Alyssa Batten

Alyssa was born and raised in North Carolina, and now resides in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with her family and dog. She is a current college student with the hopes of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist. She has a background in retail management and childcare. As well as a strong desire to help others wherever she can, Alyssa's passion has led her to this position at Mom's in Motion. She hopes to bring her skills to help individuals to the best of her abilities.

Amber Holsinger-Staton

Amber is originally from Fredericksburg but moved from Prince George, VA a little over a year ago to Kingsport, Tennessee with her fiancé and their children. She graduated Brightpoint Community College with her Associate's in Human Services with a specialization in Pre- Social Work. She was over halfway done with her Bachelor's in Social Work from Liberty University when she had to take time away due to a sick child. Her plan is to return at some point soon to finish her bachelor's. Amber's passion comes from spending her time learning and navigating the waivers in Virginia for her own child who has autism and other major health conditions. Amber has spent time working as a paraprofessional in the schools and was a team lead at a group home for individuals with intellectual disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. Andrea O'Neil

Andrea was born in San Antonio, Texas but being a military child, she was raised all over the world. Andrea has resided in Northern Virginia since 2004 and currently lives in Sterling, VA with her boyfriend and their three kitties. Andrea is a competitive bodybuilder in the Women's Figure Division. Aside from her rigorous training schedule, she enjoys going on hikes/walks, searching for new coffee places to try with her boyfriend, and spending time with him and their fur babies. Andrea is a George Mason University Graduate and holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health and Health Education. Andrea has a passion for helping others and making a positive impact in peoples' lives. Ever since she was a 3-year-old running around in Turkey, she has always wanted to go above and beyond for those around her. Andrea has worked with a variety of different populations over the years and one thing that remained the same throughout each encounter is that she always wanted to do the most she could for them. Andrea's main goal is to help people succeed, be happy, and live life to its full potential. She wants to help those around her feel independent, empowered, confident, and hopeful and she wants to ensure that individuals have the resources and services they need to reach this point. She is extremely grateful to have the opportunity to join Moms In Motion and advocate for those in her community.

Angela Wenger

Angela was raised in the Hudson Valley, NY but has lived in Virginia for many years. She is a mother and a spouse of an active-duty service member. They are stationed in Hampton Roads. Angela has a Bachelor's degree in African and Latino Studies and her professional experiences are diverse. She has been a home visitor for an evidence-based home visiting program, represented a managed care organization, and most recently served other military families. She is excited to work with families, helping to provide resources to support their needs by stepping into an advocate role with Moms In Motion.

Angelo Melendez III

Job Titles:
  • Division Trainer
After serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Military Working Dog Handler, Angelo returned to his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to earn his undergraduate degree from Arcadia University and his graduate degree from Drexel University. He began his career as a project manager at the University of Pennsylvania Health System with a cancer education and advocacy organization. He later pursued his passion to teach, which inspired his move to Virginia teaching middle school English. Angelo quickly learned that his passion for teaching was fueled by his dedication to serving and helping children and families. He joins Moms In Motion to continue being an advocate for members of his community and to help children and families achieve the quality of life everyone deserves. Angelo now resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia with his wife, daughter and two dogs, where he enjoys tending to his flower garden, venturing through Shenandoah, and making silly faces at his daughter.

Anna Thomas

As the Outreach Manager of the largest consumer direct service facilitation company in Virginia, I'm passionate about enabling our company to grow. Our growth means that more families across the state are learning about Virginia Medicaid Waivers and gaining the resources they provide. My passion for marketing started in high school with my first retail job. My senior year while enrolled in a business class I was able to work as part of my credits towards that class. I enjoyed being able to create the store displays! My passion and leadership skills showed and I was soon promoted to associate manager where I was able to learn more about the direct impact those displays had on our sales.

Antonio Mauro

Job Titles:
  • Founder of Giovanni 's 21 Gifts
Antonio is a native of upstate New York, but has lived in Virginia Beach since 2000. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, and now a retired Naval Officer. He is the father of two beautiful children, Gisella and Giovanni. Giovanni, a prenatal diagnosis for Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) is what brought Antonio to this team. Antonio is the founder of Giovanni's 21 Gifts, a Non Profit organization that raises awareness for families who have a child with Down syndrome. He is very familiar with all waiver programs, to include military programs. Giovanni benefits from the CCC Plus Medicaid Waiver, which has given Antonio a wealth of knowledge to support other families on their journey.

April Austin

April lives in Southwest Virginia in the small town of Pound. She is a wife, mom, and bonus mom to five kiddos. She has three girls and two boys. April is the mother of a daughter with ADHD and has had to personally navigate through behavioral therapy, medications, doctor visits, IEP's, meetings, TDT services, and more. She has worked with intellectually and physically disabled clients for eight years in a group home Housing arrangement where 3-7 people with disabilities live, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Homes usually have support staff that rotate around the clock on shifts. More and day support setting. During this time, she taught BLS & First Aid as an AHA BLS CPR Instructor and was a supervisor in training, as well as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. She assisted with behavior planning, paperwork, as well as person centered reviews. She worked as a CNA prior to starting her journey working with intellectually disabled clients. She has earned her associate degree in applied sciences and plans on earning her bachelor's degree in human services and counseling. April has also volunteered for three years as a Special Olympics coach for Area 10, in outdoor sports as well as bowling. This is one of her favorite contributions so far, finding the best smiles and happiest people to surround herself with there. Her love for serving the community and helping people has led her to Moms In Motion so that she can continue helping others. She is so very excited to participate in serving the community statewide!

Ashley Wooten

Ashley lives in Buckingham, VA with her husband and daughter. She obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology from Longwood University in 2016. Ashley was a family services specialist with the local department of social services One of the largest Commonwealth agencies, partnering with 120 local departments of social services to promote the well-being of children and families statewide and ensure that thousands of the most vulnerable citizens have access to the best services and benefits available to them. More for over four years and served as a foster care and adoption worker before joining Moms In Motion. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family in her spare time. Ashley joined Moms In Motion for a new opportunity to help others obtain the services they require for their loved ones.

Bek Stone

Bek grew up and currently resides in Northern Virginia with her family. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Mary Baldwin University. Bek has a great passion for helping others and loves making a difference in their lives. Her service to others began with volunteering for various events within her church community and has blossomed into a variety of services, such as working with foster care youth, CNA work, and working as an RBT before entering the world of crisis intervention, assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental abilities. Bek also volunteers with Crisis Text Line in her spare time. She has experience with individuals with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer's, and a variety of other disabilities that include serious mental health challenges. Bek enjoys learning new things, reading, playing with her lizard (Hiccup), and exploring the great outdoors. She is so excited to be a part of the Moms in Motion team and to continue making a difference in the lives of individuals and their families.

