Andria Babbington is the President of the Toronto & York Regional Labour Council representing over 220,000 union members in Canada's largest urban centre. An immigrant to Canada in her youth, Andria joined the labour movement when she began working in the hotel sector in downtown Toronto, where she became chief steward in her hotel at the age of 19, one of the youngest in her union's history. Working as a union organizer for many years, Andria played a pivotal role in campaigns like 2006's Hotel Workers Rising, which raised the living standard across North America for thousands of hospitality workers.
Andria has been on the executive board at the Labour Council since 2004 and served as Vice President for eight years prior to being elected President. The first woman of colour to sit as President, Andria is committed to fighting for a just economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond; equality and justice for all workers; growing the labour movement by increasing union density; and fighting for climate justice to ensure a future for our children.

Anita Stellinga is an accomplished not for profit professional with over 25 years of experience in the sector with a focus on strategy development, management, governance, public policy and partnership development.
Anita has enjoyed a progressive career with United Way since joining the organization in 1995. Currently she holds the roles of Regional Executive, GTA Integration, and Corporate Secretary at United Way Greater Toronto. In 2017, Anita was appointed the Interim President and CEO of United Way of Peel Region, during which time she led the organization through a successful merger with United Way Toronto and York Region in partnership with a talented team of staff, board members and volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals and families in Peel Region. Prior to this, Anita was the Vice President, Community Investments and in this role, she led the development of progressive investment strategies focused on poverty reduction, equity and inclusion, government relations, multi sectoral partnerships and evaluation.
Before joining United Way, Anita was a member of the management team of Poly-Cultural Immigrant & Community Services where she had responsibility for community based programming, settlement and language instruction programs, and supports for newcomer and immigrant families.
She is currently the co-chair of the Peel Poverty Reduction Strategy Committee. As a dedicated volunteer, she is the Chair of the Board of Directors for STRIDE, a mental health agency serving Halton/Peel Region. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto at Mississauga. Anita has a rich bi-racial background of Polish and South Asian heritage and is fluent in Polish and Hindi. She lives in Milton with her husband Robert and two children.

Bruce McCuaig is an experienced leader in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects and public-facing services to diverse customers in intense media and political environments, where he pursues an agenda requiring alignment and collaboration among multiple stakeholders.
He currently works at AECOM as Senior Vice President responsible for leading the Canadian transportation business line, providing engineering and consulting services to public and private clients.
Bruce spent his early career at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs, working in community planning, housing development, executive administration, and long-term structure planning for the Greater Toronto Area. He has held a variety of roles in planning, policy, and service delivery at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, culminating as Deputy Minister between 2008 and 2010. From 2010 to 2017, Bruce was the President and CEO at Metrolinx, the regional transportation authority in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
In 2017, Bruce served as an Executive Advisor with the Privy Council Office of the Government of Canada, advising on the set up and launch of the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and where he developed and implemented a program of outreach to municipalities.
In addition to his United Way involvement, Bruce has served on several professional and community boards, including the Providence Healthcare Foundation as Vice Chair of the Campaign Committee. Bruce is a program director and an instructor at Osgoode Hall in the Master of Law program specializing in energy and infrastructure.
Bruce graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning and from Queen's University with a Master of Public Administration.
Bruce lives and works in Peel Region and has served on our Board as Vice Chair, Finance and Treasurer since 2018. Christine (Chris) Morris is Senior Executive Vice President, Transformation, Enablement and Customer Experience. She is a member of TD's Senior Executive Team and oversees global transformation programs, enterprise data and analytics and artificial intelligence, North American customer operations, marketing, digital strategy, payments and innovation, enterprise change and operational excellence.
Over more than three decades at TD, Chris has held positions of increasing responsibility across many different areas of the Bank. In March 2020, she was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Personal Banking and was responsible for strategy, customer acquisition, operations, delivery, data and analytics, and governance. Prior to that, Chris led the Canadian Real Estate Secured Lending business and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Lending Solutions, Canadian Personal Banking in 2019. Chris served as Chief Financial Officer, Canadian Banking and Wealth from 2016-2017 after leading a variety of teams within Risk Management, Operations, Business Banking and Finance.

