Castlelyons NS is a co-educational primary school catering for children in mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Rang 6 along with having two special classes catering for children with moderate learning needs... We pride ourselves in providing excellence in education through the holistic development of each individual child and strive to foster independence in our pupils and a curiosity that will lead them to being life-long learners... As Castlelyons National School has a trained PST (Professional Support Team) in place, we are happy to engage in the NIPT (National Induction Programme for Teachers) process with NQTs (Newly Qualified Teachers) employed in the school for the required period of time and who wish to engage in that process.