Benita Adkins

Benita lives in Rappahannock with her son, foster sister, and nephew. She grew up the youngest of six, not realizing until she was seven that one of her brothers was actually a foster brother. At the age of 23, Benita completed training as a therapeutic foster parent. Her home was open for fostering for 16 years. In that time, she completed her Bachelor's, adopted a son, and taught school for 8 years. Benita has had the extreme privilege to learn many lessons from the children placed in her care. It wasn't until her mother became ill and she took on the responsibility of caring for her foster sister, who is diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, that she began navigating the world of waivers. In the last 4 years, Benita has learned many things that she would like to share with others about what is available to improve the quality of life of others.

Bethany Mercer

Bethany grew up in Shenandoah County and went to Roanoke College where she received a Bachelors in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work and Health Care Delivery. Bethany has a background in Social Work and worked at the Department of Social Services One of the largest Commonwealth agencies, partnering with 120 local departments of social services to promote the well-being of children and families statewide and ensure that thousands of the most vulnerable citizens have access to the best services and benefits available to them. More where her job was providing services to families to help keep the children in the home and the family together. Most recently Bethany worked in Substance Use, helping people in recovery from addiction. Bethany has two sons ages. She obtained custody of her youngest at age 2 and adopted him at age 5. He has a diagnosis of ADHD and has had an IEP A legally-binding document that sets out the rationale for providing special education supports and services to your child, specific objectives that your child is to achieve during the year, and enumerates which related services, modifications, and accommodations, if any, he or she will receive. More through the school system since the age of 3. Bethany has always lived a life of helping others and looks forward to being a part of the Moms in Motion team and continuing to provide help and resources to those who need it.

Bobbie Pennino

Bobbie was born and raised in Poquoson, Virginia but currently lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with her husband and chocolate lab, Wrangler. Bobbie studied at Liberty University where she received her bachelor's in social work. Bobbie is passionate about being a voice to the voiceless and an advocate for clients and family's needs. She has experience in ABA therapy and social services, including child protective services, adult protective services, and foster care. Bobbie prides herself on quality of care by making herself relatively available, offering a listening ear, and consistently building rapport with her clients. In her off time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and dog, watching a good TV series or sports, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Brianna Stacy

Brianna was born and raised in Southwest VA, in the small town of Hurley. She still resides a few minutes away in Grundy with her fiancé and their fur baby, Sammy. Brianna attended Southwest Virginia Community College where she received her degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and had the pleasure of working with many individuals needing assistance. Brianna enjoys making a difference and helping others. She believes Moms in Motion is a wonderful place to do so and hopes to help many families during her time with the company.

Cael Bass

Cael graduated from Hollins University with a bachelor's degree in English and Classical Studies. Following graduation, he spent several years working as a Direct Support Professional and Activities Facilitator in group homes Housing arrangement where 3-7 people with disabilities live, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Homes usually have support staff that rotate around the clock on shifts. More for adults with intellectual disabilities. After taking a break to pursue a career in photography, he is excited to be coming back into a field where kindness and compassion are at the forefront of helping families every day. In his spare time, he enjoys continuing his work in photography, writing, and reading way too many books.

Cassady Bower

Cassady Bower has been married to her husband for over four years and is a huge animal person, especially with dogs, and has a French Bulldog with whom she is obsessed. She is from Lynchburg, VA where she and her husband own a men's clothing store and a coffee shop. She began as an elementary education major with a minor in special needs but changed her degree as a freshman due to the competitive nature of the program and later graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising. Cassady has always been very compassionate, wanting to help others any way that she can. She loves the Moms In Motion mission statement and what they have to offer for people who are struggling to find resources. She is excited to be a part of a team who works together to benefit peoples' lives. Cassady has grown up around people with disabilities and is very prepared to help those who may be struggling. She has seen how this job has impacted her mom (who also works with Moms), and she is ready to share that experience.

Charlene Tucker

Charlene is a mother of two and has worked with adult people with intellectual disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. She earned an Associate's degree in Applied Science as well as a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Human Services. Charlene also obtained a certification in Human Service Management. She enjoys arts, crafts, and DIY projects.

Chasity Sanchez

Chasity is a dedicated mother. As her youngest daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, she is passionate about building awareness and inclusion Practices and policies designed to identify and remove barriers such as physical, communication, and attitudinal, that hamper a person's ability to have full participation in society, the same as people without disabilities. for people with disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. Chastity Frazier

Chastity previously worked as a driver for Augusta County for fourteen years transporting children with special needs to and from school. She developed special bonds between the children she transported, as well as with their parents. She was always encouraged when she saw the great progress they made from year to year - and even day to day.

Chevelle Williams

Chevelle is a native of New Jersey and currently resides in Fredericksburg, VA. She is a mother of three and grandmother of three, whom she adores. Chevelle is a graduate of Thomas Edison State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She worked for many years for the Department of Children and Families. Chevelle loved servicing families that were at risk. Chevelle joined Moms In Motion because of her passion for children with disabilities, psychological, psychiatric, and behavioral issues. It brings her great joy to see a smile on every child's face. In her free time, she loves to read, do puzzles, cook, bake and - most of all - spend time with her family.

Courtney Howell

Courtney lives in the Fredericksburg area with her husband and two children. When her son was born with several complicated medical diagnoses, she found herself navigating State and Local Aid systems for his continuum of care. The benefits afforded under the Virginia Long Term Service and Support waivers fulfilled a valuable need for her son and today those benefits afford him a better quality of life. This personal experience gave inspiration to serve others seeking access to waiver supports and resources. Courtney has been active in the Healthcare field since 2007. She found her passion in serving others with different abilities and complex needs. She was excited when a career opportunity to work with Moms In Motion presented itself so she could help other individuals and families become self-sufficient and maximize benefits as needs are identified. Courtney has 11 years of experience in the Home and Community Based Waiver system with four years professional experience in Service Facilitation. She is an expert at services navigation to ensure individuals receive the necessary supports to continue to thrive and accomplish their individual goals. Courtney has served in many roles in her community to assist others, including leadership roles in her local Special Education Specifically designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. Dana Carlton

Dana is a native Virginian. She earned her bachelor (business) and master (education) degrees from the University of Virginia and spent 30 years serving the disability community in public and private school settings in Virginia and Wyoming. Dana was raised alongside a person with disabilities and feels passionate about helping all people to live a meaningful and rewarding life. The mother of two adult children, she also understands the pressure that families feel in striving for the best outcomes for their loved ones. Dana enjoys reading, movies, hiking, and volunteering at her church.