Damon Williams is CEO of RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), the asset management division of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and sits on the Boards of Directors for RBC GAM's legal entities in Canada, the UK and the US. He is also a member of RBC's Wealth Management & Insurance Operating Committee. RBC GAM invests over $500 billion for individuals and institutions, primarily from offices in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.
Damon joined Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management (PH&N IM) in 2005 as an institutional portfolio manager specialized in fixed income. PH&I IM became part of RBC GAM after being acquired by RBC in 2008. Damon then served as head of the institutional business globally and as President of PH&N IM (the institutional asset management business in Canada), before becoming CEO of the global business in 2015. His previous experience includes leading the global and Canadian investment consulting practices at a large multinational insurance, risk management, and human capital consulting firm.
Damon is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA), a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Damon is also a member of the Strategic Development Subcommittee of the United Way of Greater Toronto, and on the Board of Directors of CIFAR.
Daniele Zanotti was named President & CEO of United Way in June 2016. With more than 20 years of experience in the public and non-profit sectors, he has earned a reputation as an accomplished, strategic, and energetic leader.
From 2007 to 2015, Daniele served as CEO of United Way York Region, where he led an evolution to transform the charity from federated fundraiser to convener, mobilizer and agent of community change.
In 2015, Daniele was the catalyst behind a merger between United Ways in York Region and Toronto. He helped establish a new regional organization to tackle issues on both sides of Steeles Avenue and stewarded the first-ever United Way Toronto & York Region campaign to an historic achievement of $100 million for United Way's agencies, programs, and initiatives. United Way's record-breaking annual campaigns and community investment have continued, and the charity has applied an increasingly regional lens to its work.
Under his leadership, on April 1, 2018, United Way Toronto & York Region merged with United Way Peel Region. As United Way Greater Toronto, the organization is now able to use its bigger scale to strengthen a region-wide strategy to fight local poverty and address and advocate on complex social issues. Crucial to that work is the contribution of donors and volunteers across the region. To harness their time, talent and treasure, United Way is innovating to provide digital tools and a regional infrastructure that will welcome and support the engagement of 1 million people in its efforts by 2025.
Before joining United Way, Daniele served the community through organizations like the Rexdale Community Health Centre; The Regional Municipality of York; Family Day Care Services; and Villa Charities Foundation. Dave Leonard is the Chief Executive Officer of McCarthy Tétrault, one of Canada's leading national law firms with more than 700 lawyers in Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, Vancouver, Quebec City, New York and London (UK). Leonard has over 20 years of experience as a litigator. He received his LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1992 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1994. Dave practised in McCarthy Tétrault's litigation group, representing a wide range of clients, and in 2012, he was appointed National Practice Group Leader for litigation before assuming the role of CEO in 2016.
Leonard has been recognized for his leadership and support of D&I initiatives and was named Senior Executive of the Year (Eastern Region) by the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion in 2019. The firm also founded its Inclusion Now program under his leadership, which is dedicated to diversity, inclusion and corporate social responsibility. Islay McGlynn recently retired from a 33-year banking career and has broad experience across Personal, Small Business and Commercial Banking business lines as well as experience in risk management, human resources and operations. She is also the Chair of Maduro & Curiel's Bank, a full-service bank based in Curaçao with subsidiaries across the Dutch Caribbean.
Islay holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Hotel and Food Administration from the University of Guelph, an MBA from McGill University, and a Master of Information Studies from the University of Toronto. She also has the Director designation (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Lisa is an accomplished public sector professional who has led countless human services and policy initiatives over her 30-year career.
For more than 20 years, Lisa has worked for York Region in multiple positions which included working in the Regional Clerk's office and in the Office of the Chairman and CEO and was the Director of the Strategies and Partnerships Branch of the Community and Health Services department, for 9 years, where she oversaw community investment allocations, strategic social policy, research and analysis, and strategic communications. In her role as Director, she led the development of the Region's newcomer and seniors strategies and the Inclusion Charter which received international recognition from United Nations Institute for Training and Research. In 2019, she took on the role of General Manager, Paramedic and Seniors Services, where she now provides operational oversight for paramedic services and the Region's two long-term care homes.
Lisa has also worked for the provincial government in a variety of roles including at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Ministry of Community and Social Services, the cabinet office providing support to the Premier's Office, and with the management board.

Mariam Hashmi's background combines an understanding of the Peel Region community through her United Way experience and other volunteer involvements, with a professional background in technology-led transformation and organizational development.
Mariam is currently working at Walmart Canada as a Senior Director, Head of Insights and Analytics Centre of Excellence where she leads data governance, data platform strategy, and data product development, including AI/ML powered analytics. Previously, Mariam was the Director of Technology Products & Program Operations at IMAX for enterprise applications and direct-to-customer mobile products. Prior to this role she worked at RBC as the Director of Strategic Initiatives, where she led key programs to support the transformation and talent priorities of the Technology & Operations group. Earlier in her career, Mariam was a management consultant at KPMG and IBM serving private and public sector clients with technology advisory and implementation services.
Mariam has served on other boards including her role as Vice Chair of the Peel Leadership Centre. She was also a member of KPMG's GTA Foundation grants committee and completed the DiverseCity Fellowship program at Civic Action in 2017.

