren Hunt since 2000. During this time Alison has been managing our front reception, being the friendly first point of contact for our clients both in person and over the phone. Alison is kept busy assisting both staff and clients with a variety of queries and tasks.
Chris has had extensive external audit experience both locally and with international audit firm Ernst & Young. Chris has worked solely in Audit at McLaren Hunt since 1990 providing audit services to listed, disclosing and non-listed public entities. He has worked with financial institutions, a wide range of private industries, real estate and solicitor trust accounts as well as not-for-profit associations.
Fran has a long history in Office Management, Administration, Retail Business and Payroll. Fran joined McLaren Hunt in July 2013, in her role as Payroll Administrator Fran assists clients with Payroll, Superannuation and WorkCover.
Grant joined McLaren Hunt Financial Planning in 2011 and has been working in the financial planning industry since 2007. Grant is qualified to offer advice in Managed Investments, Superannuation, Personal Insurance, Shares, Margin Lending, Centrelink and Self-Managed Super Funds. In particular he has a strong understanding of Personal Insurance needs and strategies. Grant enjoys the challenge of providing easy to understand strategic advice and is committed to seeing his clients grow and protect their wealth. Grant is an Associate Financial Planner AFP® and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
James began working with McLaren Hunt in 1991 after three years with a Melbourne Chartered Accounting firm. He completed his studies at Deakin University, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a qualified financial planner. Raised on a dairy farm, he has a great understanding of farmers and small business people in general. James strives to provide sound, dynamic advice to his clients in a prompt and timely manner.
John has been a part of McLaren Hunt since 1979. John was a Partner of the Firm since 1981 until retiring from the partnership in June 2013, remaining as a consultant. As a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, John is in an excellent position to assist clients in tax planning, retirement planning and superannuation. John also specialises in business management, farm consulting and succession planning. John has specialist knowledge regarding the establishment and compliance requirements for trusts and charitable organisations.

Leanne has been working in the Finance and Accounting industry since 1997. Leanne joined McLaren Hunt in 2002 assisting our Financial Planning division.
In 2018 Leanne commenced working as an Accountant in our Taxation and Business Services division.
Mark commenced with McLaren Hunt in 1999 after 3 years in Melbourne and has extensive experience in public practice. During this time Mark has been working with clients from a wide range of business sectors. He has provided assistance in areas including taxation advice, specialist advice on capital gains tax, tax compliance, accounting services, business management advice, tax effective structuring and tax exit strategies. Mark also has extensive experience in assisting new business owners to grow their business from the initial start-up phase through to maturity.

Maxine joined McLaren Hunt in 1996. Since that time she has worked in the Taxation and Business Services division, assisting individuals, small business and self-managed superannuation funds meet their tax obligations. Maxine specialises in Self-Managed Super Funds looking at ways to maximise client's income and savings for retirement. She has completed a Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma of Financial Planning and is an SMSF Specialist Adviser TM.