Danielle Allen

She has been a nurse since 2006 stepped out of the nursing field to further education in Human Services and advocate for individuals hoping to improve their quality of life. In 2015 she had her daughter prematurely and she was diagnosed with developmental delays A disability (in physical, cognitive, communication, social, emotional, or adaptive development) affecting children ages two through six. More, and her journey having a child with special needs began. She educated herself and reached out to local agencies to help her and her daughter receive the services they needed. She graduated in 2017 From Tidewater Community College with an Associate Degree of Applied Science with a major of Human Services then continued my education and obtained her Bachelor of Science with a Major in Human Services. She has worked in behavioral health and intervention for many years working in homes with children with Autism. She has worked with both adults and children with special needs in many different settings and capacities for many years. She is currently waiting for her License to become a Qualified Mental Health Professional for children. She looks forward to servicing and advocating for her clients and the community.

Destiney Crawley

Destiney is the mother of two young girls and a U.S. Army veteran. Prior to working as a Service Facilitator, she worked as an office manager for a large paving company. She has a bachelor's degree in the Human Services field and she is also interested in studying nursing.

Elaina Realmuto

Elaina received her BSW from Radford University with the goal of using her experiences to help others. Her previous work experience has been in the field of addiction, meals on wheels, and mental health skill building. Elaina has personal experience with waivers as a mother of an adult child with autism. She is excited about her future with Moms in Motion and looking forward to helping other recipients with her knowledge of the process from a parent's point of view.

Elisabeth Kadlec

Elisabeth lives in Midlothian, VA with her husband and three kids. Her oldest child was born with Spina Bifida and has had a challenging life of medical needs along with social and mental disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. The ADA also makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person based on that person's association with a person with a disability. More. Elisabeth found Moms In Motion when they moved to Virginia and applied for a waiver program. Realizing what a blessing MOMS was, she decided to join the team and help others in need of support. When not working and being a mom all day, you will find her hidden in her sewing room, quilting.

Elizabeth Buda

Lyzz is originally from Richmond but moved to Norfolk while attending Old Dominion University as an undergraduate. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a Minor in Communications from Old Dominion University. She began working in the human services field shortly after graduation and has been employed in various jobs assisting clients with mental health, behavior management and obtaining needed community supports. Lyzz went on to obtain her master's degree in education and has been a licensed special education Specifically designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. teacher for the last 15 years. Lyzz is a huge advocate for her students and their families and is excited to support families outside of the classroom environment. Lyzz is also the mother of twins and loves to spend time with her family at the beach, riding dirt bikes and conducting community outreach.

Emily Fox

Emily currently resides in Southwest Virginia, where she was born and raised. She moved to Georgia in 2016 and then moved back to VA in 2020 when COVID-19 hit to be with her family. Emily and her wife have a visually impaired cat named Juniper and a snake named Valentine. Although they do not have kids of their own, they have nine nieces and have discussed the possibility of fostering. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, baking, and crocheting. Emily comes from a large family and is a particularly family-oriented individual. When she found out about Moms In Motion and their goal to provide help and resources to families in need, she knew she would be a good fit. Jennifer is a local of Front Royal, VA, who is currently enjoying life with her partner and young son. She is one of several caretakers for her grandmother and has first-hand experience with navigating the Medicaid system. She is passionate about helping others get through this process and strives to provide a high level of compassion and customer service for all clients of Moms In Motion.

Girlie Bautista

Girlie, a registered nurse in New York and the mother of two adult children living in Maryland, gained critical care nursing experience working in different hospitals. Her greatest passion is serving her community and advocating for families with disabilities and complex needs. She feels committed to helping others in a non-clinical way by navigating the services Moms In Motion can provide families. She has personal experience caring for children with behavioral disabilities and patients with mental illnesses/diseases. Girlie knows that no single approach is right for every individual, so her nursing training/experience will guide her in this new field. She loves traveling and tennis.

Halie Hoover

Halie resides in Rockingham County with her loving husband and three amazing children. Her passion for helping others was sparked in her teen years while caring for her younger brothers who were left with severe physical and psychological disabilities after a horrific accident. She joined Moms In Motion shortly after her youngest child was diagnosed with ADHD and an impulse control disorder. Halie has a degree in Health Sciences and spent the first decade of her career as a nurse in a local family practice. She spends her free time writing poetry, trying to spread joy to others, and cheering at little league games.

Holly Huffman

Holly graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a minor in integrative health and wellness. After graduation, she moved to Roanoke, VA and worked at a homeless shelter/ recovery center called the Rescue Mission. She is recently married and moved to Moms In Motion in order to spend time with her husband while still helping those in need. She loves people and believes everyone deserves to be seen and heard. She is a fun and joy loving women who enjoys crafting, running, and socializing in her free time.

Ileana Mungro

Ileana lives in Loudoun County with her four children, two girls and two boys. Of which, her boys are fraternal twins and are both autistic. She obtained her Bachelors from George Mason University with a concentration in Communication, Public Relations and minor in Information Technology. She obtained her MBA from the University of Maryland. Her background includes management of over 16 years in the transportation industry. Ultimately, Ileana has found her passion for helping others. Especially, sharing her knowledge and experiences with other parents who have faced some of the same obstacles and blessings that she has experienced since becoming a parent of children with special needs. When she started this journey within this organization, her wish was to obtain as much knowledge as she could and to be a catalyst for upstanding programs and platforms that would empower others who have loved ones dependant upon their care. She was grateful to be afforded the opportunity to tap into a network of support and community on a matter she has passion for. She is excited to use every opportunity to pay it forward.

Iliana Fernandez

Iliana Fernandez draws from her diverse background of over 14 years of experience working in public service. She holds a master's in music therapy from Shenandoah University and is a board-certified music therapist with experience in pediatric mental health and school classroom settings. Prior to this, Iliana graduated from George Mason University with a dual bachelor's degree in music and psychology while working as a private teacher for viola and violin students. She is passionate about helping others and strives to build meaningful relationships for client success. Iliana is from Puerto Rico and is heritage fluent in Spanish. She looks forward to assisting families in Loudoun County with her unique background which has led her to working with Moms In Motion.

James Kile

James worked in public education for 21 years, the last 10 serving as a school administrator. During this time he worked with students with emotional disorders, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. The next phase of his professional life involved serving as a behavior clinician for families of children with autism. James's last professional role involved working as a career coach for a program that focused on helping those living in poverty obtain funds and resources to pursue careers in the health care field. After a brief period away to help deal with family health issues, he is excited to have the opportunity to use his experience helping people to overcome the hurdles of life. James has three children (a son in college at James Madison University, a son entering his senior year in high school, and a daughter entering seventh grade),

Jasmine Brown

While completing her undergrad in psychology, Jasmine found her passion for advocacy and helping others. After completing her degree, she found herself in the world of ABA and providing services to children with developmental disabilities. Though it was a wonderful learning experience, she was not content internally with her effect on the world. After careful consideration she discovered Moms In Motion. Based on the description and a bit of research, she found what she had been dreaming of doing - advocating and providing assistance to those in need.

