SUSTAINABLE CRUISING

Sustainable Cruising encompasses many ideals, and probably different things to different people. Our core goal in cruising is to exist as self-sufficiently as possible. From an operational standpoint, this means having the knowledge and skills to maintain and repair our boat and its systems. From a more global perspective, we strive to minimize our resource footprint as well as create as little waste and environmental impact as possible. Unfortunately, cost and practicality are also part of the equation …so there will always be compromises... We are a couple of cruisers at heart, working full time jobs to help realize our dream of spending more time on the water. Whatever vessel, sail or power, larger or small, the dream is the same. We appreciate the sustainability of a smaller boat, and how it enables us to accomplish most upgrades/maintenance/repairs with minimal resource and expense...
