OAK BAY VILLAGE DENTAL - Key Persons

Dr. Sean Filan was born and raised in Oak Bay. He studied Biochemistry at the University of Alberta before being accepted to the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2007. Sean returned home in 2007 and has been practising dentistry in Victoria since that time. In 2017 he took over the practice of Dr. Bob McDougall, whose father and grandfather before him had served the dental needs of patients in Oak Bay. Sean feels honoured to continue caring for the multiple generations of families that are members of his practice, as well as new patients. The relationships and trust that have grown between Sean and his patients are what he values most. In Sean's spare time he enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and two young daughters. He can frequently be seen cycling to work or visiting his daughters' preschool down the street from the office, where he likes to joke around with the kids and make sure they are staying up to snuff with their oral hygiene.
