Oregon's Kitchen Table is a program of the National Policy Consensus Center housed in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government in the College of Urban and Public Affairs at Portland State University. Our non-profit arm is the Policy Consensus Initiative / Kitchen Table Democracy. Our non-profit tax id number is 91-1807304... An important purpose of collaborative governance is to bring a full range of voices together to build on the promises of democracy. Institutional racism and other inequities hinder this aspiration from being realized. Oregon's Kitchen Table is committed to striving for equity both in our projects and in our organizational culture. We approach this work as learners... Oregon's Kitchen Table is a way to bring all Oregonians to the table. It is the creation of a group of non-partisan, non-profit community organizations dedicated to helping Oregonians have a voice - to share their ideas, opinions, beliefs, and resources in improving Oregon and our communities.