Jeneen Butler

Jeneen is a native of Fredericksburg, VA. She graduated from Stafford Senior High School and from there went on to receive her Certified Nursing Assistant license, Medical Assistant license, Medication Aide license, and last but certainly not least, her Bachelor's of Science in Health Science from South University in Richmond, VA. She is an organist for her church and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, Alpha Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter with whom she is very active in the community. Jeneen applied for Moms In Motion because she has been in the health care field for many years. She felt like it was time to take her talents and degree and apply them to a health care position where she is still helping to care for others. However, instead of concentrating on one population, she now has the opportunity to help people of all ages. Jeneen looks forward to this new journey with Moms In Motion and being able to help better serve her community.

Jennie Ferguson

Jennie graduated from Ashford University with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in behavioral science. Following graduation, she has worked with children with autism and other disabilities. She lives in Collinsville, VA where she has a family with two children. She has a passion to help people and a love for advocating for her clients. She is always smiling and/or giggling. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her children, including her fur babies. She also enjoys gaming, crafting, and buying far too many plants.

Jennifer Crump

Jennifer has over 30 years of working on various projects including 15 years as a contractor for the Army, several years serving as the office manager of a small local museum, a private Montessori school substitute teacher and, most recently, the last two years as a caregiver. She is a mom of two boys that keeps her on her toes and busy! Her youngest was recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and that comes with a lot of learning. Jennifer comes from a large family (6 brothers and 4 sisters). She was born and raised here in Virginia and loves the beach, collecting shells and sea glass. When she has time, reading is her favorite pastime. She loves serving and caring for others, and making people happy gives her great joy.

Jennifer Dye

Jennifer lives in Woodbridge with her two sons and cats. When she is not working she is scrapbooking, working in her yard, and spending time with her family and friends. She has a Master's degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University as well as a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from George Mason University. Jennifer has worked as a special education preschool teacher for many years. She also works with the Special Olympics as the medical coordinator. Jennifer was introduced to a service facilitation company when she and her son needed assistance quickly. Her son's service facilitator helped so much, Jennifer realized she wanted to help other families the same way. She is always advocating for her son and she looks forward to continuing her work with families to provide resources that will help bring stability to their lives.

Jennifer Young

Jennifer was born and raised in California, and relocated to the beautiful Shenandoah County where she has resided since 2016. She graduated with her BA in Psychology from California State Dominguez Hills. Jennifer has a continuing growing passion in the world of helping those with disabilities. In the past, she has worked in a wide array of different areas, from working with the elderly in assisted living residences, to one on one care with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. She hopes to utilize her past experiences within the field to further enrich the lives of others, and is excited to be part of the Moms In Motion team.

Jenny Estes

Jenny lives in the Roanoke area with her two amazing children. She has a heart for service to others and a passion for advocacy for those who need a voice. Jenny earned a Master's in Counseling from the University of Memphis and has worked with children and families as a preschool teacher at a local non-profit serving ELL families and as a school counselor in public schools. When Jenny's oldest child was diagnosed with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder, her heart and passion grew to include the special needs community. She was introduced to Moms In Motion through the local special families and Autism groups. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys game nights, crocheting, and traveling. She also loves to volunteer at her church and at her children's school.

Jeri Horne

Having grown up with a sibling on the Autism spectrum, Jeri's commitment to compassionate care is deeply rooted. Jeri was drawn to Moms In Motion by their mission, seeing it as an opportunity to blend her professional acumen with her heartfelt dedication to supporting families. Outside of work, Jeri treasures moments with her husband and kids, placing a high value on family bonds.

Judy Shreve

Judy has lived in the Hampton Roads area her whole life. She is the mother of five children, two of which have complex medical needs due to their Autism and Osteogenesis Imperfecta diagnoses. Judy has a bachelor's degree in science with a major in Healthcare Administration. She has served families with waiver services for 20 years throughout the Hampton Roads area. Judy is excited to work with families, providing support and resources to help them achieve their levels of independence as well as family self-sufficiency Ability to meet one's own needs without external assistance; or extreme confidence in one's own resources, powers, etc..

Julie Harless

Julie is a single mom of two sons. They live a simple life in the Appalachian foothills of southwest Virginia. Having been a native to the area, the personality and ambition she has about life would make anyone feel they were in good hands. In her spare time, she has an interest in spending time with family and folks that she holds close in her life. She decided to join the Moms in Motion team when she noticed how their mission was to help others. Kristie lives in Front Royal, VA with her husband, Tim, and son, Hayden. She is a CNA who has worked with Alzheimer's and dementia patients in both facility and home care environments. In that time, she has seen the struggles people have faced to provide care for their family members. She joined Moms in Motion to help families find the resources they need to get the best quality care for their loved ones. She looks forward to assisting clients and providing them with the support and care they deserve.

Katasha Roberson

Katasha was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. The U.S. Navy is what brought her and her family to Virginia. Katasha has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University. She has been a teacher assistant in Virginia Public Schools, working with students with disabilities. She is married to her childhood sweetheart of twenty-four years. Her greatest inspiration is her four daughters. She enjoys crafting, DIY projects and planning events. Katasha's passion for individuals with disabilities is what drew her to Moms In Motion. She is excited to help as many families as she can.

Kelly Robertson

Kelly lives in Salem, VA with her husband and two children. She graduated from Miller-Motte Technical College with an associate's degree of Occupational Science in Medical Assisting. Following graduation, she spent over two years working as a Direct Support Professional in group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities and behavioral disorders. Over the past six years she has worked as a medical assistant treating adults and children with different orthopedic issues as well as neurological disorders. Kelly is excited to get to be in a more hands-on position to help families through the services of Moms in Motion.

Kimberly Flory

Kimberly has worked in the mental health field and with the ID/DD population. She worked at a residential facility with abused and neglected children ages 5 to 14 and then in a residential facility with troubled/at-risk teens ages 14 to 19. Kimberly served as a DSP, an assistant manager, and a group home manager in the group home setting for ID/DD individuals. She also functioned as an in-home skill building counselor for those experiencing mental health issues as well as ID/DD. Kimberly is currently working towards her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with the goal of becoming an LPC. On a personal note, Kimberly is a mom to three amazing children, with her favorite being her fourth child - a Boxer pup named Bailey. Kimberly enjoys video games, camping, and reading in her spare time.