Michael Cheong is United Way's Chief Financial & Operating Officer. Michael leads the Strategic Finance, Controllership, Operations & Analytics and IT-Technology Solutions teams for the organization.
Michael has extensive experience in finance leadership, controllership, planning and analysis, policy and compliance, enterprise resource planning, and various finance transformation projects, with a focus on increasing efficiency of the organization's processes and procedures to enable corporate strategic objectives. Michael's primary mandate is to support strategic development and to plan the future growth of United Way from a financial perspective.
Before joining United Way in June 2019, Michael served as Chief Financial Officer of York Region Rapid Transit Corporation (YRRTC), where he led the strategy and execution for all aspects of corporate and project finance while maintaining the organization's strong reputation for transparency, accountability and financial reporting related to public funds. Michael has also spent over a decade developing new business strategies and financial models in telecommunications that led to exceptional financial and operational results for the organizations he then worked for.
As a strong advocate for social responsibility, Michael has served in the Executive role of Treasurer for the 360Kids Board of Directors from 2017 to 2019.
Michael holds an MBA, Strategy and Finance from the Schulich School of Business-York University, an Honours BA in French Literature and Mathematics from the University of Toronto, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. Nicole McVan is a strategic non-profit leader with 20 years of experience in Canada and abroad. Nicole volunteers their time in the community, including on the Board at Inside Out Film festival - an organization committed to the promotion and exhibition of film made by and about LGBTQ+ people of all ages, races and abilities. They hold a master's degree in Non-profit Marketing and Fundraising from City University of London and are currently working on a certificate in Community Engagement, Leadership and Development at Toronto Metropolitan University to build their knowledge of how to work with and for communities for lasting change.

Noor comes to United Way with a wealth of experience, having led numerous national and global talent initiatives across diverse sectors and serving in senior roles at CIBC, the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, and GroupM. As the Managing Director of People and Culture at GroupM, the world's leading media investment company, Noor led HR for media investment agencies, as well as HR centres of excellence for Canada, helping streamline operations between Canada and the US to create a unified North American talent offering.
Before joining GroupM, Noor served as the Head of People and Culture at the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. In this role, she set the strategic direction and multi-year priorities for the HR function and led enterprise-wide business diversification and change management initiatives.
Throughout her career, Noor led several transformations, providing both strategic and operational direction to drive organizational effectiveness and growth.
All of Noor's practice and perspective are grounded in a Master of Human Resource Management from York University, a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire, a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University, and a Project Management Certificate from Mount Royal University.
Beyond her professional achievements, Noor actively contributes to social causes. She currently serves as an advisor for a skill-based volunteering startup and is a founding member of an advocacy group for refugees.

Ram Selvarajah is a Senior Systems Analyst with the Ministry of the Solicitor General and has more than 20 years of experience in the Ontario Public Service. He is the Co-Chair of the Solicitor General's Ministry Employee Relations Committee, President of OPSEU Local 524, and a steering Committee member of the Tamil Workers Network. He has extensive experience in labour relations and is a strong advocate for human rights and equity. Ram first got elected to the Board of the Peel Regional Labour Council in 2019 and became the President in September 2022.
Ram Selvarajah has been on the Board of Trustees for OPTRUST since April 2021 and is the Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee of OPTRUST. Ram became a Trustee of UWGT as of the 2023 AGM.

Ruth Crammond is the Vice President of Community Investment & Development with responsibility for a broad range of United Way investments and agency partnerships in Community Services, as well as the place-based work in our Building Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy. She joined United Way in 2014 as the Director of Community Services and Capacity Building. In that role she oversaw the transformation to a new investment model for United Way for the largest portion of United Way investments in the community.
Ruth has many years of experience working in the community services sector in Toronto. She began her career with United Way-funded agencies, working as a summer camp counsellor at Central Neighbourhood House, and a drop-in worker in a program for homeless people at St. Christopher House. She has held several senior management roles in United Way-funded agencies, including Executive Director at Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood Centre and Director of Housing and Shelters at YWCA Toronto.

Wayne Halenda brings a depth of financial management expertise to the Board. For 30 years, he focused on capital markets and risk management in the banking industry. He is currently an independent consultant providing CFO services to entrepreneurs and business owners.
Wayne holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Wayne lives in Peel Region and has served on our Board and Finance, Risk & Audit Committee since his election in 2018. Prior to that, Wayne was a member and Treasurer at United Way of Peel Region Board of Trustees.

Ziad has extensive experience in the Investment Industry having previously worked at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for 23 years, rising to the role Chief Investment Officer (CIO) between 2018-23, where he had responsibility for overseeing the global portfolio. Among his many accomplishments, was designing the global investment strategy, launching Teachers' Venture Growth (TVG), expanding active investing across various asset classes and geographies and establishing a comprehensive climate strategy, anchored by a commitment to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Ziad earned a B.Sc. at the University of York, an M.Sc. from the University of Warwick, and is a CFA charter holder.
