Amanda, a Certified Dental Assistant, was born and raised in Kittrell, NC. She graduated in 2007 from the Dental Assisting Program at Wake Technical Community College where she excelled and graduated at the top of her class. She has been working in General Dentistry for 16 years. She has been working with dental implants for 15 years and found that she has a passion for this particular dental procedure. Outside of the dental field, her passions include being a dedicated wife and mother of two sons, spending time with her family and friends, hunting and being involved in her church. Amanda also enjoys raising her silkie chickens; most of her lines come from show breeders across the state.

Christy, a native of Henderson, resides in Oxford with her husband. She brings over eighteen years' experience to Drake Dentistry and has been an integral part of the practice since it's inception. Christy has enjoyed working in all aspects of the dental office, from sterilization, to assisting, to front desk administration and management. This broad range of experience has given her an excellent understanding of all the elements involved in running a smooth and efficient dental practice. She received her X-Ray Certification in 2005 and her Coronal Polishing Certification in 2008, both from Wake Ahec in Raleigh, NC. She loves working with people and makes it her goal to make each patient's trip to the dentist an enjoyable one. When she is not working, Christy enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church, jogging and being outdoors.

Dare, a member of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society, graduated from UNC Adams School of Dentistry in 2019. Born and raised in Kittrell, Dare loves to spend time with her family, baking, and various outdoor activities.
"Since I was a kid, I always wanted to go into the healthcare field. I wanted to be able to help my community and make a difference in their lives. My passion for dental hygiene stems from many areas of my life, one of which was my Papa Cole. I always thought he had one of the most beautiful smiles that was contagious to everyone around him. That type of contagious smile is something I want to help create for others. Smiles may seem simple, but they can have a profound impact on those around us on a daily basis. Dental Hygiene is about so much more than just cleaning teeth. It's about making a lifelong commitment to improving our patient's oral health which also impacts their overall health. I am proud to be a part of that.
Being a part of the Drake Dentistry team has been a dream of mine for years and I am so excited and thankful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of dental professionals.
Dr. Alex Drake opened Drake & Seymour Dentistry in July 2012. He had worked for local dentists, but he wanted to open his own business. He had a vision of what the perfect dental office would be, and he intended to fulfill that vision. His goal was to offer Oxford, NC and the surrounding areas the absolute best in dentistry, while providing a hometown feel and personal touch. Through his practice, he wanted to build strong relationships with people in the community seeking healthy, beautiful smiles.
A native of Henderson, North Carolina, Dr. Alex Drake is excited about having returned close to home to provide the highest quality dental care to the people of Oxford and the surrounding areas. Dr. Drake graduated with Distinction from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. In 2006, he graduated with Honors and chose to continue his education in a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. In his residency, Dr. Drake received extensive training in all areas of general dentistry, including hospital operating room dentistry, IV sedation dentistry, oral surgery and dental implants.
He returned home in 2007 and practiced as an associate until opening his own private practice in Oxford, NC in July 2012. Dr. Drake is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the local Gateway Dental Study Club. Dr. Drake is originally from Henderson and graduated from Kerr-Vance Academy in 1996. He is the son of Dr. Roddy and Beverly Drake of Henderson and the son-in-law of Drs. Weldon and Cindy Hampton of Oxford. He is married to Dr. Darcy Drake and they reside in Oxford with their four beautiful daughters as well as their two dogs. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife and daughters, exercising, boating on Kerr Lake , being involved with his church as well as following all UNC Tar Heel sports closely.

Haven, a DAII on our team, is a native a Henderson. Haven graduated from the Sunrise Dental School of Dental Assisting in 2019 and has been working in the dental field ever since. Haven quickly discovered that she has a specific passion for oral surgery and strives to create a comfortable environment for patients during dental care. Outside of her dental career, Haven is a dedicated wife to her husband Caleb. She also loves spending time with her family and friends. Haven's other interests include going to church, being outdoors, animals and gardening.

Pam is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing dental hygiene for over twenty-four years. She is native to North Carolina and grew up in Rockingham. Pam obtained her Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene from Wayne Community College. She received the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Academy of Advanced Studies Award. Pam continues her education in Dental Hygiene by attending yearly courses that provide her with the latest news in the Dental Hygiene field. Prior to dental hygiene, she worked as a dental assistant. Pam greatly enjoys dental hygiene, and especially the personal relationships she has formed with her patients. She is a person of Faith and along with her husband Chris have two wonderful adult sons, Caleb, and Seth. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the lake, listening to music, cooking, reading, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and fur babies.

A native of Henderson, Savannah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Following her college career, she obtained the necessary licensing to practice Dental Hygiene in North Carolina and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2013. Savannah believes it is vital to the health of her patients to foster a strong sense of understanding in regards to oral health, oral disease, and dental procedures. She's happy to share any tips, guidance, or advice to best serve those she cares for, and continues her education in Dental Hygiene by attending yearly courses that provide her with the latest news and innovations in the Dental Health field. She is a current member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Association, and the Durham Orange Dental Hygiene Association. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband-Sam, friends and family, spending time outdoors, and playing fetch with their German Shepard- Rocky.
Dr. Seymour is a North Carolina native, born and raised in Greensboro, NC. He attended North Carolina State University where he majored in Construction Engineering and Management with a minor in Biological Sciences. He continued his education at East Carolina School of Dental Medicine where he earned his dental degree.
Giving back to the community is always something that Dr Seymour has enjoyed. He has volunteered at North Carolina Missions of Mercy Dental Clinics across the state for over 8 years. Prior to dental school, Dr. Seymour assisted in running the free dental clinics through Missions of Mercy and has attended over 35 clinics. He has also had the opportunity of traveling abroad with the Rotary Club to provide dental care to the underserved population in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Honduras.
When Dr. Seymour is not in the office you can find him working outside on his mini farm with wife Ashley and dog Levi. Some of his other hobbies are rebuilding engines and restoring classic cars. He is proud to provide patients with the latest improvements in dental care by staying ahead of the curve on dental technology and materials. Dr. Seymour is thrilled to be able to offer comprehensive dental care to the people of Oxford and all surrounding communities.