Kristy lives in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with her children and five pets. Her background includes many years of finance, healthcare, and non-profit experience and education. Kristy has a special place in her heart for children and adults with special needs as she has multiple family members who require ongoing one-on-one care. Being involved with an agency that exists to advocate for and provide resources to families like hers is one of the reasons she came to Moms In Motion.

Krista Hines

Krista is a Virginia native and a current resident of Suffolk. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical Mathematics from Norfolk State University. After years of teaching mathematics on the collegian level, she is extremely excited to join the Moms In Motion team where she can serve her community in another capacity. Krista is a heart-filled giver who loves to make people smile. Self-proclaimed holiday queen and real-life math professor! Krista is an outgoing and very determined person. She never lets anything beat her. Krista is blessed with a wonderful husband, twin boys, and a grandson that she loves so dearly. She loves to gather with family and friends for any occasion.

Krystal is a mother of two from a small town in North Carolina. She was a cosmetologist for a little over a decade before joining Moms In Motion. Her eldest loves to sing and recite her favorite movies, as well as drawing and sewing clothing for her dolls. Her son is a huge fanatic of football and is obsessed with Patrick Mahomes. In 2018, Krystal's daughter was diagnosed with ASD. Moms In Motion sparked an interest in her because she knows how valuable it is to find the right resources for your loved ones.

Lakeisha West

Lakeisha West is a dedicated professional with over 12 years of experience in mental health and working with intellectually and developmentally disabled populations. Born and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia, Lakeisha is a compassionate advocate for those who often go unheard. Her commitment to being a voice for those without one has made her an invaluable asset in various roles within the sector.

Lakisha McGaney-Osei

Born into the BRATLife in South Carolina, Lakisha McGaney-Osei proudly grew up as a military child of an Army servicemen with her two siblings. She credits her ability to adapt and integrate into new environments to her resilient upbringing as a military brat who experienced living in five states, two countries and attending 17 schools (including four high schools in three years) by the time she was 21. The relationships that have been built and maintained for over 35 years have allotted her the opportunity to engage and encounter people from all walks of life and abilities. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she ended up relocating to the DC Metro area in 2002 and spent many of those years in Alexandria and Fairfax County in Northern VA. Her work experience primarily includes working with non-profit organizations, parks and recreation, the hospitality industry and school health. She still treasures her time serving as one of the first classes of AmeriCorps members in the Twin Cities and is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Lakisha is also a 5-time author and enjoys writing poetry, doing wellness collaborations, and encouraging others to Go Be Great. She is excited to join the Moms In Motion family and comes with the experience of having been a Long-term Care EDCD Services Facilitator pre-covid; she served families in Manassas, Prince William and Fauquier County, VA. Lakisha found this to be one of her most rewarding jobs to date, but the need to focus on her own child's special needs at the time impacted her decision to transition to something closer to home. She is excited to be back in this rewarding and very necessary role and looks forward to being a resource and trusted ally for her families and colleagues. Lakisha currently resides just north of the bridge in Prince George's County, MD where she enjoys walking and hiking in the local parks and trails. She is the mother of three lovelies, as she calls them. Being an empty nester is right around the corner.

Lanny Rooney

Lanny resides in the Boones Mill area of Virginia with her amazing husband, three beautiful children, two dogs, and two cats. Lanny has an extensive background in retail management, HR, and home design/project management. She has a strong desire to serve others and make a difference in people's lives. Lanny is very excited to bring her skills and passion into her position here at Moms in Motion where she will be able to continue to grow and serve others.

Latrice Mayes

Latrice Mayes has a love for helping people and that is what led her to Moms In Motion. She worked for the health department and owned a daycare for over five years, before attending nursing school to expand her knowledge of how to care for others. Latrice is a wife, a mother of six, and has authored two books. As a person with a loving and kind nature, it is her desire to ensure that everyone she encounters will know that hope, joy, and peace are available to them if they want it.

Lauren Filippone

Lauren was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. She worked full time caring for children until she started a family of her own and moved to Virginia Beach in 2009. She loves children and now has four of her own. When her youngest son was diagnosed with autism, Lauren dedicated her time to advocating for him to get the services he needs. It was through this personal experience and multiple years of caring for children with disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. Lindsey Allen

Lindsey has lived in just about every region of the Commonwealth. She holds a Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration from Mary Baldwin University and has served as an Assistant Director of Admissions, as well as a Social Services Coordinator for a large healthcare organization. While her professional endeavors have offered many distinctive, edifying experiences, Lindsey's most important role has been as a mother. With one child having been diagnosed with Autism at a very young age, Lindsey was eager to learn the ins-and-outs of Early Intervention Supports and services to infants and toddlers from birth through age two who are not developing as expected or who have a medical condition that can delay normal development. Often focused on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities that are important to the family, and on helping parents and other caregivers know how to find ways to help the child learn during everyday activities., specialized services, and other developmentally supportive benefits that aided in raising a specially-abled child. With a belief that accessible, sustainable support can encourage and empower, coupled with a passion for social equity, Lindsey desires to "be good and do good" in every facet of her personal and professional life.

Lisa Jameson

After teaching, mentoring and managing for many years with the federal Head Start A national child development program for children from birth to age 5 which provides comprehensive education, health, nutrition, dental, mental health, social services and parent involvement opportunities to low-income children and their families. human services program, Lisa had to leave the profession that she loved in order to care for her ailing parents. This type of work offered her a new set of challenges that she came to realize others were facing on a daily basis - most of whom do not have the knowledge of or know how to complete forms to receive resources that may be available to them. Through research, Lisa found out about Moms In Motion, and begin to realize that she could begin a new adventure assisting others, like her parents, who are in need.

Lisa Reynolds

Lisa is a native of Staunton, VA. She was first introduced to the world of Medicaid waivers when her best friend, who was like a brother to her, became disabled after an illness. Trying to find help for her friend, Lisa contacted a high school classmate who was a Case Manager with a local hospital and thus began their journey. She was a caregiver for her friend for almost nine years. After his passing, Lisa went on to serve other clients and to join Moms In Motion as a Family Resource Specialist. Lisa knows first hand how the program makes it possible for people to live in the comfort of their own surroundings, to be active in their community, to empower their lives, and to enrich the lives of all the people with whom they come in contact. Lisa does her best to help other families receive the help they need as a way to honor the memory of her dear friend.

Makishla Johnson

Makishla Johnson is a native of the Hampton Roads area. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work. She is married, the mother of three, and the legal guardian of a special needs child. She enjoys learning from others and serving in her community. In her spare time, she enjoys reading books on the topics of nutrition and religion.

