The mission of the SMMSIG is to share information concerning modeling steel mills and railroads... We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation based in Pennsylvania. We elect five directors for three-year terms... If you have an interest in the steel industry and enjoy modeling, feel free to join. As a model railroader having a steel mill as part of your layout creates a focal point that is endless in its ability to fill all of the available space in our layout room. The opportunity for design, operations and creativity is only limited by your imagination. Our group is focused on fueling your education and knowledge on this fascinating industry.
