Before getting into the travel business, Kiki was a passionate adventure traveler climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekking the Himalayas and Inca Trail, rafting the Zambezi, Futaleufu, and Ganges rivers, riding horses and camels in Mongolia, horses in Uruguay, bungee jumping in Zambia, photographing polar bears in the Arctic, tigers in India, the big cats throughout Africa, gorillas in Uganda, and flowers in the world's highest-altitude wildflower valley. She has camped and roughed it with the best but always ended her adventures in luxury properties... Crossing the street one day in Manhattan, Kiki was hit by a car, suffered a broken neck, had a titanium rod inserted, spent three months with a 7lb. halo screwed into her skull, followed by a year in physical therapy. Undergoing such a traumatic experience, she was determined to move closer to the great outdoors and live phase II of her life following her passions for adventure travel and photography.