Mary is a former military dependent A dependent is someone who is sustained by another person, such as a child supported by his or her parents. More who was born in Germany and permanently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and her large, blended family. In Mary's spare time, she loves going to the beach, watching her sons' sporting events, reading, attending her daughter's wheelchair basketball games, and spending quality time with her beautiful grandchildren. While Mary has always had the drive to lend a helping hand, the passion became more personal when her daughter was born with cerebral palsy. Mary is remarkably familiar with the obstacles and stress that one can encounter with a special needs child. Throughout her daughter's life, she never knew there were so many resources available, nor did she think that her daughter would qualify for selected programs, until she came across Moms In Motion (MIM). Her goal as she begins her journey with MIM is to educate, promote advocacy, and empower people with the knowledge regarding the various Medicaid waivers available for the elderly and those with disabilities, so that they can be an advocate for themselves or their family members. There is nothing more fulfilling than to see a person obtain the support and care they deserve to live a healthy and happy life.

Maura White

Maura was born and raised in upstate New York. She moved to Charlottesville, VA in 2003 for better weather and new scenery. She earned her Bachelor's in Human Development from Binghamton University. Maura has over 15 years' experience working with families providing person-centered services in their homes. She is looking forward to being part of the Moms In Motion team, and sharing her knowledge and experience with the families she will be serving.

Megan Burge

Megan was born in raised in North Central West Virginia. While her family still resides there, she relocated to Charlottesville in 2011 to attend UVA. After graduation, Megan stayed in Virginia and built a life for herself. She currently lives on a 20-acre farm in the Shenandoah Valley with her 2 children, 3 dogs, cattle, and chickens. Megan loves the outdoors and being with family. She enjoys cooking and hosting holiday dinners and celebrations. She has worked in healthcare since she was 21 and has always found passion in helping others through her work. Megan hopes to continue to be a source of help and hope for those in need in her role at Moms In Motion. Megan is happily married to her husband, Chris, and has been blessed with two active boys. She has been very active in the special needs community for years and has been watching family advocacy grow within Roanoke. Megan is heavily involved with her children's extracurricular activities, therapies, and activities within the community. Megan is excited to be a part of the Moms In Motion family, as well as help educate and encourage other families in the ever-growing special needs community.

Mickey Sparks

Mickey Sparks resides in Franklin County Virginia. She is a wife, mother to three beautiful daughters, and is excited about becoming a grandmother. She enjoys spending time with her family and their many pets and animals. She loves helping others and is excited about her position with Moms In Motion because she truly feels she will make a difference. She previously worked at a medical staffing agency after working at Blue Ridge Behavioral Health where she served children and adults of all ages with needs ranging from crisis, detox, and mental illness. She is very passionate about other peoples' needs and will always go the extra mile for her clients.

Molly Dunivan

She earned a bachelor's degree in liberal studies with a minor in sociology at Longwood University and continued her education focusing on special education Specifically designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability., with a concentration in the blind and visually impaired. She returned to the valley to start her career serving both children and adults with disabilities The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a person with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity. This includes people who have a record of such an impairment, even if they do not currently have a disability. It also includes people who do not have a disability but are regarded as having a disability. More and has been proudly serving these populations for over 10 years. Molly also serves as the Vice President of The Moore Education Trust Fund, assisting educators in opening doors for student creativity through STEM. She currently resides with her husband and two children in the Shenandoah Valley. Molly enjoys educating, advocating, and empowering the underserved populations of the valley. She is excited to join Moms In Motion and to continue providing advocacy and services for our families in need.

Nakita Conley

Nakita is a hardworking mother who worked two full time jobs with no days off to take care of her son. She loves reading books and working out to relieve stress. She received her B.S.W from Rutgers and was immediately hired at her internship placement. She was promoted to unit supervisor within two years on the job. Tired of the city life, she decided to make some changes. Her original plan was to move to North Carolina but when she got engaged, her plans changed. She decided to relocate back to Virginia with her fiancé after her son graduated from high school and came across Moms In Motion in her transition from New Jersey.

Olivia Dillon

Olivia was born and raised in the historically quaint Yorktown, Virginia. She attended Radford University where she earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice with concentrations in sociology and gender, race, and ethnic studies. After graduation, she moved to Charlottesville and shortly thereafter landed at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail as a correctional officer. She later became the Director of Programs where she was able to research, implement and coordinate evidence-based programming. Olivia has served on the Board of Directors and held board chair positions for two local non-profits: Georgia's Friends Inc. and Hope is Everything Inc. She considers herself to be an advocate for the underserved community and serves with a heart for Christ. Olivia is excited to join the team at Moms In Motion to provide services for local families and advocate for their needs.

Paris Wilson

Paris was born and raised in Rockbridge County, Virginia. She earned her associate degree in nursing in 2012 from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and her bachelor's degree from Western Governor's University in 2020. After a rewarding 12-year career as a nurse, Paris is ready to serve her community in a different capacity, while still helping and advocating for those with disabilities. Paris enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters and being outdoors as much as possible. She enjoys exploring new trails, taking weekend trips out of town, and crafting.

Patricia Lloyd

Patricia is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Human Service Counseling, as well as a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Patricia loves children and helping others in any way that she can. She feels that it is truly her purpose in life to be a blessing to others. Having worked with children with disabilities in a group home Housing arrangement where 3-7 people with disabilities live, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Homes usually have support staff that rotate around the clock on shifts. More setting and having a godson who has Autism, Patricia knows firsthand the challenges and obstacles families face. When she saw how much of a blessing Moms In Motion was for her godson and his family, she knew that she wanted to be a part of this incredible organization.

Patricia Spurlock

Patricia was born in Annapolis, Maryland and raised in Gloucester, Virginia; she is a proud mother of two boys. Patricia earned her associate degree in healthcare management in June 2010 and is working on acquiring her bachelor's degree in social work; she has over seven years of experience working with families, children, and adolescents. Patricia has a passion for making a positive difference in people's lives and finds her position fulfilling, as it allows her to share her knowledge with families. Patricia loves visiting the beach with her family, where she can watch the sun rise or set over the water. She also loves shopping, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying life. Patricia deeply appreciates music and believes there is a song for every occasion; she never misses a chance to dance.

Rebekah Cassada

Rebekah grew up in northern Virginia until college brought her to Lynchburg where she attended Liberty University to get her bachelor's in public health promotion. She continues to reside there and enjoys all the seasons that Virginia brings. Rebekah has been a nanny for almost ten years, working with kids with disabilities; she enjoys seeing the progress they and their families make. She also has medical experience in long-term care, disability, and many other areas. When Rebekah is not working, she loves to hang out with family and friends, play guitar, watch Netflix, and go on spontaneous adventures. She can't wait to work with you and bring a smile to your face.

Robyn Bailey

Robyn is a mother to three boys and her husband is active duty in the Army. Robyn's youngest son was diagnosed with Autism in 2014 and she has devoted her time to advocating for him and other children just like him. Robyn's son has been on the CCC+ waiver and clients of Moms in Motion since 2014 and she wants to help others learn the program and ways to best help their children and family members. Her family is very active; in their free time, they can often be found on the basketball court, baseball field, bike riding, at the beach, or swimming in the pool. Robyn is looking forward to helping families like you while navigating this journey.

Saba Zadran

Saba Zadran is from Maryland and has spent most of her life in Northern Virginia. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University and has worked in an Andrology and Immulite lab, as well as working part time as a certified Real Estate Appraiser on the side. Saba also cares for her parents (unfortunately her father passed from a brain stroke) and has many experiences with people with disabilities and health issues. She has been a stay-at-home mother and wife for the past 10 years, dedicating and sacrificing her life to her two beautiful daughters and parents. Saba truly believes in giving empathy, care, and love and that it is worth sacrificing her own desires for her loved ones. She loves what she does and is passionate about her job and responsibilities. They are very rewarding in the end and that is what it truly matters to her.

Samantha Clatterbuck

Samantha was born and raised in Rappahannock County VA, after graduating high school she enrolled in cosmetology school where she obtained her license for cosmetology. She then moved to Warren County VA with the man she now calls her husband and father to their beautiful daughter. While working full time in a hair salon Samantha also began working part time as a care attendant for a child with special needs. Samia Masood

Samia is a service facilitator for the area of Centreville. She has been an educational consultant professional who facilitates hands-on training and workshops in the areas of empathy, cultural competency, diversity recruitment and more. With a Master of Teaching, Samia's early career began in childhood education where she taught math and reading for at-risk student populations. She later launched her own consulting firm, Think and Teach, where she consistently provided organizations with customized scripts and learning plans while executing research based best practices. Samia is certified in social and emotional learning and sustainability and completed post-graduate certification in Educational Leadership. She has been a guest contributor to The New York Times and an educational consultant on MSNBC. Samia has a passion for Childhood Cancer advocacy work and is currently serving on the medical advisory board of A Moment of Magic.

Sandra Michelli

Sandra is a single mother of five wonderful children and an adorable granddaughter. Her four youngest children have some sort of special need. Her youngest daughter has hydrocephalus, a seizure disorder, and is non-verbal and wheelchair bound. She has taught Sandra what determination and persistence really means. Over the past nineteen years, Sandra has advocated for her children and their needs. Sandra has a Bachelor's of Science in Management from Phoenix University and is currently working on obtaining her Master's in Secondary Education. She looks forward to working with other families through Moms In Motion, helping them receive the services that they need.

Sara Heatwole

Sara currently lives in Warrenton, VA. She has a bachelor's in history from Roanoke College and obtained her Paralegal General Practice Certificate from Duquesne University's School of Law. Sara has worked for multiple years in elementary school-level special education classrooms and in a law firm as a paralegal. She has always been passionate about assisting the special needs community, as the older sister of a brother with autism whom she loves with her whole heart. Through her brother, she has experience with the Fauquier County Transitions Program and the local Special Olympics community. Sara is also a lover of animals, and her home is filled with a wide array of pets! Sarah Cunningham

Sarah chose to work for Moms In Motion because she was impressed with the help they provided while serving her son. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and helping others in the same way. The paperwork involved in the waiver process can seem daunting and she is thankful for the opportunity to help others navigate their way through.

Selene Porter

Selene was raised in Portland, Oregon and recently moved to Virginia. She is a single mom of four kids and her dog Coco. Her son became diagnosed with IDD, since then she has been looking for more ways to help her son with his disability. She chose to work for Moms in Motion because she loves to serve others and enjoys being able to share what she has learned with the others. She knows how hard it can be to start a new journey with a disability and wants to be able to help others to understand the path she is still learning. Selene previously worked for the school district helping kids that struggled with learning encouraging them to do their best and believe in themselves, she also worked in the medical field as a Medical Assistant and continues going to school. She loves her family and she is very excited to start this new journey with Moms in Motion.

Shelly Foldesi


Sherri Jenkins

Sherri is a native of Culpeper and has been a foster parent with Social Services since 2001. She has three children, the youngest child was adopted through the Foster Care Program. She has learned firsthand with her adopted daughter and the placement of other children in her home the challenges that can come from not knowing local resources that are available to support the needs of a child with disabilities. Sherri has experience working with the public schools when creating and updating Individualized Education Programs, building working relationships with Case Managers, and advocating for services to meet the needs of those who have a disability. She has worked in a correctional setting for many years while earning her BS in Business Management. Sherri also served as a Girl Scout Leader for the Culpeper Service Unit for many years and was dedicated to providing new learning opportunities and challenges to the children in her troops.

Stefanie Smith

Stefanie was born and raised in Frederick County, VA and has decided to raise her family there as well. She has been married to her husband since 2011 and they are now a family of 6. They have 4 beautiful children - three boys and a girl who keeps them on their toes. When I am not at work you can usually find me at a ball field, basketball court, or gymnastics gym. Stefanie has worked in healthcare for the majority of her working history. Volunteering and working with the community are some of her biggest passions. With her knowledge of healthcare, customer services, and passion for community service, working with Moms in Motion came as an easy decision.

Susan Mothersole

For years, Susan has been an advocate for her daughter who has multiple developmental disabilities and complex medical issues. This experience makes her uniquely qualified to build rapport and trust with families in similar situations. As a Moms In Motion team member, Susan brings her knowledge, experience, and sensitivity to the job of helping others navigate the complex process of supporting those with special needs.

Tammy Pendleton

Tammy lives in Louisa County where she was born and raised. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and is currently working on her Master's Degree in Leadership Development. Tammy was introduced to helping people with disabilities when her father suffered from a stroke and was left paralyzed on one side. She quickly became a caretaker for her father along with her mom and witnessed firsthand how a family's day to day activities can be forever changed. Tammy is extremely excited to become a part of Moms in Motion and is looking forward to servicing many families in her surrounding area.

Tayler Mckinney

Tayler lives in southwest Virginia, where she grew up. She loves to go on walks, read, spend time with her family, and animals. She has two dogs and a rabbit whom she spoils and loves to no end. She is passionate about helping others and strives to ensure that she does everything that she can to assist those in need. She joined the Moms In Motion team so that she could help people and to use her work experience to assist others.

Taylore Adams

Job Titles:

Taylore is from Hampton Roads, VA. She has been in the medical field for over 11 years and has worked with MCOs, PPOs, and commercial insurance plans. She enjoys music and taking pictures of nature, and you can usually find her somewhere dancing or meditating outside in the grass. She was brought to Moms In Motion through her joy of learning from others and helping them become their best.

Tia Haywood

Tia was born and raised in Nelson County, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a Minor in Sociology from Old Dominion University. She is the mother of two. In 2019, she delivered her son who was diagnosed with Arthrogryposis and developmental delays. It was through this journey that she became her son's biggest advocate and was introduced to Moms In Motion. Tia has always enjoyed helping people navigate through the difficulties of life and helping them in finding "their voice". She looks forward to helping families in her community.

Tigist Gebremariam

Tigist was born and raised in Nazareth, Ethiopia. She came to the United States in 2014 and lived in New Mexico and Georgia before making her move to Alexandria, Virginia in 2021. She received her bachelor's degree in database management systems from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was introduced to the special needs community care system because of her son's needs. She is very good at exploring resources and sharing them with those who really need them. Tigist enjoys spending time with her family and close friends.

Tina Browning

Tina lives in the small town of Wise, Virginia. She has two beautiful children, Alexandria and Jacob. Tina graduated with her Bachelor's in Human Services from Lindsey Wilson College in 2010. She would like to further her education by working on her Master's in Counseling. In the past, she worked at Kid's Central Inc., a local head start A national child development program for children from birth to age 5 which provides comprehensive education, health, nutrition, dental, mental health, social services and parent involvement opportunities to low-income children and their families. program, for almost twelve years as an early head start home visitor. Through this position, she had the opportunity to work with families of children with special needs. Tina is excited about beginning a new adventure with Moms In Motion.

Tracey O'Leary

Tracey was born and raised in New York and moved to Warren County in 2007. She has a BS in Business Administration and an MA in Emergency Management. She has a passion to help people, likes to be as prepared as possible and looks for the silver linings in every situation. She enjoys helping people to find the solutions they need for a positive outcome. As a mom and foster-mom to five children she has many years of personal experience navigating special education Specifically designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. services and the IEP process within local school systems.

Trevor West

Trevor was born and raised on a farm in Bedford County, VA and has grown up with a passion for helping others. He attended Bob Jones University and graduated with a bachelor's in criminal justice. He spent a short time in law enforcement before working as the head of security at a hospital. His passion for helping others stems from him being the closest in age to one of his brothers who has autism. It's Trevor's goal to always help others through his work and to always be at least 1% better than he was the day before.

Trisha Bruce

Trisha Bruce comes from a single parent home, where hardships are just small setbacks to any goal her mother put her mind to. Watching her mother accomplish so much as a single parent showed Trisha that she could achieve whatever she wanted in life if she set her mind to it and worked hard for it. Trisha's goal has always been to help those in need see that they too can achieve it all and to be there every step of the way, cheering them on. Coaching basketball has shown her that her passion is also to help the next generation achieve whatever they want. It gives Trisha great joy in life knowing a positive impact can give someone so much encouragement to go after their goals.

Tyeisha Jackson

Tyeisha currently resides in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She is a wife and proud mother of two amazing young boys who bring love and joy into her life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family watching movies, playing outside, and relaxing by the water soaking up the sun. She is a graduate of Germanna Community College where she received her Associates degree and is working towards obtaining her Bachelors. Tyeisha takes pride and finds joy in being able to help others, especially during their times of need. Her compassion and drive to do so began with helping to take care of her first cousin who had Down Syndrome. She learned basic sign language to help make communication easier. It was at that moment that she was introduced to the dire needs of those with disabilities and her compassion for them began to grow. During her time as a dental assistant of 15 years, Tyeisha was able to further develop and utilize her talents to help ease the anxiety of her patients, including going above and beyond for those that required extra attention and love. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her time as a dental assistant, she felt as though her talents and compassion to help others were better suited elsewhere, which brought her here to Moms in Motion. After learning of their mission and devotion to helping to make the lives of those living with disabilities in her community easier, she instantly felt the company was the perfect place to feed her passion of serving and helping others.

Tyler Andrews

Tyler Andrews was born in Okinawa, Japan to parents who each served in the United States Air Force. She moved to Georgia at age four where she was raised and completed her education. Tyler graduated from Spelman College in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Throughout her time at Spelman, Tyler participated in community causes to bring awareness to nutrition and promote community gardening. With her degree, Tyler entered the field of behavioral health and worked as a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) for children for five years. Tyler joined Moms In Motion to expand her capacity to support the community in areas of need. She is passionate about ensuring people can exercise their personal agency and it is her desire to close the gap between the insured and uninsured. Tyler enjoys drawing, trying different cultural dishes, and has two silly cats.

Vanessa Higgins

Vanessa has twelve years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. She graduated from the ECPI Tech in Roanoke, VA with a major in Medical. After college, Vanessa married and now lives in Covington, VA with her husband and three children. She has worked in residential facilities, group homes Housing arrangement where 3-7 people with disabilities live, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Homes usually have support staff that rotate around the clock on shifts. More, the public school system, in the homes of clients, medical facilities, nursing homes, and TeleaMedicine. Vanessa is passionate about working with individuals with special needs and their families, and she is excited to continue to enhance their lives through Moms In Motion.

Wendy Hayes

Wendy has lived in Virginia most of her life; she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Saint Paul's College. Wendy has been an educator in public schools and taught students with intellectual disabilities. She has previous experience as a counselor/case manager in corrections and she has been an educator in a correctios as well. Wendy has experience in in-home counseling and customer service. Wendy is married to her best friend, and she has one daughter, three stepchildren and five grandchildren. Wendy enjoys spending time with family and she enjoys crafting in her spare time.

Yuliana Paulino

Yuliana is a proud mother to a wonderful little girl and high school teacher. She grew up in Falls Church and currently resides in Stafford Virginia. From a young age she knew that she wanted to have a career where she would be working with people and helping those in need. Yuliana teaches Spanish at James Monroe High School and works with kids of all different backgrounds. Through her career in education, she has seen the need for awareness and advocacy for children with disabilities. Yuliana does her best to advocate for her special needs students by attending meetings pertaining to their education and accommodations. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with family, read and write poetry and watch any kind of documentary.

Zinta Brannon

Zinta was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She obtained her BSW at James Madison University and has always had a gift of empathy and service for others. Zinta has previous experience working with formerly homeless individuals dealing with mental health and substance abuse. Prior to that, she worked with individuals with disabilities and severe behaviors. She has had the pleasure of seeing firsthand the variety of strengths and abilities each of these individuals possessed. Zinta is a firm believer that all individuals need to have access to services to be empowered and live their lives to the fullest. Zinta currently resides in Texas and has been with Moms In Motion since May of 2022. Since being employed with Moms In Motion, she has moved twice, from Northern Virginia to Florida and then from Florida to her current home in Texas. Moms In Motion has provided her with immense flexibility which has been a tremendous blessing. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, rollerblading, and playing video games.
